Hope nobody minds the sunset.......??? It's a gorgeous sunset! Almost a dream vacation to the beach kind. I'm quite envious!!

yeah mate you dont wanna put that on ya plants super high ph ....they would shrivel and die very quickly :thedoubletake:
exactly why we dont allow salt build ups left behind by ferts to happen with our babes ;)
if your talking about enviromental factor of living next to beach,im sure trichs wets his girls down often after the sun is off them.
with fresh water lol

IV is right - watering with it would be lethal. But they (and many) plants are pretty adaptable and get used to the conditions they grow up in. They can handle some salt carried by wind and fog it's different than the salt form of a major nutrient.

I don't think trichs hoses off the plants at all - or not often - and it rarely rains there

He will no doubt confirm or correct this.....

Why thank you for bringing this ole "salt" from the sea, issue up my friend. The past 2 years I have not seen any salt accumulating on the girls. Gf had brought this up, back when Fluxy was on death row.

In order to satisfy your curiosity, I removed a couple leaves from each of my four girls. I proceeded to lick down the leaves, very slowly and thoroughly, I tongued every leaf. When I got through licking & tonguing the leaves, I did not taste any saltyness, but my tongue was exhausted.

I'm a tad behind in my recent replies from visitors, I will catch up today and reciprocate :green_heart: to all that contributed a post.

I see that slowgro liked the first salt-test results.

I just got a PM suggesting another test should be performed, to be extra sure that there is no salt on the gals.

I have a new leaf from each plant, rolled into a ball by gloved hand, the marble sized ball was dropped into soup spoon filled with water,

I just poured the water into me eyes and it did not sting at all. Again, slowgro:thumb:, I appreciate the salty share & you are correct,

Fluxy has never seen any significant rain & I have not hosed her down since that first sign of Botrytis/ mold.
