Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Hey Nis hope your day is going great, Got a question for you about those autos we were discussing. 3 of them are above soil 2 and 3 days, and outdoors and the humid dome is off of one. It is 30 degrees Celsius here today and I am keeping the moist but tomorrow and tomorrow night it is going to rain so should I cover them with the dome again during the rain so the don't get over watered? They are very tine and just starting the get their first real leaf...help?:thankyou:

Honestly I would feel compelled to cover them. We have never grown outside but until the get a decent root system it makes it very easy to over water.

Do you think using one of these domes will protect it enough as the container it is in is quite a size.

You can see one of the domes on an earlier plant in this pic it is about 6 inches across.
If you can secure it on there so that it doesn't blow off in the wind then you should be fine. Don't leave it on there too long if it isn't raining. You should be just fine bud. :thumb:

Thanks buckshot, Just grew one strain last year...boring. This year 7 or 8 strains. Duggan and Nis this is a pic of the Tangerine Dream Auto and another auto under one of the domes I will be using for when it rains so the little ladies don't drown.

I hope my other Tangerine Dream Auto makes it, the taproot might have been 1/4 of an inch at most but wouldn't go any further so I put her in moist soil under a dome and hope for the best. The others are 1.2 and 3 days old but no sign of her yet.

What Nis said about the wind,..be careful, have a look at them once and a while, if it's really storming. They definitely need the protection, or they'll get washed away. Next time you germ some seeds , as soon as you see a 'split' in the shell, plant it, do not wait for the lil root to come out OK. All that is very valuable , wasted energy. Growers must realize this and not wait , and watch the root shoot out all the way...bad , bad , bad .
Anyhow they will make it. Cheers eh!

Thanks Duggan, is that for all seeds or just autos? That's the way I have always done it, so does that method you suggested work better?

Yes, it does work better, and treat all seeds the same. All the energy it has, and it ain't much, has to go into securing it's lil tap root. If you let it grow out on the plate, watching it, all that energy is gone. You must think about it this way ,...during the time that root is coming out , it's normally fighting the surface, trying to break out . Cheers Cannanewb, have a great night.

Just now reading this after "discarding" a cracked Blueberry bean that spit the tap root out, but didn't continue any more, as the other bean continued to progress. I just stuck it in a pot outside next to a pepper plant, so maybe she'll surprise me and sprout up!

I'm so excited, your Tut looks just amazing. And the BD will make some seriously loooooooong colas. That area is dialed in Nis and Can! Or is it CannaNis? Lmao. I think Tut is pretty much one of the very best seeds you can get outside of the US natives. It is strong as hell, smelly as hell, and a vigorous strain.

CannaNis love it Shiggity....:high-five:
