White Widow Grow - Indoor

If your using a iPhone download camera + it improves quality as you can adjust brightness levels and also had a neat macro setting that allows you to do this

Thanks robbo, I'm using a different app called pic collage it also has an editor in there that allows you to do basically the same except for the macro setting so I'll have to try it out.

It also allows me to monitor the grow without having to open the door that way I won't be losing as much heat and humidity from the box and only have to open it for watering and feeding.

Yeah i think I will do a time lapse journal. I gave a friend of mine one of the white widow seeds too and he is doing an outdoor grow so I might do some comparisons between the two of them also.

It will be an interesting comparison
My out door is a bit slower than normal this year because of the cooler wet year we are having
The mother plant is doing pretty good lots of buds and 3 main colas
I've topped one of her clones the same as I did her and looks like the will be 3 on it as well
I'll post some pics to my journal later today
Your set up is looking great, you are doing well

I have no other source of heating, at the moment it's in the hot press and with the light on it's getting a temp of 20-21 degrees Celsius.

That's alright mine sits 23-25c so it's not far off once the heats in there it'll keep fairly warm I've seem mine drop to 18 and it was probably lower before I could open the tent to check thru the night my advice is run lights thru the night so the day time keeps it warm and good humidity if it ain't raining

Yeah where having bad enough weather here too he's keeping it sheltered from the rain though so he can water on his own schedule.

Yeah il head over to get a look at the pics in a while looking forward to seeing them.
Thanks by the way!

Yeah only problem I have with the lights is that I have no timer so after it sprouts il be going from 24 hour light cycle to 16/8 the reason for that is because I have to turn the light on and off manually and I need my 8 hour sleep while lights are off in the night. ..

I'm old school, to me there is nothing wrong with 16/8, others may say different but where the hell does sun shine for 20/4?
That doesn't mean 20/4 isn't right or wrong, just saying 16/8 is more natural

Yeah exactly Tio your spot on. I usually would prefer to do 18/6, I think that does it just about right, but as I said I need the 8 hours sleep so i'll be doing 16/8. When it starts to bud I might consider putting it back on 24/0 just so they can fill out.

Hola MaryJane
If I may suggest...
you may want to consider painting your area flat white instead of using aluminum foil. Flat white is a much better reflector,
aluminum foil can create hot spots.
I'll be checking back to see the progress of your grow...good luck

Agreed. Car window heat reflectors work better than foil. Mylar is the best (imo). Sells at most home improvement stores.

Nice that it surfaced
What is the reasoning for dropping the seed with tap root up?

Great question Tio, have you ever noticed when germinating seeds that the root curves when it comes out. Basically I'm saving the plant a lot of energy as it only has to make that one curve under the soil, where as if I was to point it down then it would have to use more energy making an extra turn and it would take longer to surface too meaning I'm also saving time.

I know that's not greatly explained so I have this illustration from another site to give you an idea of what I mean.
