Hi Stone, I know this is random, but since we are both growing the same strain, or similar, mine is an auto, I just wanted to share, I fucking love saying the word zkittles. It’s like the best word ever. Makes my brain smile every time I mentally say it.

I was under the impression that when our trichomes go from white to amber they are going from more THC/less CBD to more CBD/less THC. In effect, I thought one could create "bastard" cbd weed simply by letting the whole thing go till all the trichs are amber. This discussion is making me question this impression. Am I incorrect?
You may be correct. Who knows? I think we can go by trich color like you say. More testing required;)

Isn't it! SKITTLES SKITTLES ! I think it's one reason I grew 2 of them!

CBD level resides in how much plant produces. That varies between plants to plants. No telling how much you can get with different plants I know I got 22% CBD oil back 15 years ago to cure my throat cancer. But if I'm not mistaken you can get up to 33% now. But to extract it easy to do. Dangerous but easy. Have to test it on some technical crap machine to see the break down how much each plant produces.
My first mostly cbd plant is coming.
Probably true. It's only been fairly recently (last 20 years?) that breeders have been working to max out the THC and minimize the CBD.
Makes sense.
Because you can dial in the ratio you want rather than hoping the blended plant you grew has the best balance for what ails ya. This month you might get the best results from a 1:1 but in the summer a 1:2 might work better. Also, a lot of the blended varieties have inconsistent ratios depending on the phenotype.
More perfect sense.
:ciao:Stone! I was just looking at the Skywalker seeds on the @CoffeeShopSeeds site this evening. My older sister was just saying the other night that the best weed she ever smoked was Skywalker and she’s never been able to find it again……to which my response was “um, how ‘bout I grow some?”. :cheesygrinsmiley: Looking forward to watching YOU grow some! :high-five:
Wow! That's good press for Skywalker Kush! C'mon babies!
They look interesting strains Otter, looking forward to their progress!
We'll have fun getting them grown for sure!

I have two Peyote Zkittlez currently. She loves LST and recovers fast. I will say I noticed she honestly don’t like being tied down to much. I’ve grown it four cycles now and the number one thing I’ve noticed is she is very sensitive to lower temps where as all my others tolerated a few 50-55F nights. Can’t wait to see the progress my friend!

That may be so, but I will tell you that you CAN get a sativa high off an indica by harvesting it with no amber. I know cuz i just did it with my Blueberry. It's straight sativa rocket fuel, nothing indica about it.
And this article suggests you can indeed go the other way. They did a sativa high to more couch lock by decarbing at a much high temp than normal and therefore converting the THC into CBN.

So, this opens up the strain choices quite a bit. I like indica's because of indoor growing and height concerns, but I know many prefer the sativa's.

So it looks like you can grow your favorite strain and get the after effect you want by either trichome color or decarb settings.

That has been my experience now that I know a little bit about when to harvest for what type effect I'm looking for. Thanks Azi!

I have a Kosher Kush and a skittles glue started myself, so I will be following along for the comparison!
Nice! A journal? Any link?

Good to know! I'm glad I waited for winter to leave! I probably won't see under 65f now. Thanks!
