If its a hermie trait, then yes.
if there is a genetic mutation or syndrome that causes for that male to produce only y chromosome as the op suggests, backcrossing will stabilize that for sure and the progeny will be more likely to carry that trait is what i meant. If it’s herm i guess it’ll carry that too. But hermies are different than genetic males.
I got a couple of hermies from fem seeds but it may be different with reg females i don’t know (is it possible for a reg to hermie? never grown them). Anyway, you can easily tell if it’s a true male or hermie with feminised seeds from the morphology of the flowers. Sacks are buried in flowers usually and they burst out little bananas. In very extreme cases there are numerous pollen sacks covering the flowers. Disgusting. That’s plant jizz hahah
