What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Thanks Bb - I’m growing in the kit this cycle so won’t be adding the coconut water. But I do appreciate the input :)

I topped late, partly because it was already really tightly stacked. It’s been that way from the get go.

I’m just curious what stretch to expect bc I’m considering how much longer to veg it for. Thought I’d be flipping a week ago, but wondering about letting it go some more so yeah - was checking in with the seedmaker about genetics and stretch. :thumb:

Hi all....first day I feel like something got done although delayed as normal and completed too late to do other stuff. Still working on connecting with this other guy for a look see and an estimate.

@Amy Gardner ....I wouldn't veg her any longer. 10 weeks should be enough and if you've transplanted she should be flowered soon. She sure looks good.

You can expect her to add on about 130% or more. So if she is 14 inches from soil, she should add at least another 18 inches or so more height. Good luck.

Awesome Magic man! That helps a lot. I have been on the edge of flipping it for a week now and others have been encouraging me to hold off a bit... so I’m holding a fine line ;) I really want to get on with it so this insight from you will help me let her go! :thumb: Thankyou so much for taking the time to respond while you’ve got so much going on! I hope the new mover works out and that your babies are ok at the edge of the forest! :yummy:

:thanks:

Keep breathing Jim. :hugs: Only good lies ahead. :kisstwo:

Amy try adding PURE coconut water to your next watering. Say a cup to 1-2 gallons of water. Coconut water has to be JUST coconut water no sugar no additives (unless aloe) and no preservatives. Can get a baby coconut and do it yourself, we can buy the coconut water ready to go here. Its from the green coconuts that they sell in Asian stores if ya wanna work for the goodness.

Coconut water has a lot of auxins among other goodies. The Auxins help with inter-nodal distances (increases them). I spray it on my plants at least 1x a week and you can water in as well or both. I get lots of stretch ... maybe too much but better for lighting and air movement. I can always tie em down, right?

Looks to me like you trimmed/topped that plant and she never took off after.

BB, I’d never used coco water as a foliar. Doing so will benefit the plant in intermodal spacing? What other benefits might one gain from this foliar?

Haven’t been a fan of foliars for the mess they create in my small-tent world, but my chase for increased yield has me giving them another thought.

I grow hempy now, so I won’t be using it as an additive.

Not sure what "the kit" is but I'm guessing some sort of nutrient thing. I grow organically so everything that's organic is on the table input wise. I wouldn't think it wood be any different in any other soil mix. That said... you cant even foiler - that's how I add the coconut water. I couldn't imagine this would hurt any grow. Prolly can be added to DWC and work great.

What Jim said about stretch but you said this one is 70 days in VEG?? Good lord that's a long time. JK I've done longer! I get itchy to flip at 30 days.

For me, short plants don't make it to the flower room. The taller girls go first. The shorties wait in the wings or I'll add one in to fill an empty spot.

Why I sprout more plants than I know I will flower. I have no problems chopping at the end or VEG plants.. it's acutally easier to chop VEG plants. For me anyway.

Jim, thoughts and prayers your way buddy. Hope you get that rig moved asap so you get your life back on track.

GL buddy

Thanks Bob....I can always use the thoughts and prayers. It seems my pleas for help with this type of contractor must be just normal for them....so I'll rest today. My body and spirit have gotten weak.

I checked on the girls this morning and gave them some water without any nutrients. I was impressed that they were standing tall and didn't look to be damaged by pests. All the cuts had roots through the rock wool so they all got hastily planted in small pots and watered but not watered well.

Hang in there buddy. When you least expect it, a miracle happens. Patience is important and treating people with kindness works best.

You attract more bees with flowers that with cannabis flowers.... wait, I don't know what that means. :passitleft:

I think its more flies with honey than vinegar but I don't think we want any flies. So not sure I'm sure at this point.

Sorry Man, Doc Bud’s High Brix kit. I thought I’d mentioned in another convo with you (in another thread). So yah - it’s self contained :)

 I did! :thumb: in future I plan to run some pure sativas so I won’t veg long at all

Cheers Bb

OK naw I don't know...not sure about kit. Soil does everything I need.
I'm not that good a following instructions either.

Was looking at my kinder-garden report card the other day, my wife found it.
We grew bean plants and of course mine was the only plant that grew up to and past the ceiling. Some things never change. Should a bin a sign for me.

Also on my report was "....but he should be more attentive in listening and following directions."

Everything else was "S" for superman, no wait that was my neighbor whom dove down the steps with his cape. Everything went as planned cept for the landing.

S in my case "was satisfactory". I even got an "S" for keeping my hands to myself. Kinda reminds me of a participation trophy.

I'm better at exploring. :rofl::laugh::rofl:

Lol! I'm with you BB. I truly believe this is why I didn't do well with the kit. I simply refused to follow instructions.

I'm much better at exploring. Lol! BB....I've been blessed to smoke what you grow. Don't change a thing. :hugs:

MJ, you in here?
:peace:

Hahaha! I’m sure he’s around here somewhere Rooster. Mornin’. :hugs:

A bright and joyful mornin’ to you too Jim. :kisstwo: :hugs:

If I remember correctly, the plant that Jim used to make those S1s was very similar to yours. Very tight nodes. Growth Energy is supposed to help with leaf and stem growth. I'm sure you've already been giving it that though.

Hey thanks morglie! That helps - and it is opening up a bit now since flip.

I know right! - I actually wasn’t able to give as much GE as I’d want because my medium is taking so long to dry out - so not getting many waterings in. Over time I’ll get things dialed in with the kit - all in all I’m having a pretty good first run. Have just been pedaling hard to keep up with this super bushy babe! I’ve been able to eat a lot of fresh cannabis as a result tho’! :thumb:

Hey Jim, you’re plants are doing well in their temporary digs it looks like. Not an easy situation for you or them I imagine! Sending best vibes for smooth transition to your new locale.

Oh and I wanted to share this... this is after a Leaf Wash with some oily goodness so she looks all dark and shiny ... and droopy with the weight of water... but her unique-to-this-continent companions should brighten your day (kangaroos are our free lawn care!)

:Namaste:

OH oooohhh, Amy I can see them eyeing up the cannabis, and I think I'm seeing a move in that direction. I'd hurry up out there and rescue, but watch out for the snake and gators and the spiders.... don't need any spiders!

MJ hope your day is going as planed!

My mobile home got moved yesterday. We started on steps today and maybe the electrical, plumbing and HVAC contractors will begin tomorrow as TS Michael will have moved on. Eye will move over us in the next couple of hours.

Girls in the woods look ok. Couple of the cuts may not make it but considering all they’ve been through I have to be impressed.

Awesome mate, great to hear things are on the go... Plants looking healthy Jim, lovely colour...
