Lime=calcium carbonate and I usually go with good old dolomite. I understand many, such as build a soil, think there's too much Mg in dolomite. And suggest oyster shell and gyp. Idk, my plants love it.
Well that sounds like a nightmare! I thankfully haven't experienced that scenario. I believe what they're talking about though is a specific cal mag ratio that microbes love the most. These ratios (theres others too) were first described by Dr Albrecht and are the foundation of the high Ca organic methods found these days. Including Doc Buds kit.The reason for the other choices are many.
First tho is short - medium - long term Ca availability.
Plants will use up a lot of Ca and not very much Mg.
Eventually you get an Mg toxicity that looks like a Ca deficiency and treat it with Cal/mag. Which only helps for a short while then you back in the vicious circle with even more Mg in the soil.
You can use the dolomite - I wood just use it 1/2 and 1/2 with say Oyster shell flour.
Damn! You have a fucking epic garden man. I love it! What strain is front and center there? A little to the left..Here's my current Chemdawg in flower - about 3 weeks so she should be done by the time this grow gets going. I have several clones in various stages.
91 Star - top dawg seeds gifted to me by friend here.

91 Star in on the right in the back corner. She's still stretching.

Some great looking girls you have, great job with themCopper Chem 2
I too have noticed that of my stardog cross. They’re typically not fussy ( I have met one of the fussy phenos) and they grow so damn fast it’s incredible. To this day I haven’t grow a strain side by side with my cookies and chem that has been able to keep up in vigor. You guys will see what I mean on Monday when I post another update. Thanks Ghost. Yeah they're Chem 4 x (Chem4xChemD) My first totally Chem plants. They're really easy not fussy at all. A pleasure to grow.
Yeah Im starting to realize the fussiness I got on one of my phenos the last grow is probably more from the cookies side of the genetic pool. She was more sensitive to nute concentrations as well as more prone to light stress. The other big big CnC that grow could take full power 240w cobs at like 16” and nearly 2000ppm feeding.I can say the same thing about my Chem, last time I run them they outperformed the other two strains and this run I have one in there with 4 other strains and she’s ahead of them all so far. I’ve run them in coco and dwc, they do great in both. The only thing I have noticed about my chem is they like a little more calcium than a lot of strains but other than that mine are pretty easy to grow also✌

Hi!Just stopping by today to say hi to everyone.
