First, your coco should be washed and buffered. The Coco i use is bagged and pre washed with a 70/30 Coco Perlite Ratio. I have never washed it in the past and its not recommended. I have never had this issue.
It wasn't a brick was it? Nope ^
Coco needs calmag every feeding. I feed Quarter Strength Marine CalMg by Sensi Bio.
Then set your ph to 5.8 exactly every time. Im usually within 5.8, 5.9, & if im lazy 6 at worse. My mate who runs a shop says that in veg, 5.7 / 5.8 is ideal, but when it flower 6.0 / 6.2 is a better range. Any thoughts ?
Every day full strength nutrients to runoff at 5.8 ph with calmag first. Copy that, thanks to you, i started doing this over a year ago.
No plain water ever and Coco must remain moist. Another thanks to you for that info over a year ago haha ! On that note, When doing a mid flush to try and bring the EC down, Would you just use A+B low dose say 0.5 EC ? The EC here in Australia can climb quickly because of how hot and dry we are
I somtimes feed 3 times a day and it still dry
No plain water ever and Coco must remain moist. I agree with you entirely on this one, however, Hydroponic Shop Owners, and some other people i have seen on forums, say that in eary Veg, its better to leave the plants Coco top layer to atleast get a little brown, or you can easily end up with slimey brown roots due to excess moisture because the roots are not drinking enough.... I dunno lol.. I stick with you
So quick Update / Edit. Problem seems to have resolved upon a quick flush and some base feeds, & bringing my Small Nutrient Container inside from the cold slab outside.. However, it has been winter here, just ending actually, and its been extremely cold, nights getting as low as 6 c. Since my plants have been small and in veg, i have only used my 10 L Rez. So im wondering, and its only a theory, is it possible that my nutrient was being effectively degraded from exposure to super cold weather ? I should note that inside the grow tent its never below 21c.
