Howdy all. Back from the old ------ponics days before they were banished.

plan to be around and I have questions about indoor dirt grows. Who wants to help?

Woodsman!

Man it sends shivers up my spine when I think of the good Ol days...lol

I think I need to have some Pink lady porn...so you need to at least post a few voyeur shots for me man... just want to see her pink hairs man!

Excuse me for that brief loss of control brother...I'm getting better now, my physiologist (DAMN YOU SPELL CHECK) took me off the lithium and gave me a tackle box filled with different colored goodies. :geek:

Grow on my brother and great to see you back and helping out!

Hey Boot! I'll try to help, what's the question or questions?

Thanks Woodsman, Made any pipes lately?

To free myself up from the day to day baby sitting of the ------------ i.e, checking ph levels ppm/EC levels and rez levels I am attempting to transition from 100% DWC to 50% DWC 50% Dirt/ProMix transitioning to 100% Dirt/Promix for a grow next December thru January so I can take a vacation and just have someone visit the babies maybe twice while I'm gone. I plan on being gone from Dec. 20, 2012 thru January 5, 2013 so just a little over two weeks. I would like to set up a drip/Ebb and Flo system on a drip table with a non recovery on the overflow. I am trying to determine the best way to work this out. Right now I am beginning with growing/vegging (currently 5) indoor plants using dirt (2) and Pro Mix (3). In the DWC testing your PH and EC is simple. This dirt business is a new ball game. I am currently feeding these plants, in veg stage, with technaflora grow recipe. I have one dirt in the bloom room with 3 other DWC plants, all these are different. 1 Northern Lights (DWC), House & Garden; 1 UK Cheese (DWC), Advanced Nutrients; 1 Bubblegum (DWC), Technaflora; 1 Blackberry Kush, Dirt. I am feeding the Kush the same nutes as I am giving the Northern Light. These Bloom plants are all in week four of Bloom.

Of the plants I have in Veg some will be ready to go into bloom when those currently in are ready for harvest 5/5/12 to 5/12/12, the rest will be added to bloom room as they mature.

In my dirt plants I have gone down two different roads, One with a mix of Happy Frog and Ocean Something or other 50% ea. and the other Pro Mix. Not really knowing what the hell I'm actually doing I'm really, at this point, 3 to 4 weeks into veg. am treating them the same at feeding time. I'm feeding them a Technaflora recipe for the veg stage. Although I veg all my plants in Technaflora, as previously pointed out, I use several different nutrient regimens in Bloom. i need advice on Blooming these little babies currently in Veg. The Kush currently in Bloom is receiving the sam nutes as the House and Garden is getting for a rez mix.

Any comments, suggestions, alerts, alarms ?? All comments considered a blessing.

This is an indoor grow/bloom. Bloom using 3 ea. 600 watt HPS over, currently, 4 plants. I also use two fixtures consisting of 4 ea 100W CFL's in each fixture I have two ea. 5000k bulbs and two ea. at 2700k this to add color spectrum (5000k) and add extra bloom spectrum to the high sun time, these lights are on from 11:00am thru 3:00 pm The 600 HPS's are on 11.5 hrs.

Veg using 20 100 watt CFL's consisting of 5 ea. parabolic domes with 4 ea 100 watt CFL's ea fixture independently controlled in lateral and vertical planes.

Hello woody, miss the pipes and the patio full of wonderful looking ladies, hope all is well and understand the quiet in the corner (Been their done that), Bless...

Hey Kid congrats on the MOM and all the other accolades that are far overdue!

Here's a quote from you above...

Anything less powerful for you wouldn't work...you probably need to double the dose :rasta:

As you requested..here's a couple of pink tops and a group shot of my 2010 outdoor for old times sake!

For flower I haven't used all the extra ferts that many use, I use Fox Farm Tiger Bloom 1/2 strength at the beginning of flower (3/4 strength thereafter) every second watering along with a tablespoon of molasses, I also mix into the soil's surface ( it could be made into a tea also) Fox Farms 'Peace of Mind' Fruit and Flower granules (5-8-4). one or perhaps two doses (max) during flowering. I use Fox Farms Happy Frog and Ocean Forest also, by the way. I also use lime in the soil to slow down the eventual pH drop. Be careful though! After several doses of lime (mixed with the watering) it can build up too much and then it's a battle to lower the pH! I've always wanted to use all the super ferts in my grows, but lack of funds never allows me to go all the way. I just try to do the best with what there. It has worked great for me in the last two grows. I'm set to do the same this time also. I was in Lowe's today looking for something to buy or make for my screen (scrog). That will be a first for me if I do it.
Growing in water or bubbles is way over my head Boot, never attempted it. The auto drip thing rings a bell. Someone did a auto drip system for their grow a while back. Can't remember who though? Sounds like a nice operation you got going.
The mixed light in bloom is supposed to get you a little more potency, I did that on the my last indoor. Why aren't you running the 5000k CFLS the whole 11.5 hours? I'm no expert so is that something you learned?

Sonzor! Howdy my friend I'm still making them and selling them on eB**. Didn't grow last year, thought we could lose the house and would have been bad timing. Also I'm good for another year (at least) with what's left of the harvest. Of the seven plants, only one was a dud. The NL from seed was a lemon, my other NL#5 (the Runt) the one I regenerated from the previous indoor grow, is A+! It's sweet and fruity taste and dynamite body and head high are terrific ( some sativa traits very evident in what is a mostly indica NL#5)

:reading420magazine: Woodsman, The time on the CFL's is just something that seems to make sense. In the physical world outside the sun, in its approach to any equinox or solstice, reaches its zenith in the sky directly overhead at NOON in your frame of longitude (time zone) As the sun reaches this apex the rays are subjected to less atmosphere and therefore more powerful in the light beams we see but also the spectrum of light we cannot see. I am attempting to replicate this condition. This is the first grow I have incorporated this iteration.:yummy:

In addition Woods you indicate DWC is over your head. I beg to differ. Utilizing DWC gives you complete control over the root environment and the ability to change that environment, at any time, 100%, with no shock to the plant. As I am just beginning with this soil on a larger scale it seems very mysterious to me! And you know the tutorial in DWC says it all about DWC except nutrient variety and selection

Makes sense Boot if you look at it that way! I'm stuck doing low wattage grows so if I could, I would have as many lights as I had receptacles available. Most of what we know comes from experimenting:thumb:, best of luck with your approach!

I need to run another 20 amp line to my Bloom Room. Right now with hydroponics, the ancillary draw of pumps etc. I can run 4 600 watt HPS with the 800 watts of CFL. That's with the CFL's coming on and going off during the 11.5 hr HPS cycle. If I add any more significant draw it kicks a breaker in the morning when it comes on. I also have 3 fans running 24/7.

I'm worried my wife will get pissed off if the electric bill goes up a few dollars! Either your not married, your very wealthy, or your wife is 'in it with you' (lucky you)! LOL

Single, Electric bill and land taxes are all I am subject to. I thank the Lord for all the blessings bestowed upon me. Happy Easter Wood,..."He is Risen"

Wood, Do you check the EC/PPM of your run off water? I'm checking mine on the Blackberry Kush that's in Bloom and I'm getting an off the chart on PPM (2000+ppm)
and a ph level of about 5.3. I've begun feeding/flushing the Kush with 0 (zero) water. Its showing very little, if any, trich development at 5 weeks. Any comments?
