Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

I have a hard time discerning smells a lot of the time but I can categorize it and can recall other strains that have smelt similar and the Akorn Smells a lot like the Chem D I grew out one year. I do prefer fruity strains but I also love the Diesel family of cannabis. Sour Diesel in particular. There is just something about gas and citrus that just draws me in :laughtwo:

i no what you mean yeti I'm not good at that either i do no what i like when i taste it lol last year i grew a nirvana ice and it was straight fuel i loved it wished i had more i did two more this year and they were nothing like the first one in taste and high!:smokin2:

Tonight I bring you some pictures of a few of the ladies in flower. Today is day 39 of 12/12 and they got 4 gallons water, 1.5 oz GE, and 2 ml tea.

Edit - the smaller pots received the same ratio as the bigger pots. 12 gallons of water total used today.

Chemdawg #4

We've had some great conversation the last few days about genetics and it has caused me to purchase more seeds...well at least that's what I tell myself even though they were bought a week ago lol. Yesterday we received some Skywalker kush and master orange (master kush x agent Orange).

Have a great night everyone. Go Cubs!

:passitleft:
I got some more seeds as well. From a small time hobby breeder on IG called Warden Genetics. His flagship is called Game Warden, he backcrossed it 3 times and it brought out a super citrus Sprite smell. He then crossed it with original Northern Lights. The strain is called Northern Sprite and it's the real deal. 15 regs for 50 was a no brainier for me.

Northern Spriiiittteee

You should be growing Chemdawg 91 or Chem #4

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Our Tut tested out at 21% and is quite tasty and has semi loads of resin. We did a run of bubble hash and have squished both hash and flower in the rosin press. It is tasty all around and a decent yielder at that. We got ours through gorilla seeds but the breeder is pyramid seeds if you want to look state side.
Our Kosher Kush (thanks Duggs) was straight fire. The trichs were very decent, and the high made me drool slightly, with a side order of sleepiness. Lol!!!

I never have problems with that but I think I only have like 16 in total to look after
Sounds like you have more than us currently. Lol!! Tbh, I did forget we have a Chemdog growing. Lol! I think I pay more attention to what we have going that I like. We had some street Chemdog before we started growing that wasn't tasty for me. I know ours will out perform that street crap any day! So, maybe I should get excited about that one. Lol!

Ever since the bugs came, I have lost my mojo for the plants. I can't get myself to do much in there. Soon though they will be slain and I can find my happy spot in the garden again.

That is why I try to clone everything. You never know if you will get the pheno you like again.

I have seeds of a cross with Chem 91 in it I believe but I have yet to run them. I have a sour kush right now that is fulfilling my needs for gas, plus as mentioned the Akorn really reminds me of Chem D. I also have two Huck Diesel's in veg. I hope at least one is female and have hopes of it being an East coast Sour Diesel leaning pheno. The only seeds I have plans of buying right now are Dynasty's Star Duster when they get released which is another ECSD cross but this time with Ms U.

If you're looking for something that is straight gas, check out OGKB v2 by in house genetics as well as the hybrids they make with that OGKB they're all frosty, like super duper frosty.

I will look into them. i am more so trying to find ECSD in seed form really. It is a favorite of the wife and while we had someone we could buy flowers from at one point that connection is no longer there and growing my own I feel no need to buy product from anyone. I would buy a clone if I could find a real one but it is held tight by anyone that has it around here and I am sure the price of a cut would reflect that.

Yah I don't know where to get ECSD in seed form. In my experience, that strain was just meh overall. Is it the lemon diesel taste that she likes? There's plenty of other strains that smell like that

The ECSD was anything but meh around here. Between smell and taste alone it was a stand out. Add to that the effect and it was a winner. You open your jar and your neighbor would pop their head over trying to get in on it :laughtwo: It has the most expansive smoke I have ever come across. Baby hits were almost too big at times. As soon as you exhaled your first hit it was straight Euphoria for hours. The happiest most up beat high I have come across. A real mood elevator in the purest sense. Other Sour Diesels have some of these attributes along with some of the crosses but none that I have come across have had it all. So it is not just taste and smell we are looking for it is the whole package.

It is funny that there is such a divide on how people feel about the Diesel or Kush strains. i have a buddy that lived in Cali for a while and was all about the OG family. If it had OG in it he wanted it. While he loved Og he hates Diesel strains. Where I am I have seen some ok OG strains but nothing that stands out. The Diesel strains I have seen though always seem to outshine them. I have had OG straight from Cali that was only decent. I have had OG from around here that was awful. I am yet to come across one that makes me think "this is why it is an elite strain". I see pictures of awesome OG cuts and see people love them and I wont knock them, but give me some ECSD any day over an OG.

I will correct myself and say that I grew out a Kandy Kush from Reserva Privada, which is OG Kush x Trainwreck, and it was fantastic. One of the best things I have ever grown. I think it may give me a glimpse of why OG is so sought after. The Sour Kush I have from RP is real nice and resembles the ECSD more than any strain I have run. I just have not come across a straight OG Kush that is as good as they say. i think a lot of it has to do with not knowing the right people and not having access to the legit clone only.

I was under the impression that OG strains were like the diesel strains because they all smell like gas

Rumor has it that they both stem from ChemDawg, but others refute this. None of the OG I have gotten has been gassy. They have been chemmy to a point but more earthy/floral. I could have just been given something else entirely and just told it was OG, who knows? That is the issue with buying stuff without knowing who grows it or where they sourced it from. I am sure a legit OG cut is fantastic. It is too popular to not be good at the very least. I am sure what a lot of breeders offer is either something they were passed and told it was OG or they tried to recreate it and did not do it right. There seems to be a lot of this that happens.

The OG kush we grew tasted earthy and floral as well. No fuel to it at all. Nothing special in my mind but I guess I had my hopes a little high. We have some HSO sour diesel that I picked up from gorilla for motm. I'm actually excited about that one a bit more now.

I have not tried HSO's Sour D. I hope it turns out real well for you Nis!
