Waterchilled 8 Gallon DWC - Tangie - SolisTek Double Ended - Newbie

Hello fellow growers, been growing on and off for some time now, always wanted to take a shot at some DWC goodness and finally took the plunge. This is a test run for the new system to kind of get a feel for things. Currently building a DIY UC 4XL system.
So lets get rolling

Setup

Sun system Ac\De reflector
Solis tek digital matrix 1k ballast
Solis tek 600w 6k de mh
Ecoplus 1/4hp water chiller
Ecoair 7 commercial air pump
8" Hyperfan
8gal ropak square buckets
Dual micro pore air diffusor .25 micron

strain

Tangie rooted clone, came off a flowering mother so this clone should turn into a nice bush.

Ok so got everything setup and dialed in. Running AN ph perfect sensi grow. Added 15ml of a and b. Also running some HydroRush to keep everything clean. Getting a bluelab guardian or there multimeter here soon so not sure what the ph is at the moment. Im assuming its at 5.8ph due to the ph perfect. Water chiller is keeping water at 64f - 66f.

The clone has some good starting roots as far as i can tell and have hit the water already. Seems to be doing fine will wait a couple of days for her to adjust. So wish me luck and let me k ow what you all think, lets see how this goes.

Ive looked everywhere, and read quite a bit about dimming mh bulbs. From what ive read it says it will affect its spectrum. Im running a solis tek matrix ballast and there 600w double ended 6k bulb and wanted to drop it to 420w. What do you all think?

Im also getting some slight browning, not sure if its from when it was initially rooting or if i gave her to much nutes. AN recommends 1ml per L for clones and seedlings. With the water chiller water cap and the growth module thinking its around 9 gallons. Added 15ml of a and b which is pretty low. Getting a bluelab soon hopefully so i can see ppm and ph. Going to give her a couple more days.

Ok so she seems to be stable for the most part. Orderd a bluelab combo meter and should be arriving soon. I noticed the roots are starting to fish bone and have gained some mass.

Took a close up of her and not too sure whats happening to the older leafs, the new ones look green, any thoughts? Im sure things will get better once my bluelab shows up and i can actually get her ppms correct and ph in range.

Will be frameing up a wall and building an actual room soon. Basically adding a wall in my room with a door. The room will be 10ft x 6ft x 9.5ft. Added an 8" hyperfan to cool the ac/de reflector which i will be venting through a wall into my laundry room once the wall is constructed.

Ok so went out and picked up a bluelab combo meter ran me 230$ out the door at my local spot, got home calibrated it. Threw in my rez and checked ph and ppms 500 scale.

Ph was 8.2 ���� and ppms were 1310. Poor plant suprised it was still alive after floating in that for 2 days. Dumped rez and chiller, rinsed out and added fresh tap and dropped ph to 5.5. I tested my tap and its on the high side, ppms of 500. Going to get a stealth ro soon. when adding nutes do i just deduct the tap water ppm to find out how strong the feed is? i have not added any nutes and i am just going to let her run in the tap water at 5.5 - 6.0ph for a couple days and than add nutes.

Water temps are still at 64f - 66f. She should start flying now. Never starting hydro again unless i have all the equipment i need, makes things easier in the long run. So stay tuned thing should start rolling soon.

Shes doing better, ph has stabalized on 5.8ph. Framed up the start to my room and used panda film to seal it up. Still need to finish with the frameing but its starting to come together. Getting some longer black tube so i can move the chiller outside of the room. Cant wait to throw my DIY UC RDWC 4XL in there and go to town. Waiting on my 2" bulkheads.

Also picked up some dutch master zone to run next rez change. Got ventalation setup. Need to pick up an 8" dust shroom to run on open side of hood.

Older roots seem to be brown, think there stained from the AN nutes im using. Shes starting to turn green again and her browning on the leaves have stopped. Bluelab solved that issue ☺ other than the older roots she popping nice white fish bone roots. Ph is stable only rose to 5.9 over night.

Hopefully she picks up and starts to take off.

Picked up a stealth ro 100 from my buddy, flushed it out. Running some water right now about to test ppms here in a bit to see if filters are still working.
update ppms came out at 20ppm, an ec of 0. There still kicking. Filled up rez and added 15ml of a and b of aqua flakes and 15ml of dutch master zone. Phd to 5.5 and well see how the night goes.
