Fellas, IM BACK ON TRACK!!!
Ok so I’ve been MIA the last 2 weeks or so due to the fact she stopped growing and I couldn’t figure out why. I was doing research after research and I was just about to pull her out and start a new one when it hit me.
I have the temp anywhere around 73-80 degrees. Humidity around 65-70. I have a small fan up top blowing out the stale air in the tent out of the top vent. But I turn the main fan off when winter hit because it lowered the temperature in my tent too much. That’s when she stop growing. And i couldn’t figure out why.
Well after doing so much research, it hit me. I have no fresh air coming in. I have the tent closed up all the time due to the winter and my house being a little colder then in the summer/ fall.
Well I opened up a bottom vent, put a small fan in front of it to get some fresh air pulled into the tent. And Wala, within two days she doubled in size! She must’ve been suffocating the last two 2- 2 1/2 weeks, and stopped growing.
So, I’m actually on week 6 of her life span. But started week 4 nutrients today (Transition week). And I removed the 400 W light, and added the 600 W. I also ordered a way better pH meter because the $10 pen one wasn’t giving me an accurate reading. It was close but close isn’t good enough when dealing with plants obviously.
So she’s back on track! I’m sure the hiccup is going to affect the end result. But as you can see with these stem trainer things I bought she has an equal level canopy. One side is a little struggling, but I’m gonna work on that on to get it to catch up. I’m hoping to get a good number of top colas now instead of just one main one.
I’m planning on her to do some fast growing now in flower, since she’s been struggling for so long. Like
@Icemann420 told me “Nothing is ever wasted in this hobby, just lessons learned”. This is only my second plant I’ve ever grown.
Water holding at around 5.8pH. This new pH meter is the bomb. 100$, and you can keep it in the bucket the whole time. Just plug the other end into the meter and boom. Accurate reading. This is a real lab pH meter. Stepping my equipment game up one piece at a time. Next is a better light. Anyone wanna lend me 400$?!?! Hahah.
