Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Update

Today we will have a formal update. We have decided to do just normal chores in the grow this weekend since it is my birthday on Tuesday and I just want to relax for once on a weekend. It always seems that we are doing something down there and I just want to sit around today and chain smoke joints. :tokin:

Flower Room

Here we are at the start of day 8 and they are looking very very healthy. They have been getting brix once a week, 3/4 strength de-stress twice a week and yesterday we used the leaf wash. The leaf wash has a peppermint smell to it and definitely does the job at washing the leaves. Blasted more dead mite bodies off of the leaves and it is very hard to find ones that are alive. It seems that the tutankahmon is the only one that has any crawling around a little bit, but with this weeks round of foliar sprayings I think we will be victorious. We will not let up on the fight but the end is near. Yesterday they got their first full strength trans drench and it looks like they loved it. Really haven't noticed much pistil formation as of yet but usually right around day 10 or so is when you have a good amount. So onto the pictures!

Crown Royale

This thing is a tree! With the awesome light penetration I think she will fill out quite well. The leaves are as soft as silk when running your hand through her. 38" inches tall currently and is loving life.

Strawberry Cake

This one had the most mites at one time and now there isn't a single one on it now. Finally some good looking plants. Roughly 24" tall.

I just noticed that I didn't take any of the blue dream and the tutankhamon today so you get to see them in the group shot.

All 5 Birds of paradise seeds have successfully broken ground and have shed their shells. Here is the info from dynasty genetics.

Strain Name: Birds of Paradise
Breeder: Professor P (Dynasty Genetics)
Height: medium/tall
Weight (yield): Heavy
Flowering time in days: 60-70days
Sativa/Indica ratio: 60/40
-
With over 12 years of accumulative efforts invested into the development process, Birds of Paradise has an incredibly unique terpene profile that has kept us on the edge of our seats. Both parents were bred and selected based mainly upon medicinal values, which makes this strain very effective for multiple conditions of patients.
-
The mother of this strain is our Kali Snapple (Pineapple/Snowbud x pre 2000 Kali Mist). She expresses tropical smells of pineapple/fruit, which blend excellently with undertones of fuel and skunk. Most of these traits have been passed onto the offspring.
-
Blue Heron was the male used, and he contributes a beautiful terpene profile ranging from blueberry/fruit/rose/ incense. The blue heron also sped up the boom time and added another level of resin to this hybrid.
-
Large plants, colorful blossoms and tropical/fruity/fuel smells will be found throughout the gene pool of the Birds of Paradise. Trichome coverage is above average and on some plants will look like optical illusions when they are ripe.. (Immense trichome coverage skews perception). Faster phenos leaning towards the Blue Heron have also proven to be amazing plants for outdoor growers.
-
Enjoying the natural beauties of the “Birds of Paradise” is inevitable, when a treasure trove of terpenes wait tantalize your senses.

Taste (burned and unburned): Pineapples/berry/skunk/rose
Scent (burned/unburned): Tropical fruit and berries with hints of rose.
What the dried bud/crumbled bud looks like: extremely frosty
Speed of high onset: Immediate
Duration of high: 4-6 hours
Quality/type of high: The high begins with a cerebral effect, which transitions to a full body effect after the initial onset.
Medicinal qualities: Anti-anxiety, pain, nausea, MS, IBS, insomnia, increased artistic vision

Birds of Paradise has an enticing tropical/fruity smell that serves growers well as an easy to grow medical strain. The high is thought provoking and borderline psychedelic, which should be handled with care.

Then we have 2 devils carnivals clones that have been put to the test. I wanted the 1s to be just a giant ball of roots. I think we have gotten pretty close. :thumb:

That's all I have for today so it is time to roll a bunch of joints and I think we will pull out the 7pipe twisty glass blunt today. Give it another go. Yesterday when we were out and about we were using our new Kind Pen vape. It works great and I bet canna will do a good review of it.

Hope everyone has an awesome day today. Smoke em if you got em! :passitleft:

Beautiful! All of it!

Isn't it a great feeling to kill those bastards without using a miticide or some chemical?

Great roots too. :thumb:

It is really cool blasting those bastards with the incredible foliar sprays that come with the kit! I wouldn't have believed it, if I didn't do it myself. Unbelievable!! I'm glad the room is wrapped though. I realized the nozzle on the pump up sprayer was adjustable, and let me tell you, it gets places now! Chest high on the walls. I can almost see the bugs splatting on the walls, tiny corpses crushed upon impact. Then they slide to the floor where they drown in a drop of foliar. Mwa ha ha ha!

Canna and Nis you guys have an amazing set up, and are doing great work. Hope you are having a great day. In the group shot with the blue dream and the tutankhamon what size are the smart pots you are using. I think that is what they are called the black cloth pots.

Hey buddy! How's it going? The bd and tut are in #7 or 7 gal smart pots. Actually, all in the pic, besides the hard pot, are in 7 gal.

You both got it! :yahoo: Looking great, I bet one cannot get enough of the greenness! Seriously anybody reading this, get yourself a smartpot of decent size, put a living organic soil in it, seedling, brew some teas and just sit down as you add water. Just for comparison with your bottled nutes. My, oh my, what a smoke. Nice to hear you enjoy your vape guys! Keep the pictures coming, what a pleasure! The Pakistan valley looks promising! Good luck. :Namaste:

It's horrible out there today. Freezing rain and such. Should have brought my skates to this ice rink lol

Took this picture yesterday 2 hours after a GE drench. Went from droopy to this. Try and tell me this stuff doesn't work and I'll laugh at you. :laughtwo:

im going to post some pics of my fig tree in my thread later..

its bearing fruit and leaves, :)I brought it in after it dropped everything during the 1st frost outside...gave it some Recharge, EWC and some Roots GE, ..its amazing stuff!

Would the 7 gallon pots be okay to grow plants in outside? I have a raised bed that I used last summer but I want to grow more this summer. If I used the 7 gallon smart pots how many of them could i fill using the compacted 2 cubic foot packages of pro mix?

1 cu/ft is 6.4 gallons dry weight. I didn't know the 2 cu/ft promix was compressed, I thought it was loose. I know the 3.8 bale is compressed and is 7 cu/ft when loose. But with outdoor growing I was told that a minimum of 20 gallons is needed to reach potential.

Thanks Nis, man that is a shitload of soil. Have you heard of the Hyrdofarm Dirt pots with the handles? That is what I was thinking of using. Quite sure it was the 2 that I used last year around 20 bucks amd I had to break it all ip with my hand compressed big time. Maybe it was a canadian thing...lol.

The problems with small containers outside:

1. The roots heat up, causing unhappy microbes and possibly helping pathogens grow.
2. there isn't enough root mass to keep up with the plant's metabolism.

the solution to both is a larger container! 20 gallons is too small, IMO.

A 3'x3'x18" bed is about the minimum I'd go for 1 single plant. If you want to reach potential, a 10'x10'x36" bed will do the trick. The roots won't fill it to the edge and that much soil won't heat up much, especially if it's on the ground or in the ground.

Done properly, we can substitute pounds for ounces, outdoors for indoors.

Thanks Doc. I dont remember the size of the bed I grew in last year I do know it was a foot high and 13 feet long cant remember the width but I had 5 plants in it that I got started late 1st or 2nd week of june and they yielded 2lbs or really great stuff according to people.
