Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

I'm really looking forward to your CS project!

I plan on doing the same as soon as I get some new strains in. You should checkout the Bonsai Sultan Method in my signature. I think you'll find it very interesting with what you're doing, although, it calls for natural males for the breeding.

I'll be sure to check it out. All things breeding I'm reading a ton of right now. :thanks:

you have the right idea nis , if you need to storw pollen ,mix the pollen 50/50 with flour and at least tripple baggie and put in the freezer .

you prob know this too ,if you pollinate a photo fem with your auto pollen you will get autos.

man i am dabbed the f up haha, peace

Thanks photos. I didn't know about the flour so that's good to know.

And yes the plan here was to breed the DDA with the carnival to make the carnival an auto. Now from what I understand is that it won't be a completely stable strain so we have to self pollinate itself to keep the characteristics we want. :thumb:

I've always wondered that. I figured it would eventually get out. I think what Sue said above has some bearing also.

In all my research until now has told me (and a lil experience) that any temp over 212 f starts to degrade thc I've a ratio to time and decrease somewhere I'm gonna look but it's like 2%thc is lost every 10 minutes at 300f that's why when cooking with cannabutter they always say to cook longer at lower temps. I personally do a lot of rice Krispy treats for this reason they don't require cooking only melting of mm and the cannabutter keeping full toxicity. Just my penny.

This is where I get confused. Im under the impression that it takes multiple breeding of the same dominant strain female with multiple characteristics from multiple male strains keeping only the plants with the strong traits your looking for. To then re breed to your dominant female. I've an uncle who's had his own strain for longer than I can remember 20+ years and he says it took 2 years of cross pollinating and picking out the traits he wanted etc. before he came up with his "Green County Green" that's what he told me. But also he was doing all of this before auto or feminised seeds came to fruition so it's totally possible that his work for the most part could be worthless now at least in the auto photo cross pollination but food for thought at least. I hope it all works out I'm gonna be here watching .️

We will get the initial cross that is for sure then after that it will take a while to get everything trait wise that he want. But the difficult part will be since it is an auto we won't be able to clone it. So we will see how this pans out.

This is the first time we have done this so it will take a ton of research and experience to get everything perfect. If anyone has any suggestions or advice throw it out there. I'll be the first to admit that we don't know everything, so if you have questions or experience, I ask you to bring it up. :thanks: :passitleft:

Morning Nis and Canna! Hope you both had a wonderful 710 day, thankfully it was a sunday and not during the week! lol I love all the new pictures, I can certainly notice the difference over here. Being able to get rid of the colorful hues from the led's makes a huge difference on being able to see the natural colors better :) Great job.

This breeding adventure keeps getting more and more interesting as I read about it. I may have to dabble into breeding some day myself and see what I can make haha. I would definitely be interested in trying out this new carnival auto you will be making, these 2 plants bred together will make an awesome plant! Keep up the great work you 2, many people are learning from you every day!

We won't be full on breeding all of the time but will be making seeds all of the time. With the strains we currently have, our goal is to never have to buy them again. It only makes sense to me that a $20 worth of supplies (plus space, a tent, a light, etc) can make thousands of seeds. We hope to get a couple hundred seeds from this adventure with the carnival, fruit punch, and hopefully more DDA seeds. Everything will be crossed with the DDA and be an auto. Not all of them right away will be an auto I have read since not all traits will be passed down but we will pop a dozen seeds, find the autos and hit them with the CS again so we keep the auto traits. It would also be awesome to keep the purple pheno from the DDA because who doesn't like purple bud? Great bowl appeal and when you grind it up...the colors look amazing. If anyone hasn't had the opportunity to enjoy this experience of purple, I recommend it. :thumb:

Sounds great really. I have learned quite a bit about the subject just from your journal recently as well what I have picked up previously from other readings, it will be something I try here eventually once I get a bit of a stock going. It's really interesting how we can choose which traits we want when it comes to colors, tastes, looks etc., and slowly breed them out of a plant.

