Who Let The Dogs Out? Chem Comparison Grow!

Thanks so much @beez0404 ! I only gave 3ml/gal of calmag. Should be alright. She was getting rusty spots like this.

I’m pretty sure that’s a Ca deficiency right? And they’re mostly up near the top of the plant

I think your diagnosis was spot on and the 3ml / gallon should fix her right up.

It was funny, i was mixing up my nutes and I’m thinking to myself, I’ll probably need less ph down with the calmag. So I mix the nutes and I go for the ph pen, but I got distracted with something and didn’t check the ph. Then I came back and started watering in the mix. Half way through I realized I never checked the ph so I checked it real quick. It was 6.25

Hello guys. I've been admiring everyone"s beautiful grows. I had computer problems And, I lost my third grow to mice. It seem that I have everything under control now. So, I'm on my fourth grow. I have 5 Night Shades from Barney that have not peak yet. And, four Blackberry that have broke out of the soil. Sure wish the Chemdog work out, I'll be trying her again.:peace:

Sorry to hear about the mice killing off more of your plants. I will say that I got some Blackberry about 9 or 10 years ago and it was some of the most potent pot I ever smoked. That was with it being heavily seeded too! I had been smoking a bunch of home grown from a buddy that was decent and then I smoked a joint of the Blackberry one day about an hour or so before work. I got to work and we had a meeting and I was uncomfortably high the whole time. One small joint of the Blackberry got me higher than multiple 1.5-2 gram joints of my buddies home grown. At the time my tolerance was quite high, so for one joint to have me uncomfortably high, especially an hour after smoking it, was unheard of!

Sorry to hear about the mice ... I'm just glad our cat is a mouse hunter.

Fungus, mould, insects ... and now mice ... the list keeps growing.

Just jumping in late, as was directed to this awesome thread. Humboldt Seeds Chemdawg, two weeks old, topped after the third node.

I've heard great things about this one, I hope it delivers in flowering. Thinking of switching after week 4 or 5 if it allows me. Constant topping will be my priority until then, as I am indoors and don't have much space.

I hear they can tripple after the switch.

Thanks for the heads-up ... I'm learning there are some very potent strains out there ... 28% THC!!! :)

BTW, I'm still very interested in the High BRIX.

I feel like I've got soil with Fox Farm under control ... and I'm now trying coco with Advanced Nutrients.

Do you know if I can I use High BRIX with coco or ProMix HP?

Awesome!!! And great choice!!!

I have one plant I'm keeping short in veg ... and I just took four clone cuttings off my first plant using the "mod-quad" method ...

Hey Saul,

Welcome - glad to have you join us. Nice looking young gal you have there. Please feel free to post here as your grow progresses!

What do you guys/gals think? Here are photos of three different buds all on the same Jellium plant. She is at flip +58 days today. When I am looking at these buds I am seeing them as swelling, increasing in size. My buddy was looking at the plant last night and said he thought they were foxtailing.

That's a negative ghost rider ...

On my first harvest I tried to get extra yield with extra lights and putting the lights close to the buds. I saw the pistels shrivel and the sugar leaves curled & browned. The foxtail was like a bunch of thin calyxes stacking on each other.

It's been awhile since I've posted any sort of update on my Chem 91 X Aliendog Cherry plant. I have intentionally been keeping her smallish as I really don't have anywhere in which to flower her out. Today I moved her into my homemade vegging box. I had to increase her pot size as she just wasn't happy. She had to be watered every day and was getting "droopy" towards feeding time. I only moved her from a 3 gallon to a 4 gallon pot but that should buy me some more time. I'll end up having to top her again as I know she's going to want to take off now with new soil around her. I'm thinking I won't have a spot for her in my flowering tent for 4-5 weeks. Anyway, here are a few of my crappy pictures.

She is approximately 25" from top of the soil to top of the plant.

And here she is in her new temporary purple palace.

Had a bad gnat issue and none of the available "GNAT TRAP" type remedies worked. Just had to find and clean up their food and breeding source. And then keep a fly swatter in one hand and a can of Raid in the other. I was very reluctant to spray near the plants. Gnats are one of the worst infestations to experience because of they are prolific breeding and they only need a speck of food and love damp environments.
