White Widow Fem, Inside 2 Cubic Feet, Soil Under LED

Now all kinds of twisted ideas are going through my mind. I have read a bit about having a 24-72 hour dark periods before harvest. As usual, there is a mixed bag of info on this subject. However, those who preach by the dark period usually back it up by at least some kind of scientific data as opposed to those who are against it.
Now as I have to leave on Thursday, figured maybe I could leave her in darkness until Sunday. That would be 72 hours darkness.
What are your thoughts guys?

It might be worth a try and you won't be there worrying about them or taking a peep. You would also be able to compare it to the previous grow and see for yourself if it does anything.
Go on, take one for the team in the name of research :)

Peace
I am tempted, I really am :) However, this would be incomparable to any of my previous grows, as it is the first time the buds will be as mature. For the first time I took the trichs to the "amber level".
I think it can't hurt her in short terms and I do not really care for her long term health as Sunday is the chop anyway. so wondering what does the "collective mind" have to say about it :)

Sorry K! I totally missed this before now. Way too late to weigh in on the dark period. Did you do it? I’m assuming you’re chopping it about now... all best with it! Snip snip! Puff puff!
:rollit:
No worries, say what you have to say anyway :)
Yes, I did it, and yes, you are assuming it right.. just finished with her, will update in a few moments :)

The day has come :) after 9 weeks of flowering and 112 days total, I chopped her today after a 72 hour dark period.
I hadn't noticed anything special after that dark period :) and unless it knocks my socks off smoking her, I would say there is no need for it. However, I must notice, that trimming was somewhat easier. It was easier to get deeper inside the bud and snip the leaves at the stem. Not a big deal though.
Wet weight is 183g and that is at least 30-32g dry. So that is my most productive grow so far :)
Almost forgot - inspected every single bud before and after the trim, and did not found a single nanner. So that was some polen on the loose that impregnated her. Someone around the neigbourhood can't keep their polen in their sacks.. :(
Here are a few pics of the harvest

Done with drying the harvest!

There is 40g of plant material on this plate

And here it is all sorted

To sum up the harvest:

This grow gave me 5g of stem, 10g of trimmings and fluf, 12g of popcorn and 22g of what could qualify as nugs and colas :) so a total of 35g of pure stemless smokable buds! :)

To sum up the grow:

This grow was my longest one. It took me 26% longer to finish it, than previous ones, but gave me 40% more bud, so that is a major improvement.
Still short of my dream weight of 50g :) but that is a goal to achieve by a perfect grow :) have 8 more WW seeds for that :)

Thank you everyone for being around and helping me finish this best (for now) grow of mine :)

:bravo::high-five: that's a beauty right there mr.K, well done and I hope she smokes better than ever....

so have you dropped no8 yet..... Cause you can't leave us hanging.....lol

Thanks Smeegol, will find out how she smokes in a month :)

No, not yet. Too hot and loose polen flying around. :)
Going to work on the filter a bit. Want to improve the filtering qualities a bit, and most important, the air flow, so I could up tbe light output a bit.

Great job Katins! Congrats on the harvest! Its looks tasty already..but i bet in a few weeks to a month she'll be real smooth!
:goodjob:

Thanks Big Sarks! Oh yeah, if she is anything like her older sis, then even virgins shall only cough seldom when smoking her :)

For your next grow shoot for 100 grams it's very doable, great job Katins!

Thanks PW! :)
Well I doubt it is possible.. all I could find was something not much over 50g in a single square foot grow box. Unless you know some secret special technique and don't mind sharing it with me and guiding me through the entire process :)
Hmm.. how cool that would be... 100g.. I could grow only once a year then... but probably still would grow more.. :D
