Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Hey Duggan that era rocked my all time favorite was Archie Bunker....classic. I have the complete Sanford and Son series, getting All in the Family next. Can't beat that good old stuff.

Ya, lets talk about that a min....those good ol shows ,..they not allowed to say all those thing now,.... We(Dad had control) used to watch
Archie, Sanford, Mash (three times a day , cuz he was a Korean vet). How bout our fav. for a while....The Dean Martin Roast. That's the first time i can remember falling down , from laughing so hard....Sad to hear Don Rickles pass , this past week, he was a fav. too.
So many good ol shows back then ...and great movies. Lots to say ...this is one of my things...i like to remember those shows. Times were different...much different!Cheers to ya Cnewb:)

That good old stuff really could make you laugh, and you are right, everything has to be politically correct now or so many get offended. Could you imagine the backlash if some of Archie Bunker's lines was on television nowadays? It's too bad you know, back in the day we had enough common sense to know that is was meant to be all in fun. Now a days the snowflakes would be out protesting that stuff. I still watch Mash, one of my favorites. Say thanks to your Dad for me for his service. I have nothing but respect for all the veterans. The father of my lead guitarist in my band just passed away last week and he was a D-Day veteran.

What a nice chat Cnewb...cheers to ya my friend!:):high-five::Namaste:

I just gave my little DC in the solo cup it's 1st CAT too. I might get a joint or 2 off it lol. It smells sooooo F'n good though.
With the auto seeds that we get from this run I am thinking about back crossing with the DDA to seal the deal on the purple and the auto. The smell is quite amazing and the high is even better. Energetic happy weed lol.

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

So this afternoon I tinkered around with the control panel we will be using for the up and coming COBs that will be purchased this week. Just need to finalize the plan for what spectrum (was thinking 6 3000k, 6 3500k, 4 4000k.) This will fill the gaps that the lights on movers have so we get total light coverage over the troughs.

Right now we only need 4 drivers so we have 4 LCD screens to show us what each driver is doing. Everything is 14 awg inside the panel and the cords are 16 awg. Good for 10 amps each which We won't be going over. We have 4 potentiometers to adjust the wattage of the cobs as well.

The potentiometers are soldered to some 2 pin aviation connectors and will run to the drivers for dimming. Used 18-2 wire since it is low voltage and can handle it.

420-magazine-mobile1281087509.jpg

AC power in from the wall with green switches that are only on when the power is on. They have a 10 amp fuse inside each switch. Each switch will power 2 drivers.

420-magazine-mobile716900303.jpg

For power out of the box to the drivers we have some more c13/c14 plugs. I put 9 of them on there since this box will be able to run 9 drivers at once. Will have to get another AC power switch though.

Here we are all powered up and ready to go!

The reasoning behind this box is to be able to remotely mount it and have the install be clean. It's DIY but want it to look professional. I need to do a few more final touches to be finished but I have a good start on it.

Everyone have a good night! :passitleft:

Wow Nis, I am impressed with your DIY skills! That looks like a fantastic set up. When do you have time to sleep?
:goodjob::high-five:
Thanks neiko. I am quite happy with it so far. There are a couple cuts that the dremel decided to cut a little big but it'll be jut fine. I just can't wait to blast up to an additional 1000 watts on the ladies.
Ya eh Neiko...he prolly welds in his sleep!...
I don't think I could while I sleep but I can with my eyes closed!

Check out this hash plant...she decided to stand right back up for us. Nice tight nodes! Let her go up a few inches and then it's time to flip. The resin will be unreal with this one we are hoping. 12% thc but 4% cbd so it will be a well rounded strain that'll have to be tested.

Have a great Monday guys and gals.

Mornin Nis, she has a nice shape to her. Good training bud...:thumb:....:high-five:

The thing about it is that this was the first real training session. Topped it twice and she did all of the work herself. Just had to help her out and spread out the branches a bit. Gotta love it when a plant knows your plan and co-operates without a struggle. Some strains just hate it when you mess with them. :laughtwo:

The box really isn't necessary but it cleans it up quite a bit and makes it a easier to manage everything. Let me tell you though, it was a good feeling when it was plugged in and switched on and the LCD screens lit up. Just a matter of time until we are blasting the girls with more light than the sun can at the equator lol.

Hi Nismo12,

Reps to ya on the panel build. Looks like you've taken lessons from fanleaf. Yeah, it's a good feeling to turn on power and things work like they're supposed to!

Your canopy looks awesome on the grow in the diy planter on wheels. So many interesting projects going on 420 magazine.

Fanleaf has an awesome build and I basically used his design as a blueprint. My only issue with it was the 12mm 2 pin aviation plugs as they were a PITA to solder. I would love to have his 42 cob array though...that is just incredible!

Hell, I can hardly wire up my control box,, and it's a basic 4 way.. Looks like a nice tight job.. So you are going with COB completely? The little I seen of them, looks like they give pretty decent penetration. Keepem Green

Man I can't believe how much you guys are doing, I swear I can remember when you guys started this thread, now it's like 381 pages! Rock stars!

I feel like I'm always way behind when I come in though. What the heck are COBs? Got me thinking of corn.

COBs or Chip On Board = badass LED lol. They put of more PAR, less heat, use less electricity (to get the same results)than blurple LEDs and HPS. Our amare has 6 cobs in it and increases a ton of light.

I don't know if we are going to go completely COBs but we will see. Right now we are still going to have ourlights on movers but the COBs are going to pick up the eges. No dead zones.

The fact that you can run them at low wattage and close to the canopy is a big seller for me. Especially when you see people getting 1.5 - 2 gpw. The only bad thing about this is the upfront cost to buy everything but the savings will be there right way. I say we will have up to 1000 watts of LED but we will probably only use half of that since we won't have to turn it up. Low and slow.
