White Widow Regular Grow!

A bit of work checked off the list. Hydroshop run complete with a sale on so I got two extra trellis nets, 2 new fans and 2 bags of coco to stock up. I got to speak to my Grow Guru and he said i should use a colloidal silver solution with atleast 80-100 ppm. In my research, people were saying from 20-50 ppm though I think I'll go with my Jedi Masters advice.

The humidifier arrived and I don't know what the review is talking about as its pretty quiet on full. I do like the UV feature for sterilizing the water. I have it set for 12 hours and ill monitor the RH during lights out. Bumped up the room to approx. 65-70%. The fan monitor is reading 55%, the 2 stand alone monitors are cheap and I expect they're not that accurate though ones right near the humidifier and ones in the corner so 75% and 61%. The Widow seems to be relaxing its stressed out pointy leaves.

The Skywalker is finally breaking through with daily new leaf growth which is a good sign and I have a little more confidence in it making the full run today.

I'll be adding Hygen to the coco line up next round for the Candida as I forgot I needed certified organic nutrients and it turn out Sensi Pro Bio Diesel isn't, however claims to be, and I got the inside scoop from my Growmie. I need it to be for any medicine grown for Mum, hence going "True Organics" eventually. Still awaiting the humidity/temp controller for that and the heater, as when the tent goes up I'll need it! Lights are in route so the super fast rebuild will be done this week. I figured there no point doing much until then so its ventilation, tent, lights!

As a untimely bonus I rebuilt the worm farm as it got flooded by the rain and had no draining so the worms have a new home and I now have properly drained farm with lots of worm tea. It's currently ranked and anaerobic so I'll be tending to it everyday until it dries out and corrects itself. I found the worms on an island in the middle surrounded by water. Poor little bastards. It was smelling great a few days ago.

Finally achieved a full wet/dry cycle with a nice wilt on the White Widow! Full feed schedule of Bio-Canna PH 5.4 EC 1.1
Pepper town is getting crazy. I want to see how long I can push them before re-potting.

The Skywalker OG Auto finally bounced back and is producing normal leaf growth. It's watering day for her as well.

Everything is on Canna. I found out from my Grow Guru that Sensi Pro Bio Diesel isnt FDA approved and haven't disclosed any product testing on their organic claims, so I'll be rolling with the Bio-Canna for everything but the Skywalker, and I'll be buying the full line of Hy-Gen nutrients as they are 100% certified organic.

I'm taking the rebuild slow. Have to take plastic down, soundproof another wall, reseal it all then finally get up the 5x9 Gorilla Grow tent and the new LED's...

Watch this space for some grow room eye candy in the next few days!

The White Widow has bounced back beautifully from its dry period. Plenty of new top growth appearing and once everything is setup it will have its own 5x5 space to grow out into. The new humidifier is doing wonders. The room is holding between 70-75% RH and you can see the difference in the cannas colour and how comfortable it feels with a high humidity in veg, which the grow room had been suffering from. I did a heap of cable managment too even though I'll have to re-do it in a few days, it was good practice to rethink the setup. I've been misting everthing with the Chillie/Garlic spray as its a good preventative measure for powdery mildew.

The Skywalker is looking great! I'm low stress training it and I did a minor operation with precision cutting with a scalpel to remove all the deformed dying leaves. Bend over nicely and I may attempt to grow it horizontally in a straight line and see what happens! I skipped her feed for a flush with Cyco Kleanse Purifier and I'll feed her 4 hours before lights out its normal regime of Sensi Pro.

Pepper Town is hot hot hot! It's the last thing on the to-do list. I'm quite enjoying having some companion plants along with the canna. With the worm farm producing worm tea, I'll be growing enough organic vegetables to stop purchasing them from the store. Nothing like that earthy flavour of goodness!!!

Colloidal Silver: Ultimate Cannabis Seed Feminizer

By Nick Griffith Published: February 4, 2021 | Last updated: January 18, 2022

Key Takeaways

When the time comes to plant seeds, most farmers would prefer to use feminized cannabis seeds. To ensure seed feminization, most people resort to purchasing feminized seeds from commercial seed banks. But how does one guarantee they are what they claim to be?

