WestHippie’s 420 OG Hydro 1000 Watt MH/HPS

so I moved the time back 4 hours. Light out at lunch , don’t know what this will do . Went from 4 am to4 pm - 12 am to 12 pm .
As long as they got 12 hours of dark that day it doesn't matter how much light they got. Not sure from your description but it sounds like they got only 8 hours of light the day you made the change, and that's fine. It's probably fine either way, but that's the way to change them ideally.

Damn West, your plants are growing like crazy! :meatballs::bravo::yummy::headbanger::bongrip:

No , it was 8 hours dark then 12 hours of light .
Hopefully okay . It had about 3 hours of major heat at the end of the day . 94 degrees

Day 27 of 12/12 21 days of pistols
Outside temp 72 humidity 63% N 17 mph
Building temp 71.1 humidity 61%
Tent temp 74.4 humidity 65%
Canopy temp 77.3 lux 71-72k
Jumped an 1-1/2 “ or it stood up from where I bent them ?
Water temp 69 down 2+ gallons Falling
TDS 699 ppm was 723 ppm Falling
Ph 5.7 actually 5.74 I call this static if it didn’t pass the 5.75 and I recorded 5.7 . Constant rise , needs to get its butt to 5.9 I see mg and p deficiencys on the left and back girls. This one front right nothing phases it , dark green shiny leaves except for the heat ! Forgot again to add 30 mL of magical doing it now !

Need to bring 2&3 down !
Light was 19” above the canopy moved to 24 “
Added 1 mL acid to 2&3 , put one in the spare bucket then one hung between two buckets while it mixes.
3-5/8” from the top of the five gallon bucket is 4 gallons! Pic

It takes days of the same to change the photo period. This is no different than a multi-hour brown out. You need to figure out the hottest time of yur days, then calculate 6 hours before and after to know the best lights on hours.

I may have to move back two more hours for the perfect numbers on the heat . We have a north wind that brought us down 10 degrees. Thanks Skybound

TDS 1066 ppm Rising
Ph 5.6 Static
Says plant is Leeching raise ec . There was some slime where the roots are in the air ! Phed four gallons of ro water to 6.0 . Cleaned the roots to see if this solves the problem!

Ph 5.87 Static
Leech is here too ! Clean slime off open air roots
B-3
Water temp 69.4 down 1/2”

Easier to clean but it was on there (slime)
Don’t know why b-1&b-3 grew 2” last night .
Even b-2 grew with this problem!
Did I Fix This The Right Way By flushing and cleaning in a different bucket ? ? ?

The roots naturally secrete exudates so this will be an ongoing problem. There's a good thread on RIU called "DWC Root Slime" that gets into this. Back when I started growing, I did a run in aero and was using H2O2 as a sterile reservoir, yet still contracted pythium. Living root zone is the way to go IMO. Ever since then, I've religiously used compost teas to always ensure that my root zone is always being updated with fresh colonies of beneficial bacteria and fungi to eat those exudates and other bad shit like pythium.

I'm definitely not a DWC grower, but if you have slime on the roots, new water and a clean bucket won't fix it. The roots themselves need to be cleaned, either by adding H2O2 or an enzyme root cleaner (Z7 or the like) to the res water.
You know me PW got me started on Z7 , I put it and hydro guard in ! I knew like the cloner I would have to have it in dwc . I took a clean bucket of phed water , no H2O2 but they cleaned off nicely in the clean bucket . I also added more Z7 , I have sensizym that is a root cleaner . I have more than I need for the tent! Finally sold some Sudan so I can buy more nutrients. Half the order of what I order last time for the nutrients is $596 sucks !

This is my first dwc , hadn’t even told the neighbor. He does dwc and like you he makes his own nutrients. Z7 is the only thing he doesn’t make ! I put URB organics in the dwc . Do you mix nutrients with the bubbles or a mixing pump?

I used to use a paddle mixer I printed, but now I don't even go through that, I just fill a half gallon jug with RO, dump about 12-20 oz into a cup, dump the salts in, with some water from the cup I clean the cup(s) that had the weighed salts in, but get it all into the jug, screw on the cap and shake the jug till the salts dissolve. Then top up the jug with the RO and it's now a concentrate to use for 6-8 weeks or whatever it takes me. Rinse and repeat.

If DWC gets to be too hard to work with, consider potted rockwool or coco even, but I use RW cubes. I do not aerate my res and recirculate the nutes for a week. Being in potted media exposes a shit load more O2 to the roots from the air, so there's a lot less chance you'll encounter a slime outbreak, but even more so if using beneficial bacteria via micro/compost tea inoculation. DWC is awesome, but it's also extremely fussy and one mistake can cost you your grow.

I think I need to go to Home Depot, get more buckets then go to wallyworld and get a reservoir and build a rdwc . That will simplify the citation. InTheShed set me straight on the air in the reservoir, ph is solid no up and down . I bought a circulation pump that runs 24/7 . Also have a mixing pump, and when I say mix it churns !

That's a much better course of action (RDWC). You have a remote res for making res chaninging easy while also adding O2 with the churning water. BTW, is your powerful pump in the water or inline? If in the water, I suspect you'll encounter problems with warm water.

The reservoir in the tent is chilled .
The eco 250 is in the reservoir as a mixing pump and runs only if I make an add .
The circulation pump is an open fan that moves it slowly, looking it’s hard to tell I have to put my hand in to feel if it’s working! Won’t ever let it get far past 70 degrees.
