Also for anyone interested, there is a small farm on 109 in Medway about a mile or 2 from 495 exit 19 that sells bags of composted cow manure for $5 a bag. It's real good shit. They're all loaded on a trailer and there's a box you put money in bolted to the trailer. It's honor system and a great deal considering they're between 35 and 50 lbs a bag if I had to guess.

Well I have my tent up 4 x8 x 7,,, ventilation and filter set up.. my lights hanging 2 x hip/mp 1000 watt cool tubes .
did a test run today cant get under 90 degrees or over 35 rh . And its not even hot yet ! 68 degrees
It Looks like a walmart trip in the am for a humidifier and a portable ac unit. I was looking at 1 that is on wheels and vents out the window
10000 btu any thoughts ?

A 10,000btu portable AC unit is effectively about 7000btu after deducting for the horrible inefficiency of rolling portables. You want 6000btu per 1000w light from portables, 4-5000btu/kilowatt for window AC units.
Step one: Don't buy at Walmart.
Step two: Read up on portables. Try Consumer Reports. After that, buy a unit that's highly rated. Portables, especially low end units, are basically junk. Buy a good, powerful unit, (always buy more btu's than you'll think you need, you can always reduce the cooling but you can't exceed rated a unit's rated cooling btu's) a few extra bucks up front will save you money on energy saved & unit lifespan.
Do, if possible, buy an extended warranty. And save receipts, etc. You'll probably use it. Because even good units crap out when you're using them in a grow year round.

Yah what size exhaust fan? May be too small for the space ? I use an 8" blauberg with a 8-6 reducer keeps my 3x3 x7 around 70degrees

6 inch hurricane 435 cfm 1 for intake and 1 for exhaust vented to the window

4x8x7 = 224 ft3
A 435cfm fan replaces that air every 30 seconds.
It moves over 26,000 cubic feet of air per hour.
If your atmospheric charge air is 70°f from an apartment central AC unit, you'd be venting the entire contents of your 1BR apartment out the window every hour, creating a huge drain on your efficiency. If you're using a window AC, you'd come very close to cooking the compressor.
Your best bet is a high quality, 12,000btu (in your case) portable AC unit, exhausted out a window. You can put it outside the tent, & carefully modify the tent (i.e. cut a hole, butt up the blower to it, & create a gasket) that allows the unit to blow the cold air into the tent without taking up valuable floor space.

Looking at a 14000 btu artic king right now
thanks

Hey reel. Plants look good. Autos are funky when it comes to issues like these due to their limited veg stage. I wouldn't defoliate at all during the veg stage. Try tucking some of the bigger fan leaves or some LST. Tieing leaves out of the way or tieing branches out from under the shade of fan leaves is a great alternative to defoliate. Raising those lights will promote some stretching as well. If you still have the desire to get a leaf or two out of the way, just make sure not to cut it u till at least 2-3 weeks into flower. Autos veg and flower stages overlap for about 2-3 weeks and those big leaves are essential for vegetative growth.

Thanks Timhdr,
I appreciate the reply!! That's kinds how I was Leaning.

Hold off on the humidifier, put 3-6-8 pots with 1/2 gallon of water in them and see how it changes. Your plants and the water in their pots will increase the RH. What is the RH outside of your tent?

Lol, I was at HTG in Shrewsbury as well today. Not a bad discount club there so I joined. That cow shit place in Medway rocks, I think it's them or close to them that sells plants and veggies on the same side of the road but really no signage.

Before you spend more look into the discounts, don't quote me but if you get I think 350 points you get a $12.50 credit and you can forfeit the credit for an upgrade to a gold membership that gets you 10% off most things. You can get 100 points for checking in with facebook and 150 points for google and yelp type of reviews......basically without spending any money you can earn that 10% off. My normal place up in Westminster has a program where you spend $1000 and they give you I think $150 in store credit.

I rarely ever pay list prices. Most shops discount caregivers/med cards 10-15% but you have to ask. Typical hardware markup is 70-100% so there's loads of room to "discount" products. Amazon is a great resource, typical savings of 30% on hardware are common.

A good 8000btu wall unit AC will work great, along with a single 400+ cfm intake fan & a few passive vents open for exhaust.
I would prefer to use a window unit of course ,
The tent is 4x8 x7 in a 10 x12 room I am now vented out one window intake and exhaust
So if I use a window unit I would remove the intake duct from the window and put it inside by the ac unit in the other windowi?