When the time comes to plant seeds, most farmers would prefer to use feminized cannabis seeds. To ensure seed feminization, most people resort to purchasing feminized seeds from commercial seed banks. But how does one guarantee feminization and what is the most efficient way to do so other than purchasing seeds? After doing research and utilizing different ways to produce feminized cannabis seeds, I have found that using ionic colloidal silver is the most efficient, safest, and cost effective method for producing feminized seeds.

Cannabis pollen sacs.

How Colloidal Silver Works on Cannabis Plants

Here is how it works: When using colloidal silver formulated and 20 ppm or greater as a foliar spray, drenching the target area of the plant for 10-18 days in a row, the silver ion then inhibits the ethylene production needed by the cannabis plant to produce female flowers; In turn forcing the female plant to produce male pollen sacs. Because female plants having zero male chromosomes the pollen produced is female, resulting in 99.99% guaranteed female seeds when using the pollen from the plant that was treated with colloidal silver.

When to apply colloidal silver: The best time to use colloidal silver for feminization would be a day or two before you switch to flowering (12/12.) Immediately begin spraying colloidal silver on newer growth every day until male sacs start to form (typically 10-18 days.)
Once you visualize the male sacs starting to form I would separate and isolate this particular plant from other plants that are flowering so you don’t pollinate other female plants (the less air flow the better so pollen doesn’t get airborne.) Once male sacs are developed it takes quite some time for them to open and produce a yellow like pollen (typically 2-3 weeks but varies with different genetics.)

744f5985-ee67-4f74-9e71-aedf89b837cd.jpg
It can take 2-3 weeks for male sacs to produce pollen once developed.
Once pollen is present, gently tap the sacs on a mirror or smooth surface making it easy to collect the pollen. Use the pollen right away or store it a container in the freezer for later use. Now you have “female pollen” readily available to pollinate any genetics your heart desires! The next step is to pollinate your flowers (everyone uses different methods for pollination so I will let you decide how to do that)

Not only is colloidal silver used as an oligodynamic biocide, but it has many other benefits for plants as well, including feminization and sterilization. Thanks to science and nature's elements, colloidal silver can be used to maximize yields and maintain plant sustainability throughout the entire life cycle of cannabis.

Helpful Tips When Creating Feminized Cannabis Seeds

  • Pick the best looking female plant for this process to ensure premium genetics.
  • Make sure to separate and isolate the plant once sacs start to form – move to another room away from flowering plants.
  • Be prepared and take the necessary steps to have in place, a female cannabis plant that is nicely flowering and isolate and pollinate it with the feminized pollen created with colloidal silver (take some pollen on the end of a Q-tip and gently tap it over the flowers you would like to pollinate.)
Within 3-6 weeks your flowering plant will produce feminized seeds. GUARANTEED!

So the rebuild done. The 5x9 Gorilla Grow Tent was a bitch to get to 7ft with a 7ft ceiling, its touching though it just fit so im ecstatic about it after 5 years of working with a bare frame and losing light.

I frizzled the clones accidentally with the heater though their only an experiment so no biggie. The plants were in stasis for a few days as i was laid up on the couch sick. Felt a bit better today so i banged out the rebuild in one go.

The Hungarian peppers are beginning to flower in thier little pots. Very thirsty every day so it may be time for a moni transplant when I finish cleaning some bigger pots.

My ganja grow guru said to aim for a ppm of 80. He has a doctorate in Biology and Horticulture so he knows his shizzle.

Looking good, nice setup. It looks like you really had to shoehorn that tent in there ;)

Oh man you wouldnt believe how tight a fit it was. That was the majority of the time spent on the rebuild. I started with zipties with the extension on then worked my way around slowly with maximum force applied. I had to bend the frame to slot each pole in, thankfully Gorilla Grow Tents are strong as fuck! Sweaty work though I'm super satisfied. Temps and RH are perfect and its added extra silence to the op!

