So how do you make Hempy work?

Stats, lights, nutes, medium...etc etc etc

And better to leave it on the plant so we can see what's going on
Stats ? Lights are Spider Farmer SF4000, 40 inches away, PAR @ 250ISH give or take. Watering everyday @ 1.1 EC. As mentioned will take pic of entire plant when i getback home. Some burnt tips on leaves which leads me to believe it may not be Calcium ?

Hey Azi. :ciao: Thanks Amigo.

Good morning my friend. T33B.
Coco has a couple basic rules to follow and you will be fine.
First, your coco should be washed and buffered.
It wasn't a brick was it?
Coco needs calmag every feeding.
Put calmag in your plain water first every time.
Then add your nutrients according to the recommended schedule.
Then set your ph to 5.8 exactly every time.
Then feed every day to run off.
Every day full strength nutrients to runoff at 5.8 ph with calmag first.
No plain water ever and Coco must remain moist.
Never let it dry.
I run coco in all my threads and show pics and explain everything.
Have a look.
Any questions I'm always available.
Enjoy your day.
Talk soon.

it can have both.
Yes, it can very easily be two or more deficiency issues happening at the same time, especially if growing in coco. The coco is an organic plant material but it takes so long, several years to as much as 20, before it can decompose and return the nutrients and minerals back for the plant to use. That is why some growers consider it to be an inert material suitable for hydro style grows.

First, your coco should be washed and buffered. The Coco i use is bagged and pre washed with a 70/30 Coco Perlite Ratio. I have never washed it in the past and its not recommended. I have never had this issue.

It wasn't a brick was it? Nope ^

Coco needs calmag every feeding. I feed Quarter Strength Marine CalMg by Sensi Bio.

Then set your ph to 5.8 exactly every time. Im usually within 5.8, 5.9, & if im lazy 6 at worse. My mate who runs a shop says that in veg, 5.7 / 5.8 is ideal, but when it flower 6.0 / 6.2 is a better range. Any thoughts ?

Every day full strength nutrients to runoff at 5.8 ph with calmag first. Copy that, thanks to you, i started doing this over a year ago.

No plain water ever and Coco must remain moist. Another thanks to you for that info over a year ago haha ! On that note, When doing a mid flush to try and bring the EC down, Would you just use A+B low dose say 0.5 EC ? The EC here in Australia can climb quickly because of how hot and dry we are :( I somtimes feed 3 times a day and it still dry :(

No plain water ever and Coco must remain moist. I agree with you entirely on this one, however, Hydroponic Shop Owners, and some other people i have seen on forums, say that in eary Veg, its better to leave the plants Coco top layer to atleast get a little brown, or you can easily end up with slimey brown roots due to excess moisture because the roots are not drinking enough.... I dunno lol.. I stick with you :p

So quick Update / Edit. Problem seems to have resolved upon a quick flush and some base feeds, & bringing my Small Nutrient Container inside from the cold slab outside.. However, it has been winter here, just ending actually, and its been extremely cold, nights getting as low as 6 c. Since my plants have been small and in veg, i have only used my 10 L Rez. So im wondering, and its only a theory, is it possible that my nutrient was being effectively degraded from exposure to super cold weather ? I should note that inside the grow tent its never below 21c.

Let's start at the end and work our way up.
When you say super cold, what temp is your nutrients going into the pot?
And what are your pots sitting on?
Not concrete right?
Mid flush? Do you mean flushing the pot?

I never measured the nutrients at there coldest, but when it was 15c Daytime Temp, the nutrient water temps were a few below flickering around 12c to 13c. So at the coldest part of the night, where we had a avg of 7c or 8c, its absolutley possible to nutrient water got ths low as well. Yes the nutrient container was on a concrete slab. ( I know :| Im not proud right now ) The plants however are in a tent on wooden floorboards, Plants in plastic container and are also elevated off the tent floor itself to stay out of the runoff.

By mid flush, i mean somtimes during flower when they are really drinking, the EC can start to creep up from the Runoff i have noticed. I will be feeding 2 EC or so, and the EC out somtimes creeps upto 2.6 / 2. 8 / 3.0 .. I check my EC runoff alot. This happens more so during the warmer parts of the year, and fertigating 3 times a day somtimes still is not enough.

Cheers for ya time buddy !
