Hey, H4T. Thanks for swinging by my nearly finished journal!! Glad you made it in. So, keep in mind I'm a novice as well. Here's what I can tell you about checking the tric situation:

10-20% amber and 80-90% milky -- you're probably good to harvest... you don't want to see too many clear trics at all, if any. you'll usually see "some" though.

after that, you can harvest anytime. letting you buds over-riper will add to your yield, increase the potential for a couchlock buzz, etc. so, it kind of depends on your aim for the medication. different harvests for different ailments!!

also pay attention to your "hairs." you'll notice most of the erect white hairs curling, a good deal of red hairs, etc. when the buds are ripe. and just check them daily for swelling, try to note when the swelling slows or completely stops. or in some cases starts back up again, i suppose.

Alright it has come to my attention that Transition week counts in Flower mode...so I am in week 7 day 54....SOB....I gotta flush the Monster now...is a few days ahead of same strain back row Pure Power Plant....Front row plants a few days apart also....quality is in the grower...in my case if he's lucky!! LOL! Here's shots taken tonight!

Yeah...i plan to flush the next 2 weeks for 2 plants. The other 2 starting a week from now. I will hang a cardboard box above the lights and dry the buds in there...it should work. Thanks everyone!

I do ph to 5.8 in hydro and 6.5 in soil no matter what but have contemplated locking out a plant at the end by running the ph way up and see what happens.

This is PURE POWER PLANT #1 of 2....the most mature. Started flush on Monday, expect to Harvest in 11 days or so. The other 2 plants are at least a week behind BLACKJACK runs longer in flower. I saw no amber in the close ups, but there are some but the leaves are turning colors also giving the illusion of amber trichs. Thanks for viewing.

I have read that bleached bud are useless. I am certain the buds for PPP#2 are bleached. Do I wait till harvest to top them and is what it is, or cut the tops now and hope for positive undergrowth?

Hmmm Idk if the buds are useless if bleached I usually bend them down and out of the light if they start to bleach some guys used to light bleach on purpose they thought they were stronger buds
