West Coast Diesel: First Grow Journal - Would Love Some Insight

I'm impressed with the one big bushy pheno, holly she gonna be huge bro; she probably drinks and eats more than the others.
Yea fed it 10 gallon others 5 gallon in the 65 gallon pots might been to much but well see didnt look at the weather for the next few days which was a brain fart but it happens

Feeding wise she is in ocean forest so dont have to feed for another 3 weeks and might not have to feed her any veg nutrients and go straight to bloom

Holly smokes dude, that’s lots never seen anyone grow that big of a pot. I just put two of mine in 30 gals and its huge for me cant imagine double or triple that.

Cant wait to see them flower, massive haul for sure.

Yea the peanutbutter haze (big one) is in a 100 gallon and the rest are in 65 gallon

Morning fellow 420ers hope everyone is having a good weekend. Looking like rain for the whole weekend, which i was nervous for with the amount of watering i did this week.

All the plants have perked right back up and look to be growing a few inches every 12 hours which is great to see. Going to get my cages today and will be able to start doing some LST on them in the next couple days.

Will also next watering will start feeding the 2 west coast diesels that dont have ocean forest as their medium there base nutrients.

Also wondering if its to late to top should have done it couple weeks ago but slipped my mind

Good afternoon everyone hope everyone has had a good weekend. Have had a pretty sunny morning so far. A good amount of rain yesterday and the plants look to be loving the weather still. Was little worried that I watered to much before all this rain and the pots seem to be drying very well. Still good amount of moisture at the bottom of the pots but the top is drying off well. Looks to be more rain for the week which shouldnt be a problem.

The west coast diesels are pulling through very nicely and growing a couple inches every day for past few days. Almost out grown their tomato cages.

Still dont know if its to late to do some toppings if anyone has any guidance that would be great.

Looking amazing bro nice 👌🏽 really enjoying the few outdoor grows I'm following there really taking off!

It's never to late to top really unless you know it's close to end of season.. the only thing i could say about topping later is the main stem supporting tow of them.. earlier on means it's lower down and more stronger and supported better. The higher up you top it might need some support later on.

I'm not outdoor grower but that's how I would see it 👍🏽

Oh thinking about it.. what is the node structure like? Are the nodes growing even or staggered? From what I read online and some info off of shed topping a plant with staggered nodes can be counter productive but it's something I'll be testing out towards the end of the year 👍🏽
Staggered nodes wont give you two main stems but I still want to see if it accelerates lateral growth.

That definitely something to think about when deciding if i think its worth it.

Im hoping for when topping it will promote more canopy growth rather than straight up like a tree

Topped one of the west coasts used the pinch method curious if i topped it enough to create a second node.

Please feel free to let me know if i didnt do it correctly lol

I have only done one and that is what I did just pinched off the top. It took a little time to get going but once it did it grew like crazy.

Morning everyone looks like its going to be still mostly a rainy couple of days starting the week off.

The topped west coast looks about the same will be interesting to see how the topping work’s compared to the other west coast diesels.

Once the rain stops this week and the pots dry out enough im going to start feeding the 2 west coast diesels that dont have FFOF as the medium for the remainder of the veg, the other 2 with FFOF have about 2-3 weeks before needing amendments.
