Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

For the time being I am thoroughly studying the "how to" thread, Docs Q&A, and a bunch of journals that seem relevant to my needs (brix and LED.)

I will probably start a journal for help once I'm ready to germinate. I got a 5 pack of Blue Mystic with a free single Blueberry from True North, and they what to live.

Morning Nis , Canna and friends. hey Seedling, top of the mornin to ya :). Would like to offer up a big warm welcome to the 'Mag' , and especially this Hb neighborhood you've dropped into. Nis and Canna's journal is a fantastic place to start! Most of the growers around these parts are growing in soil and most of those are using Doc Buds High Brix Kit, or DBHBB. The growers here are all open minded and will help you at every chance to succeed . They , as people you will soon find out are full of integrity and resolve. Please feel free to browse our journals and get a 'feel' for our group. We only ask a couple things of new members ....please enter our journals with a smile and good attitude while leaving any ego you might have 'at the door' OK,...do these lil things and we promise you, ya won't wanna leave. As far as Doc's gear goes,..it's the shiz ...and the faster you can get a 'kit' from Doc the better for you. Get some soil cooking and join the 'HB gang' Seedling. Cheers to ya , and once again welcome to the 'mag'!:welcome::bravo::cheertwo::high-five::circle-of-love:

I could continue to use as greenhouse and would rather, I just luv the free sun but have major heat issues with these next months coming. I live in Palm springs California with our climate its really tuff to stay cool. These past two weeks the weather changed to 90-95 degrees. gone down to about 80-85 since Sunday but next month I will have days in the 100's. Not worried about neighbors its pretty well secluded on the side of my house. I have the fans and timers.. still need the lights and wish I had more money(LOL). I believe I can control the environment with the window A/C. right now I have 4 newbies just planted from seed and the greenhouse stays 76-78 with a controller. I grow in pots not the ground. The greenhouse has a 12"x12"concrete paver floor. Yah I have a budget of around $800 but I can go a lil over if need be. I Have some pics if you need to see the confusing set up I have. I also have some pics of a grow I started in November and harvested the last week of February which I did under the sun. I also washed my plants for the first time and man that was something I will always do. These pics will only be from my second harvest ever which was this last Febuary 2017.

Hello seedlingmtl! Welcome to the 420Mag family! You are in the right place to observe the proper soil and LEDs in action!
Depending on your budget, space you basic electronics skills you can also check growmau5 on youtube. You will find a ton and more of information about DIY LEDs and growing with them in general. How to get closer to 2 grams per Watt of used electricity. Prepare for hours of studying :) Well worth it. It got me into building my own light.
The high brix is kinda self explanatory, haha. One look and you are hooked. One puff, it's real, no bluff. I do not grow in Doc's soil (Yet), because I'm super cheap fella, but I got mine Living Organic Soil (LOS) and it is mile ahead of the nugs in bottles and dirt method. And quite a low maintenance. I can imagine the kit being even better!
Have fun! :Namaste:
I'm gonna be checking out that youtube channel for sure. For now I want to keep it simple and really try and use proven methods before experimenting with diy projects. I'm a machinist by trade with over 15 years experience and access to a full 5-axis CNC shop, so in the future I may do some fun stuff.

My budget is flexible as I'm collecting everything one item at a time. I'm probably gonna start a journal sooner than later to help me build a reliable setup without going over board. I'm exercising patience and hoping it pays off as it usually does. :)

That all sounds like fair game. I've skimmed through a few of your completed journals already and following along on your current one as well. I want nugs like Duggs. Any guidance will be truly appreciated.

Dickie misplaced this post . Whoops .:)

Good morning everyone! I am in the search for a good strain for anxiety. I have found that indicas actually make it worse and am looking for a sativa leaning strain that would help. I found Durban poison helps but it is way too active of a strain to be smoking before going to sleep.

Any suggestions would be awesome. I wouldn't mind running from 12/12 from seed as well so a long flowering wouldn't be an issue.

