Subbed. *Sigh* - another cracking journal to keep track of. Growing cannabis is easy compared to being a 420 member.

:thumb: lol, touche' , :passitleft: that is for the laugh, thanks for lemon tree jay, great idea, in the middle of summer, who can resist fresh cold lenonaide, when they start to run out the gate with that sign "reply for free lemonaide" sign, on the exit gate. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Just kidding Trichomes :) :circle-of-love:

To answer your question: Yes it sounds like she will finish before fall ...but I am not an outdoor guru...I am indoor guy gone rouge :)

...I love that baseball pic

thanks Jay, i've never had a girl in the ground go this long, either way ,,:allgood:

and, yeah, Fluxy likes baseball much more than golf, thanks for the moth report/reply in your yard, stay for a puff w your drink? :passitleft:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

Subbed for sure! I used to do some guerilla style growing in the Daintree rainforest in Far North Australia. We used to have to lay down heaps of mulch and tie the stems down to the ground so you wouldn't get caught. Really impressed mate :thumb::bravo:
thanks Growlow :welcome: nice comments you left behind, i like 'em both!

i'm :lot-o-toke: already confusing your username, with my mate "Slowgro" , lol

you might need a nickname in here, you wouldn't mind that would you Growlow?:hmmmm:

thanks G :high-five: :circle-of-love:

like that mule you Bob let sink in my pool, or was that a horse? lol I'll never go on vacation again, after that!

thanks for the suggestion :passitleft:

the HORROR!

found some very small patches of MOLD on Fluxy buds, Lester has a great thread from 2012, on mold removal, as far as prevention, the humidity we have had recently is uncommon. I'll just keep a close eye on her.

At this stage of flower, I can't spray anything on her. 50% humidity combined with moisture from the ocean 2-300 yards away, we are vulnerable, it gets worse, as the buds get bigger, I may have to start pulling them away from areas where the are pushing against the stalk. Maybe even a heat device in the "basebal cradle" area, to keep her dryer. :hmmmm: I have a hotplate, that goes as low as 70° or the small heater/fan, shown near the ghetto tent in last nights pic :hmmmm:

Re: WTF! Watch This Flux, 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing, presents "Fluxy Lady" fully restra

I believe the tripod legs are the cause of the mold, when I look at the location of the mold, it lines up with buds that touch the legs of the tripod, this will add moisture to the bud that touchesfog/dew, that accumulates on the metal tripod-legs. We get a LOT of fog.

I will 86 the tripod< Fluxy has outgrown it. I'll simply, hang the net from some MacGyver device, that

I will have figured out by sunset/mothtime, tonight. I'll go check the tripod legs for sticky to verify my theory.

here's pic to ponder the theory, the tripod has been fired.

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

You actually see mold? Because if it turned that way near the legs which are metal, the buds are probably burned not moldy. Again, you have to determine if it is actually mold, but I would immediately remove the damaged areas mold or not. That is a standard method used in the industry on commercial growing ops. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, if it is mold.

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

You actually see mold?

thanks GF, yes i actually saw it, then i saw it again, than i swore, than i saw some more, then i ran into Lester's yard, put "mold" in the 420 search box, and he had everything one could hope for, on mold, i found he had a 2 yr old thread, specically on mold.

it cannot be from heat, the tripod is never on her, when the sun is out. also, this close to beach our temp rarely reaches over 75° with lots of fog/inversion layer from cold water and warm air.

:thankyou: for jumping in, I removed with instructions from Lesters' thread. it was like heart surgery,

I know spores go airborne, just the thought is terrifying.

I first got suspicious when i noticed a dying leaf, at the base of that leaf was w/ out question mold, shown in picture.

here's a new pic, this came off the stalk with no effort, i can blow it off.

thanks again for helping:thumb:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

Did you cut it off lower than it appeared on the stem? I would say to treat, but it is in flower so what would you use? Does that SNS companay (if that is the sponsors name with the rosemary oil systemic) sell anything for mold which you could use systemically? I only know to remove as much of it plus a bit of healthy tissue, cleaning the tools with clorox and water 10 to 1 water between each cut. Your hands can also spread mold spores so every few cuts, if you do remove some plant material, wash your hands in the solution. Just a rinse is good and 10-1 is not too harsh on the skin.

Good luck. You should be okay. Isn't it supposed to be dry in S.CA?

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

I'm sure you'll kick that mold Trichs, good luck! ugly stuff >.< poor fluxy lady.
I wanna see how you deal with it, hopefully I'll not get any mold but if I do I wanna prepare.

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

mold sucks. I had it on one plant because I didn't have a fan running and the buds were sweating by my light. the first thing you'll notice is cobweb like structures. upon further inspection the buds against the stalk were rotting. the madness starts at post #180: Jamaica Seeds Blackout Kush #2

make sure to never wet your plant when you water, only the soil.

yes we are usualy very dry, we are getting the edge tropical weather from Mexico/Gulf, swirly north & west, weather is supposed to flow east, it's the most humidity I've felt since moving out of Rhode Island.

I can't spray any of my SNS , no spray until humidity is gone, or more likely,no spray until after harvest..

Thanks again for jumping in GF :high-five:

 started early huh? hit this for :cheertwo: great of yours :bigtoke:

I think you've solved it Sherlock :)

Apart from the mould you're looking good :thumb:
:thankyou: skunkmonster. Sherlock is on vacation last I saw. :geek: if you want to see a monster, put InsaneRooster, in the 420 search box, I named it for him, he ran away with Plant of the Month victory in April or May, a great S African member/friend. He'll be back.

thank you soilGal, I appreciate any encouragement and positive thoughts to kill the mold, every last spore. We'll prevail!:circle-of-love:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

I'm seriously considerring this ghetto tent fan, lying on it's back, on top of the hotplate, set at 72°,

both will fit right in that nesting area (shown in my avatar) it won't rain here until October,

I'll give that more thought, Smokey the Bar, will not like the idea. Maybe just the hotplate, :hmmmm:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

You will learn to recognize that 'dying leaf' effect at the first sign of wilting, and early detection is key to finding spots of it before they can produce more spores. It's a 'window' of hours - a day at most - you have to be ruthless and not let it fester

If you see a 'puff' come from a patch of mold, that's thousands of spores - maybe millions - terrifying indeed. Contain them in any way you can as you remove the infested parts - maybe pinch with wet paper towel when cutting off - and immediately dump the bad stuff in the clorox or such. If you just put it in the trash it'll keep making spores. And don't ever blow on it again! :thedoubletake:

Wishing you a dry spell! That humidity off the ocean is a tough situation.

It may be heresy, but I would open up the buds as much as possible for ventilation. And if the wind dies down at times, put a fan on her.
