Congratulations guys!!!! You'll kick even more budd( :)) now! Improving/fine-tuning your environment, as Doc has mentioned (thank you Doc) so many times, its probably the most important part of the grow. :thumb:

I just realized Rob changed nis's name. Hahaha! He did that to me too, when I won my first contest. I'll make the adjustment in my brain Nis. :hugs:

Yeah it caught me off guard when I saw it the first time also. Then I saw the George kastanza picture and knew it was me lol.
Changed his name to what? Lol
Just added "grow journal of the month - December 2017" under my name. You have it as well but cannot see it on the app. Exciting stuff.

Everything is coming together for us. Tons of light now.

Now we have 3 weeks to figure out how to water our plants while we are gone. The ones in veg will be fine with a good soaking before we go but the ones in flower need water every 3 or 4 days. They need to go 8 or 9 days. Was considering a drip system to turn on every 3 days to pull water out of our reservoir. Really need to consider than since we don't want to loose 5 plants because of vacation. The best thing we could have done is have the room empty but our Supply is dwindling and wouldn't last 3 more months so we had to flower something. Lol.

Back to the drawing board.

3 weeks :) one good soak and then wait and hope for the best?
Get a drip system (motor with timer, hose, nozzles (you plug in the hose) It isn't that bad in price. The only trick part is to regulate the dripping (each plant needs to get correct amount in the time you set timer too)

Yeah I have looked into drip systems since that's what I wanted to start using in flower and just turn it on when we went to water to soak the troughs. Now is the time to get it dialed in though before hand. Time to do some shopping!

:) I have one of those systems, you need a lot of hose so measure first and then how many plants ( big ones can get 2-3 nozzles for example) so you knw\ow how many nozzles to get. Also, Think of, pots in the beginning will get more water than in the end of hose. So the 1st pots needs to be regulated to get less water as per same size as the end pots of same size :)

Thank you AB for the help. I just found something that will work while we are gone. We will have to dial it in and run it a few times to make sure it works flawlessly when we are gone. It'll be here friday so it'll get tested and dialed in on Saturday. Make sure the smaller pots get less and the big flower girls get enough but not flood our rooms lol. That is why we have cameras in the rooms so we can watch them while away. :thumb:

I've got a drip for my outdoor food garden rain bird is the manufacturer and it works great and it's cheap. Pressure regulator is only like $15 and then you buy drip emitters ( like $6 for a 10 pack) to put at the end of each line and they have different ones .5 gph (gallons per hour) 1 - 1.5. Etc. you can get the timer from same company for like $40 it's cheap you'll just have to get the pump for your reservoir and the timer for your pump. I would suggest that the pump timer turn on a minute or 30 seconds before the drip timer this way it gives the pressure regulator time to collect all the water pressure. Just a suggestion imho lol. Good luck can't wait to see what you guys come up with

I'll do more reading tonight and get things ordered. Haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet. But what you described is basically what I have picked out and in the cart. Just want to make sure I have everything first. Also was looking at halos but those are not as "flexible" as the tube with emitters.

I like the 1/4inch emitter tubes and the 1 gph they don't clog with nutes ya know good luck don't for get the pressure regulator!! Good luck brother

Hey Canna and Nis, On the morning of your flight (not the night before) give them as much as it takes to saturate them, then fill up their trays too. That should be plenty ! Cheers.:Namaste:
Our flight is at 5 am and we will be driving 3 hours the night before to the airport. Who would think that our local international airport would charge $400 more a ticket for an extra 30 minute flight to the airport we are driving to.

But the seedlings I'm not worried about in the slightest but the flower girls, I don't want to take a chance. I'll spend $50 and get a kit and hook it up. As an added security blanket we have camera so if anything hits the fan, I'll make a call and have our friend stop by and do whatever we need. Better to be safe than sorry.

Yes, gotcha , sounds like a good idea .Don't want you guys worrying about things. Everything will work out , just handy , dandy Nis.
OK, you ready?..........got one for ya's......."....ya never give him what he wants....just what he needs!"
I love that one, one of the better quotes from that series of flicks. Well.....?

Try and get some rest on the flight...sounds like you's got some travelin to do the morning of.....us too. They want ya there so early, 2-3 hrs. before departure, sucks. We have an hour drive to the airplane....it's a twin engine prop.....:rofl:
Na, it's prolly gonna be a 737. Seems to be what all the airlines have. We gonna pay a bit more , soon , to get a window seat, ahead of the wing!:slide: Anyhow , more on this later. Hope ya's get the water thing figured. Cheers C, N and gang!:smokin:

Flying during winter(from Canuckistan) months can be challenging to say the least...this is a reply from me last Thursday to my bud who asked how things were going so far...

Trip down was pure SHIT!...plane from TO was an hour late...then spent two hours on a dinky plane on the tarmac waiting for the runway to be clear enough to take off(snow storm)...our route is the scenic route...where get to fly back to TO before carrying on to Calgary...well coming in for a landing in TO...turbulence was so fucking bad, I swear we were doing 360's...oh yeah...they were having freezing rain and rain all day...that's comforting!?...lolool...by then we had 15 minutes to catch connecting flight which is like five fokkin miles away...after nearly jogging half way there flagged down a buggy and told him to boot it!...fooker did too!...loolol...turns out no panic... flight was delayed as well...another hour and a half we were on our way to calgary...took close to an hour to get our luggage cause the baggage doors on the plane were frozen shut...FFS!!...there's still a bit more...but needless to say we made it here yesterday around 11:00 a.m....had some beers and unpacked...hit the rack at 6:30 p.m.(by now I had been awake for 38 hours with 45 minutes sleep on the last leg) and slept 10 straight hours...33C today...LIFE IS GOOD!!!...lolool...

...silver lining to that story...have 9 more weeks here to chill(providing everything stays kewl at home...parents in 90's) and totally forget about it...Hope you have safe travels...and have a blast!...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

Changed his name to what? Lol

He capitalized the name, or am I recalling this incorrectly? Didn't Nis start out with a lower case n? When I started here my username only had one capital S in it. When I won the first contest Rob capitalized both. :battingeyelashes: It felt kinda like I grew up. Lol! I assumed the same thing happened here.