Oh i hooked up the wifi Inkbird heat and cooling monitor with the heater attached. The room got a bit cold earlier as I need to plug a vent still though it everything's now back at norms. Lazy monitoring for couch potatoes or when you're out and about! The notifications are nice and discreet aswell besides the waening alarm. Still haven't figured out how to turn that noisy fucker off!

Life's getting busy trouble as usual though the WW is going strong, trellised finally for the long veg into the 4x4 area im going for. However the Skywalker suffered lack of love and chaos in my life. Its my first auto i expected it to fail to learn how to grow them. Culled shitty clones and kept the best progeny. Hungarian Peppers are starting to flower and fruit!

Things are looking up! The low stress training ive adopted with the WW will hopefully fill out its space fully. Its just a matter of watching the paint dry during veg.

The Skywalker is bouncing back. Whwn i start it on daily run offs it should turn good. Flower nutrient regime after the final veg flush cycle.

Miss WW Clone is doing well besides a little frizzle. Its on Bio-Canna. I'm not impressed with Sensi Bio-Deisel as of yet!

Maintaining a great wet/dry cycle with the White Widow. Few deficiencies with its clone howevers she's still growing. The Skywalker OG Auto is flowering so I mixed up a new batch of nutrients. Went back to CMX, Mills A+B w/ Bio-Deisel and Rhino-K. EC 2.0 and a prefect pH of 5.8. The peppers are stating to fruit so i swapped thier nutes to tye Bio-Canna Flores regime. I've also planted Jack Herer and Critical Kush beans to fill out the grow space. 3 plants in the left 1 plant on the right. I'll stretch out the Jack Herer and xmas tree the Critical Kush and White Widow clone.

Hey growmie good mornin, so main lady first two pictures are showing signs of over watering my friend.... Heavy droop mixed with light color is showing you she's not happy.

How are you watering and how do you decide when to water again?

But the clones and the peppers look great... actually kinda jealous of your peppers lol I started three and they all died.

Yeah recent adventures unfortunately took their toll on the grow. Its not overwatered. I picked her up before and she was 90% dry and thats what i think the drop was from so she got another 4 litres. I also upped its nutrient regime adding Bio-Canna Boost to the mix and gave her a good flush. I've been low stress folding the colas horizontally along the netting before letting the colas start upwards. Not another watering until shes bone dry though another 2 months of flowrring is on the menu. By that time the Skywalker Auto will be done and the new beans and clone will be ready to flip to 12/12 along with the suoer veged out White Widow #1. Tgw Skywalker was shiwing weirdo deficiencies so I swapped back to good old Mills which gave me perfect growth ob the last grow. Also just added the second trllis to save work later.

I hand water with a watering can and everything is messured out to the ml adding nutes, pH and EC'd. The Humidifier and 360° fan work well together rehulating the tents rh perfecrly, just need to remove the beeper to the temp controller so I can get the heater inside tge tent andcminimise its need. Stupid beeping sound when the temp alarm goes off kills the stealth of the grow room!

Need a little help with the White Widow. Last two days shes been rapidly losing her green and becoming pale yellow. Im on about week 4 of a normal feed of Bio-Canna w/ Great White in every feed. Im unsure what todo I cant lose her. The other plants are thriving. I shat myself when I saw a Hungarian pepper! The Jack Herer amd Critical Kush just sprouted in 4 days in sync!

Any help with the White Widow wpuld be most appreciated!

Your plant looks to be undernourished to me. Please describe what a late veg stage flush cycle is

Heya @Emilya. Thanks for the fast response. A few days back everyone said it was drooping frim underwatering. I dugged more than halfway down and she was bone dry so I'm thinking shes startibg to drink on a regular routine. I think i got your watering style this time, though she took 6 litres with 30% run off. Very slow watering 2 litres every 20 minutes over an hour. I made a little moat aroubd the root ball area around the trunk and watering just the edges. Shes on a normal feed of Bio-Canna.
