White Widow Indoor/Outdoor

How many bulbs are you using to produce that wattage. Is that the CFL wattage or the equivalent wattage? What is the area of your grow room?

Quick update on my two greenhouse plants. They were planted directly into the soil and watered as and when needed LOL.

unfortunately here in Scotland we had a sudden cold snap. (The temperature went from +20 degrees Celsius one day to minus 12 degrees over night with the following day temps of -3 degrees Celsius.

Thus my two outdoor ladies went in a right mood and stopped all growth. I dug them out and found that even the roots had taken a hit (probs a few days from death).

I made the decision to bring them inside and keep them in my living room under the CFS I use for regular lighting and the regular daylight from the window. They are in ceramic pots in the same potting compost as my indoor plants.

I know I put them out waaaaaaaay to early in the year, but have never done an outdoor grow in Scotland so was just judging.

Anyway heres a few pics, they suck but I'm rather high and it's dark in here lol

:Namaste:

dam eh well i hope they bounce back my friend ! just think april shower bring may flower may 24 is whenn ill be puting out my plants

they look like they suffered mate, have you seen the weather report as well in our neck of the woods, even where i am down south its freezing, recon we got snow and temps as cold as -5 mate, so good job you bought them inside when you did cuz its getting worse over next few days, if your planning on keeping them in doors then you will be better using 6500kelvin cfls, order them off amazon or toolstation do sell them how ever their not listed under light bulb section but they do stock a 23watt 6500kelvin cfli bulb i can give you the order number if you want, the normal bulbs your using will make the plants stretch as their only good for the flower cycle, im sure you know all this anyway mate.

looking at your plants does the soil drain ok where you are, have you tried digging a hole about 8 to 10 inches deep then fill with water and see how long it takes to drain, cuz it could be that the soil is not draining and is restricting growth, one thing you can do is build a mound and plant the plants in that, this way the water will drain away, the other option would be to dig a big hole and fill it with a compost perlite mix, this would ensure the water drains from the roots properly,

the weather is going to be bad for a while mate, that what the papers say, its coming from lapland and northpole, so god knows when its gona get warm again, was gona plant a plant somewhere secluded the other day as it was nice and warm, now its freezing so glad i never but i will when the weather picks up again.

My grow space is my closet it is over 8' tall 2' deep and a little over 4' wide.
I have a T5HO(high output) it is 216watt cfl it has 4 housing for the 4' 54watt bulbs no equivalent that is the actually wattage on the box, it puts out 20,000 lumens. I have 2 85watt cfls each equivalent to 325watt they put out 4500 lumens apiece. I also threw in a 42watt cfl equivalent to a 150watt and 2700 lumens. Which is a grand total of actually 428watts cfl a lot of equivalent watts.
The T5 has about 3 times the lumens as the 85watt so I'm assuming it's wattage equivalent is 3 times the amount so I guess the equivalent is around 1775watts but don't quote me on that but the total lumens = 31,700. Yea it sounds like a lot I have just collected some big cfls.

Here are a few pictures of the plants, they are now on day six of 12/12

Here is a picture of the lights I am using. The lower two are 45watt 2700k CFL's and the one above is a 45watt 6400k CFL.

It's now day 8 of 12/12 for the two plants that were in there, I have now added an extra 65watt bulb (unfortunately it's the 6400k spectrum) however I am running on the principle that it's not the type of light that causes the plant to flower rather it's the amount of light received. IE, 12/12.

I added in a second white widow, it was the smallest of the group as it was topped a couple of weeks earlier..

I will add some more pictures later on.

Has anyone got any recommendations on some good nutes to use during flowering?

Also seen a massive improvement in the two plants I've brought in from the greenhouse. Moved them in front of a window in a warm part of the house, giving them the love they deserve ha ha.

Will post pictures in the morning

Here are the pics -

These two are of the ladies I brought in from the greenhouse, still droopy leaves but root ball has doubled in size and new growth has begun

And Finally a quick picture of my seedlings, currently 10 days old

Well, the journal seems pretty much dead. However I think I will see it through to the end.

Plants are now on day 12 of 12/12 (lol) Thankfully all the pre-flowers are showing through as nice fuzzy hairs so pleased to say I have all females :D.

They are under 210 watts of CFL, a mixture of both 6400k and 2700k, There is no schedule to the watering, just whenever they are dry. currently not using any nutrients during flowering.

Did a small amount of leaf cropping today as the CFLs were struggling to penetrate to the lower bud sites, also the plants themselves were already filling out the whole grow area, so in all it will help with light penetration as well as air movement between the plants.

Still no pest problems, at all.

In other words, ALL IS WELL

:D

Will post some pictures momentarily

hows things mate, not been online for a while been having problems with phone line so changed providers so ill be back on on the 30th properly, your plants are looking good mate, i found that using cfls my plants have remained small but very bushy, im using 3gallon pots and all 3 of my bigger plants have outgrown the pots and are very busy and the canopy is very even so im hoping for some very nice buds when its done.

good news on the female, i put mine into flower a week ago and i had 1 big bud#2 and i had 1 special kush and 1 nl x bb, and all mine have turned out fem as well, so it looks like we both got some very nice ladies, i couldnt believe 3 out of 3 where female for me, i was hoping to get 1 fem but turned out all 3 are so their in flower at the moment, i think cfls for veg are a good idea as they prevent stretch and push the plants to be very bushy, well thats what i have experienced anyway, im just in the flower stage now, im using only 2700k bulbs for flower, i was going to use a mixture but then i thought about the normal grow lights, ie hps and found that they only put out 2700k rating unless you have dual spec bulbs so ive just gone with the 2700k for now, ill keep an eye on it over the next week or so and if needed ill add some 6500k bulbs but for now they doing great under 2700k,

also your plant looks really healthy, i think that cfls are a great veg light, from my expirience anyway.

How did this grow turn out?

We would love to be updated with some pictures and info!

How about posting a 420 Strain Review?

I am moving this to abandoned journals until we get updates.

Thanks and hope all is well in your world!

Love and respect from all of us here at 420 Magazine!