Thanks everyone! RoorRip

Stardawg by fast buds I grew one last time and one this time strictly personal just for that reason or get some of these

Heat can be a bugger. There are some ways to control it . You can make the intake to go underground and let the air cool down, but there will be condensate, so you need to pump water from the lowest point. Also strong pipes are recommended, so no aluminium. You need intake filter and a way to clean the whole thing. The deeper you can go, the better. You can also get some high pressure misting device and the evaporation should do the trick too. Or you can make underground water reservoir and cool the intake air via water pump and heat exchanger which I think is the most efficient way. But you need to get like 6ft+ down to really see improvement. But then you can make the water circuit in copper tubing in the depth. Those solutions can be pricey, but will last you a lifetime if you take care of them. Good luck and have fun growing! :thumb:  :Namaste:

I really love those beds! I wish I had the room to do that. The ssh is looking great too, id love to try that strain, it's used in so many crosses it must be special. I've tried to grow it once but the seedling didn't make it.

Everything looking super in the GR. Love that glass! :bongrip:
Thanks jim. The glass is heavier than it looks, nice and solid. Weight is a good sign of reliability.

Thanks neiko. It's a joy to see everyday that they are loving life. This is our 2nd run of the SSH and the first time was a complete mess. 20 weeks of flower and didn't get a solid structure of buds. It was a mess. Thus time we actually have a buds of a decent size and they are dense.

Have a good one bud.

about 3 weeks in flower. This pheno has a real fruity scent so far. One day I hopefully will be growing in dbhb. This definitely looks like the way to go forward. @Nismo12 do you know where I can find a list of the store brands tested with the kit? Kinda hard for me to send it to test .

Hey Nis,...Canna, top of the mornin to ya's. lookin mighty fine you guys. Glad to see ya's got a decent pheno of SSH. She will bloom and keep on blooming , producing massive solid buds and don't be surprised to see her throw out A LOT of foxtails over the last two weeks or so.
Just a thought with your trough girls....they look good and all Nis but can you not get them trained to get more of a dense bush instead of lanky looking like they are now. Maybe top all the leaders or tie them down. just wanna see you pull in your expected and 'hoped for' yields.Your soil capabilities are thru the roof now...no reason the plants growing in it can't be that way too. Take advantage of all your hard work and grow those as 'monsters'...just DO IT!:):high-five::Namaste:

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Islandgrow, I was just sitting here wondering why it took so long to convince me to try the kit. Nis was sold on it almost immediately, and I should have been too. Life lesson learned there!
The Brix growers used to, well still do, rave about the taste, and smell, and the resin production. I heard what they said, just never really let it sink in. It's amazing to smoke the buds grown in the DBHBB KIT. The flavors are so much more potent, the resin is off the charts, and I believe I heard Nis talking about not leaving lids off of the jars of buds that are currently in our clothes closet due to not wanting to smell like a walking weed plant. So yeah, the smell is there too. Lol, oops!
Have a good day bud! I'll let Nis answer about the soil questions you have.

Yea I have been following along and enjoying the brix journey you embarked upon.
If anyone has a doubt about dbhbb a stroll through this thread and all the others of brix growers would definitely convince them. And the community is super helpful.

Where I am I would have to order everything and the shipping would def hurt my pocket.

They are from Royal Queen Seeds. My people are pretty into Blueberry and all the hybrids. I'm super stoked to see if I can get the brix levels high enough to really taste and smell it.

Yeah that Blue Dream has been something else. Honestly should have chosen a different strain to put in there but I thought it would have gone different. The pheno is very lanky if you will. I'll top the ends of the leaders tonight and do some pinching to get some more side branching...hopefully. The tutankhamon on the other hand has tight nodes and the branching is phenominal so I have no doubts that it will be a good one.

On a positive note after the transplant and the leaf wash it has made the leaves look like fake plants. Their texture and appearance is amazing and have show no signs of pests.

Tried some of the kosher kush last night and it tasted like a pine tree. Super strong pine taste and very potent. I now understand the couple puffs and put it down. :Namaste:

Hey Nis,...so glad you like the KK,...told ya....:slide: That's why i grew it ...it is a very 'top notch' strain with exceptional genetics. A very strong , tasty 'Kush' strain with great potency , yields and ease of growing...fantastic bud. Ya, great that your gonna work on getting that BD a lil more 'thick' looking. Like i said ...you have sooo much fantastic soil there...i know what it's capable of....so do you ...now:)
Cheers you guys. keep up the great work ...you guys are killin doc's gear....knew ya's would....:surf::thumb:
