White Widow Autoflower Grow Journal

So an update......

I am seeing what looks like mold starting to grow on the outside of my smart pots????????

Is it from lack of airflow?
Too much humidity?
Ventilation issues?
.....any help would be appreciated

I am watering at 2 liters per day, humidity has ranged from 91-78%
temp 75-81
pots sitting above runoff. not submerged in the pan.
:thanks:

Sweet! Welcome ck. Pull up a spot for sure. So far so good. Feel free to post.

Are you a cropkinger too?
I've read both are ok. This is my first grow so I'm experimenting all at once lol. Ive already killed one due to setting up scrogg. (R.I.p)
I have one that is not topped but lst only. One that is topped and lst. One that is topped lst and femmed. And my next two will just be grown regular.

I'm hoping to find the best technique and than fine tune my style....

Well, i figured out my mold problem..... Filtration!!!

I'm a serious if I can McGiver something for cheaper I will type of guy so........

What I have here is a homemade carbon filter for less than $10 dollars...
filter210.jpg
filter37.jpg

Yes it looks Crude but works wonders.....

Assembly as follows........

6" round duct coupler (male-male) 6" in length
I sheet heppa filter cut to fit.....
3 Lbs Virgin charcoal.
Super Glue
6" PVC Drain Cap
Duct tape

Both filter and charcoal I found at the pet store, I went to hardware store to find duct tape and duct coupler.

Starting with your ducting, assemble ducting and PVC cap together flush with tape.
Trace Circumference of the duct with sharpy on to heppa filter.
Cut filter to fit.
Strip filter in half so asd not to be so thick.
Lay filter in PVC cap and be sure its a "tight fit"
You will need to layer as follows......

Cap, Filter,Charcoal,Filter,Charcoal,Filter.
(Depending on fan strength you can keep building filter in layers to match fan output.
I only made two layers of charcoal and it dried and desmelled my tent in less than 4 hrs.

In order to secure HEPA filter, i Superglued edges of the filter to inside wall of Ducting.

This really works wonderfully. I don't know if it will keep up during flower, but we'll see.
:420:::thanks:

I feel really good about the Crop King Auto White Widdows. So super easy to grow! I know I cant be doing perfect but by the looks of these ladies, i haven't dropped the ball one time yet. I will post video of them without the led on so we can see the color....

Just some random good info........

Seedlings should be around 50-150 PPM
Unrooted clones to be around 100-350 PPM
small plants to be around 400-800 PPM
large plants to be around 900-1800 PPM
Last week of flowering use plain water.

December 27th 2017

I am still having a little mold on the outside of my pots so
I took my scrogg out. I was having a hard time getting the water out of the pans from the runoff without breaking limbs. And the only thing i could think of would be the little bit of residule water in the pans was letting it stick around.

I moved my humidity down to 55-62 %
temp is a steady 76-78 Degrees F
I noticed the runoff was about half of what I was feeding so I am going to try to feed every other day 1 ltr per feeding and increase my nutrients by one week's schedule.
I am now going to week one bloom on Humbolts Oneness feeding schedule.
5ml per/gal Oneness
5ml per/gal CalMag
2ml per/gal Structural Integrity.
I plan on introducing There honey bloom next week,

Heres them today.......

Hey great set up. Will you transplant for more soil in your pots? A happy root zone encourages vigorous growth and bud sites. Just a thought. Otherwise, your doing great.

You had mentioned transplanting for more growth......

My plants are not as tall as I would like them to be before flowering. any suggestions on how to make them stretch? Im at 26 inches distance from tops to my LED
Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Flowering will make them stretch but u can work on a bigger root zone and stronger stems. Secondary growth. Depends also on trimming. You can trim to invite growth. Fimming and topping. Where you cut that growth will stop. Around it other branches will continue growing. Supper cropping also. Break the extreme stretchers and jist watch it stiffen up.

thankyou for your reply

what ive been doing since seed is, first just like and inch around or so and now im gradualy to filling the whole pot surface. i have them in 3 gal smart pots and after feeding i pull the pots and let them dry a little until next feeding. thats all i know to do. and for stronger stems all i knows to do is put a fan on them. it seems whenever i top or manipulate these autos it stops growing for a week.
if they stood straight up they would be about one foot tall. and i have no clue when these will start flowering. it should be anytime now. the reason why i say thisd is that the concensus says to not manipulate autos as much as possible. So yes im nervous about stunted growth and timelines. Any help there?