I have really been looking at some of these dark and colored strains lately. I didn't choose any of them with my free seeds from the Crop King journal contest but they do have a couple like the black indica and dark angel that I may pick this time around from the 710 dab contest winnings. Still can't believe I won 2 contests, I never win anything!! Lol Guess it's time to go pick out some more, maybe 1 more auto strain and 2 photoperiod strains :)

I loved this quote from that thread:

1) Potency/high

This is the single most important factor of any breeding program. There is only one real reason we grow this plant: That is for the effect it gives us when we smoke/consume it. Lets not put the horse before the cart. It doesn't matter how heavy it is, how dense it is, how much it stinks, if it doesn't get you high its worthless. Every person has their own unique idea of what the ideal bud should smoke like, so as breeders we are all going to have at least slightly different ideals regarding what exactly constitutes the perfect high. As a breeder your first and foremost goal should be getting as close to this personal ideal as you possibly can. Of course flavor and aroma fit into this category as well, but are lesser components.

:high-five:

Canna let me pick two of the ones we won and black indica was one of them chosen. The dark angel we already have. I can see some new CKS strains being dropped here pretty soon. :thumb:

Sweet, sounds like fun then. I actually didn't go with either of the black indica or the dark angel haha Now I will be able to watch you and canna grow these 2 though and maybe pick them at a later time. I looked very closely at all of the feminized seeds in regards to color as well as the thc, cbd and cbn percentages. For color I actually decided on the purple kush which mainly has high thc. My others were hash plant and cbdream. It will make for quite the variety I think since I will have both high cbd strains along with the hash plant being more balanced and purple kush being high thc. Will be a fun adventure after vacation :)

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

For those of you who don't know, my picture won the Crop Kings 710 contest. We get to chose 4 strains of 5 seeds each. I believe they also are throwing in a shirt, a vape pen, some dab containers, a pouch, a couple mats, papers, and CKS logo pins. That was a fun competition. Let me see if I can round up my photo.

Pretty stoked for being under the weather. Have a great day guys!

Oh, the strains we picked are
Early Vixen
Black indica
Amnesia Haze Auto
Northern Lights Auto

Heres a link to the contest.

Is there a reason why you went with the CB Dream and and not the Dutch treat? Dream is a indica dominant I believe and a 1:1 ratio the Dutch treat is sativa dominant and 2:1.

The purple kush is a high THC and we can attest to that lol. I have also considered the hash plant. .maybe in the future.

yes you can keep going till you arrive at a place where you feel thats the plant you want , also phenotypicaly the better you go about ut the less difference in the phenos.
ive had to make a strain just to cross with a known strain then cross that with another known strain then cross back to my strain to get what i wanted , the fun really starts when your popping 500 seeds at a time to pick that one pheno then you find 3 hahaha ,mind knows that 1 is perfect for the current project and mind wont stop randomly putting together and mind breeding other combos with the new 2 promising phenos , nec minute you got bloody hundreds of ideas and plants and even your kids think youve finally gone nuts !

love it ,lots of stress thinking sometimes but hey we all got enough goodness to cure that !

I actually picked the Dutch Treat when I placed in the journal contest, so I decided to pick the Dream to go along with it from the dab contest.

I will now have CBDream, CBDutch Treat, Hash Plant, Purple Kush for photoperiod plants. For the auto's I will have Revolver and Trainwreck along with the 2 strains I still have beans left from, Candy Cane and Amnesia Haze.

I was on the fence with the hash plant. Maybe the next CKS order will contain that, eh?

Sounds like quite the collection! From CKS we will now have dark angel, purple kush, super silver haze, black indica, early vixen, crown royale, and white cookies, CBDUTCH treat for the photos and early miss, Northern lights, and amnesia haze for the autos.

We will have to do an all CKS grow and make a journal for it if they have another journal contest going. Oh the possibilities...:passitleft:
