What brought me here

Hope you had a good day, FEF.
Thanks, Al. I did have a good day. All three seeds that I germinated are above soil and the third one even shed her little seed helmet after a day or so. I hope that you can get some rest, my friend. Some days are longer than others.

:welcome: to :420: FEF :passitleft:...I am so sorry for your loss my friend  and thank you for your service brother :high-five: 22 years a ranger myself :ciao:last post was JBLM just south of Tacoma, Washington...retired and living in Missouri now and loving it :thumb:
Rangers Lead the Way! Thank you, @MochaBud. And thank YOU for YOUR service. I would have loved to been able to wear one of those black berets (back when the black beret meant something). What year did you do Airborne school? I was there in July of '89. Most fun I ever had during my short tenure. Glad the retirement life is suiting you well in MO. Be well, my friend.

Hey. Sorry to hear about your son thats tough. My other half is a teaching assistant at a school but specialises in one to one work with children such as your son. Theres one boy in particular who she has a special bond with, Samuel. Somehow none of the other teachers recognised his autism until my partner joined the school and raised the question immediately. Since they have been inseperable, such uncompromising love. I hope you find what your looking for and the same contentment your son had while examining nature like only the truly open and free minded can.
Thank you, @Bilbobudkin420. Please thank your better other half, for me. It means a lot to me that people, like your partner, recognize that these special children need special handling. Little Samuel is thankful for her, as well. And yes, I too hope to find contentment. And I hope the same for you, my friend.

Beach. Va. into SOG training coordinated with Little Creek...and the rest is classified :thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake: no I'm just joking :rofl::rofl: and my Beret :hmmmm: ...didn't get a chance to wear it much except for ceremonies or on leave/stand down which wasn't too often :snowboating:

NOTE; If you didn't notice I use humor as a defense mechanism for coping as well as my ladies flowers to deal with the memories and nightmares/sweats :straightface: it was fun, it was exiting till...shit got real...but it's an experience I wouldn't change for the world

Yep. When you're young, "Gettin' in the shit" sounds like fun. All have the "Shit" on their brain for the rest of their lives.

Yeah, that was the politically correct version. And wanting to wear the black beret just means that I wasn't willing to go through the sacrifice to earn it, like you and your Dad did. And in full disclosure, although I appreciate people thanking me for my service, it never feels right to me. Because I didn't do anything. Of course they don't know that, but still... And yes, I would have done something if I was needed, but nonetheless, I do appreciate the kindness of others.

Very touching story and sorry for your loss.Brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for you service. Can't wait to see your plants with the love you show for your son your girls will be beautiful. Times are changing when it comes to cannabis will be a fun ride. Thanks for sharing your story!

I hear ya brother, if I knew then what I know now, I would have chosen a different path. And I try to think of it as they're thanking me for my patriotism, instead of what I actually did. Peace brother, I got too serious and I need to smoke :lot-o-toke::lot-o-toke::lot-o-toke:

Thank you for the kind words, @Rucifer999. I appreciate that you took the time to read it and even more, to share a comment. We'll be seeing each other around, I'm sure.

Hey FEF, i'm a bit late to the welcoming - but welcome to 420Mag! :ganjamon: i see you've met loads of the awesome crew around here.
I'm touched by your story - your son was a champion and i'm happy he could bring so much job to your life. It takes a strong person and family to head in the right direction after losing a child, i can't begin to imagine how difficult it was.
You've landed up in a great space, and i'm looking forward to crossing paths with you here on 420mag :thumb:
I'll head over to your grow journal and take a look.
See you around!

Thank you, @irie lion. Without this site and members like you, I don't know that I would have ever attempted growing. You, and so many others on this site, are so willing to help out us new growers that it makes us feel that we can actually pull this off. Thank you for your time, my friend, and I look forward to seeing you down the road.
