What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Morning Jim. :hugs: Lots of topical applied with increasing regularity. Some day I may get the chance to teach you the rudiments of Callanetics and all that pain will diminish precipitously.

You reminded me that I wanted to order Royal Gorilla seeds when my deposit goes in on Wednesday. The daughter has decided that RG and Blue Dream are her favorite meds and the clone is for J.......

Wait! I think my little clone may be big enough by the time he stops to retrieve his plants that I can take a cutting......

Oh Jim, you helped me realize I can save the expense and take a cutting. One cutting and I have the line preserved.

:yahoo::slide::yahoo:

Remember how long it took you guys to get me to clone? Now I can’t seem to stop. Lol! You’ll get great cuts Jim. You always do. I’m not surprised at all hat your soul is performing so wonderfully for you. You have a way with cannabis. One might even hint at a bit of magic going on. :hugs:

Be safe today and keep slathering more topical on. :hugs:

Hey there MJ - sorry about your back and your move. Well maybe the move is a good thing. Sounds like it. Gotta work thru the move, stay healthy. Don't over do, feel tired its a sign to take a break or take a puff or both and call it a day.

Plants look amazing... love your choices for next round. I'm finally back from up north and am about to do my fall seed selection. I'm leaning towards anything Gelato/cookies and some Landrace.

The PAK gear needs something. If its N you're not amending the soil enough between rounds. Add some compost and EWC and some mycos water in. They will come around.

The fish goop is good too. You have any kelp meal ? - soak a 1/2 cup in a mason jar with water and let sit over night... when it settles, pour a cup of the liquid off the top and foiler and water in.

I was gonna correct this, and I thought "No Susan, that still applies here." :battingeyelashes:

Thanks to all of you for positive comments. My back and associated sciatica is much better this morning. Hurricane Florence is so far south of me now I don't expect much more of her unless she turns north. There might be a bit more rain but the greatest risk will be from swollen river flooding. I'll continue to pray for the best. So far just a bunch of wind knocking down leaves, twigs and small branches. 4 inches of rain is the total I've recorded here and we had one tornado watch which expired late yesterday. Electricity flickered twice both times it was back on before I got a lamp lit.

Here are the girls in the tent before I chop their heads off

Taking cuts for Clones

All this prep work for the storm has kept me from the cloning process. I'll try to document the way I do this. I learned this from @Lembatoast, a California grower who was once active here. He used a grocery store produce bag to root the cuts in rock wool but I'll just use a storage container turned upside down so I can house all the cuts together. I've done it both ways with great success. The only one I ever lost was because I transplanted the clone in soil too early. Patience helps.

Supplies: All that I use is a good rooting powder and 1 x 1 inch rock wool cubes and clean water adjusted to 5.5 pH.

I took the cut above the 4th node. Usually a topping is done above the 3rd node but this will be ok.

Your cut should resemble a small tree.

After the final 45 degree cut the bottom of the cut is dusted with more powder and jammed into the cube hole until it bottoms out.

I hope this might help you with your cloning. It's the easiest way to save money on those expensive seeds and it's what someone used to preserve those genetics we enjoy today. :bongrip:

Hi Jim :green_heart:
Looking good and I love the fact that SweetSue has learned how to clone.

Looking good there with the cloning technique. Glad to hear you're not getting hit too hard from Florence. Hope it stays that way.

A lot of rain coming down. 4" is a lot, further south they are calling for "feet" of rain.

Gonna have to give a good word to mother nature. She's in charge. Sometimes we all forget that. She's a little pissed about it I think.

Well wishes and prayers to the folks in harms way. I think it's just getting started. :Namaste:

I decided to eat cup cakes today and tuned out all the tv with Hurricane Florence. Also I fell into a well cured jar of Pineapple Express that was harvested April 25, 2016. Back then I didn't know much and just now noticed the purple stems on one of the plants and green on the second. I vaguely remember that grow and I did notice I had quite a few Jack Herer clones back then. I have jars of that too. :bongrip: Here's a blast from the past:

Pineapple Express Auto x 2 - Indica Dominant. Big Bud x Skunk x Ruderalis THC 22% (Breeder 65 to 70 days)

I decided to harvest the Pineapple Express Autos this morning. It was such a beautiful start to the day outdoors and when I peeked into the tent those two looked so pitiful. Actually, many of the leaves weren't dead, just depleted of color. Anyway, trichs were mostly about 50% clear/cloudy and I didn't see any amber but I'll probably look at that top bud again with the microscope.

Taster buds were quick dried in a 150 F oven and at least I can report that I got whatever terpenes that gives it the fruity pineapple taste. It's certain to improve with dry/cure. I have an elevated RH in the house right now as we got almost 2 inches of rain Saturday. I'll hook up the dehumidifier back there and get the air moving around and near the drying box chamber.

So all is good. My life is in perfect order.

I don't usually use my Iphone for pictures but this morning I wanted to capture the new growth of the girls I beheaded yesterday. Chem 91 x Aliendog Cherry had a nice branch structure already working but she's showing her stuff today. I think she's going to be a super plant if I don't foul it somehow.

All the rest are clicking along and I'll probably clone the Royal Gorilla later today.

I still have to study some more about It's It Punch, the Acai Berry Gelato (It's It cut) x Purple Punch. Purple Punch is Larry OG x Granddaddy Purple. Gelato is Cookies, Sherbet, Pink Panties and all that good stuff. It sounds wonderful to me.

Thanks to all for well wishes. My back is much better today so I'll duplicate my just laying around today and listening to the rain. I am on the edge of the outer rain band of what's left of this storm. I'm not near any rivers so I just park that in the back of my mind and enjoy some herb. :bongrip:

Just dealing with some lingering rain here...nothing special. I took a cut from Royal Gorilla yesterday and broke the stem that I was jamming into the rock wool cube. I think I did the same thing to the Chemdawg. If they don't heal and grow roots it'll be ok as there's plenty of time to take clones plus I have seeds for these two.

I love to see new growth from the topped plants. I'm going to make a kelp meal tea today for their feeding tomorrow. I'll also add some calmag as I see a deficiency. Have a great day folks. :bongrip:
