Xbones Super-Grow Adventure - Veg For Juicing & Flowering For Everything!

Re: Xbones PlatinumLED Super-grow Adventure (Veg for Juicing + Flowering For Everythi

You can see the intensity of light from the PlatinumLED P1200 on the small plant where there is a red band across the plant. Shouldn't the colours blend together better or is it because the light is too close? Most LED pictures you see are in the pink-purple zone and you don't see colour banding like that. It's not a criticism just a question.

Hey there I think the reason it looks different is because of the lens I use to take the pictures.. If I took it away all you would have is the pink-purple bleeding the picture like always.. The lens I use that I linked to a few posts up makes it look normal so you can see how much more powerful the Reds are between the two leds..

So far these type of pictures has not been seen on forums or online elsewhere that I have seen with cannabis plants under LED's anyways so that might be why its looking different.. I will take a comparison picture tomorrow without the filter to show you just how powerfully blinding these LED's are lol..

You're right about not seeing these type of pictures before which is why I queried it. It will be good to see a comparison shot. It's obviously our eyes that are mixing the colours into pink-purple tones.

I'm not going to lie... I prob drooled a little when I first used this filter for pictures. lol Cant wait to get a better camera for picture taking now! If they were not in dark time right now I would go take a comparison picture right now but sadly ill have to wait till tomorrow...

Re: Xbones PlatinumLED Super-grow Adventure (Veg for Juicing + Flowering For Everythi

It certainly gives a clearer picture under LEDs.

I've just thought of something else. If we are now seeing LED without our eyes blurring the colours, does that mean we can now see a mistake in the colour mixing of the LEDs on the panel? The smaller plant clearly shows 3 distinct bands across the top corresponding to the 3 bands you can see on the P1200. Does this mean that the lighter bands on the plant are not receiving the right amount of red? It could be the angle of the light is too narrow or maybe the light is too close to the plant but the filter you are using may well be showing up some questions with regard to LED placement on the boards or even reflector angles.

Unwittingly, you may have thrown the whole LED plant lighting world into a new dimension of colour mixing.

Hmmm I don't know but I know the glasses and lens are designed to make the LED lights look like normal vision by taking the insane reds and whatnot toning them down since there like green sunglasses when you wear them outside the tent.. One thing mark told me from PlatinumLED's when we were chatting about the lights was that I would notice brighter Reds now because of better diodes compared to my old model I had gotten from a different company few years ago so the blue and red difference could be because of the new Platinum are just overpowering the lens making a little red come through.. I noticed in my pictures the Platinum P450 LED's in a tent by themselves make the picture more red because there is not a more blue or less red light pulling the picture down i guess you could say..

Haha but who knows with me in the gray area with these types of pictures we will have to see how it goes with newer LED's in the Future.. I love the gray area tho! Seems me and Angie will be in the gray area and leading the way for juicing cannabis online also so this will be one exciting and unique adventure so everyone can see how great cannabis is and start juicing too if you can!

Re: Xbones PlatinumLED Super-grow Adventure (Veg for Juicing + Flowering For Everythi

I'll watch with interest as juicing is something that I would be interested in. No more questions on lights, I promise lol.

Haha no no feel free to ask any questions you like im an open book and if I dont know ill try my best to figure it out.. the lens is still blowing my mind.. so far im surprised its not more popular to tell ya the truth.. but they are a little pricey for glasses but they save your eyes so that is very important with these powerful LED's. I also have no idea how long they have been out so maybe they will build in popularity.. I seen they had lens for all the types of lights too not just LED's..

I've just remembered I have got some cycling glasses that have changeable lens in 4 different colours. I'm going to try taking photos through them and see what happens.

Aloha!

Remember first and foremost that you're viewing things right now through very tricky lenses that do funny things to colors. The light emitted is very specific in wavelength and the glasses are very specific in their filtration.

If you look at the glasses, they're a green-ish color lens. This means that the lights that will appear the brightest are anything that is in the light blue-ish/aqua-ish/green-ish spectrum. Since a good amount of our diodes in the that band range are grouped together in the sections shown, the glasses are picking up a good amount of that and letting it rather dominate things right under the diodes. Again.. remember that these are very special lenses and not what either the plant is truly seeing or obviously what our eyes see.

With the lights anywhere above a few inches, you're getting PLENTY of color mixing! It's just viewing it in this new way that's a little shocking to the system at first. ..and yes.. you can see how much more vibrant and powerful our improved diodes are over older models..

And.. OH SO BEAUTIFUL!! We can't stop staring! Those colors of 11-band vibrant goodness... mmmm....

Hey everyone! Here is some pictures I took without using my filter in the same tent with the same LED's at full power just like the other pictures.. There is just a little bit of a difference lol

Even tho its blinded by pink and purple you can still tell the blue and red difference between the 2 LED's

Here is with the filter again so you can compare easily

I thought I would also let you guys see my hanging system I have for these Hug LED's.. Since I have them in an 8x8x8 tent that means I have 8ft high ceiling thank god or I would have no room for plants lol.. As you can see the hanging system for these LED's eat up alot of room even with the P450's so plan ahead if your growing with tents or not much height.. I'm sure I could rig up a tighter hanging system tho if it becomes a problem in the future..

Super sweet!! Thanks again for sharing!

Love the side by side intensity comparison.. :peace:

<light envy> :green_heart:

That is some wicked lighting real estate there xbones. The lights themselves are sick, but the whole rig is certainly a candidate for the benchmark indoor setup. Nice.

Haha thanks! One problem I have been having is to much on one plug/breaker and been tripping my breakers when I have the Big LED's on full power.. Going to have to split up my Big LED's on different plug/breaker to keep that from happening.. just under 1600watts is alot with the other little things running.. The veg tent will only be 1000watts with all the blower and whatnot so it should be fine on the plug/breaker its on..

These monsters are going to suck up some juice themselves when I start flowering.. Im scared to see the power bill haha! It will be a hell of alot better then any other lights tho at these watts lol.. Cant wait to see the fat babies they are going to make from start to finish..

I worries about them breaking themselves during flowering mothers again so going to put a net on them in a few days and tie them to the pole or something after we get done taking a few more clones.. Good news is I peeked inside a rockwool and seen roots so not much longer I hope lol

Re: Xbones PlatinumLED Super-grow Adventure (Veg for Juicing + Flowering For Everythi

A great setup Xbones. There is a huge difference in the pictures with and without the filter.

Thanks! Cant wait to get to flowering and vegging.. should be a few days to week at most till some roots are coming out then the fun starts! lol

Ya those are prob the last pink/purple pictures you will ever see from me lol.

Re: Xbones PlatinumLED Super-grow Adventure (Veg for Juicing + Flowering For Everythi

well i made it in here finally, this journal travels quickly ;)

well i have been searching for glasses that do this! may wait to see another sponsor of 420mag that is designing their own before i buy one though. I do like the look of the red-purple led but to be able to see deficiency and normal color while working in grow room would be great, and you look stylish too! haha

;)

Sweet did not know someone was designing some on here.. I found them on Amazon because I was needing eye protection and seen they make stuff look normal so figured why not try them can always return them if they were that bad lol.. Ya you can tell when your plant is sick or over/under feed quicker then when they are flushed with the pinks/purples I have been able to notice allot easier now.
