What was your plan for it? Alcohol extraction or olive oil extraction(ect.) maybe evaporating?

@bluter can tell you more about the instant pot.
All I've used mine for is basic infused oil and budder, and vegetable glycerin for sublinguals.
It actually works pretty well for the oils, and decarbs the weed during the infusion process so you don't stink up the house.
I really don't see how it could be used to evaporate the alcohol off for rso though.

I'm sure I saw somebody use it to heat the alcohol & weed, keep it under 200f don't see why you couldn't evaporate it down (pour off before it gets too thick) if you can keep under 200 f (keep the lid open) It's the vapor (collecting in a confined area) you have to worry about

Ok if it's OK I'll use it.
Has exact temp control.
I can set it to 180 I'm sure.
I'll plug it in and read the instructions. that might help.

Try it with some water With the dirty rso (you want to make) you have to worry about how hot the heating element gets in between heating cycles. With clean honey oil you don't have to worry as much
Not sure if that fancy electronic gizmo will even work with the lid open

That lid better vent off.
I don't want to sit there fanning it for ever.
I'll investigate further.

The pressure cook function (what it was designed for) is too hot. It decarbs the weed as it infuses, and you have to depressurize it to take the lid off. There's a pressure release valve, but if you use it you're going to want to cover your hand, the steam comes out close by, and there's definitely spray as well. You can let it sit and depressurize on its own, but that takes about half an hour.
I'm not sure about the slow cook function. It should be a good temp, but I don't know if it works with the lid off.
The sautée function works with the lid off, but that's probably too hot as well.

Could use a trivet & small bowl, keep it from burning & easy removal

Sorry bud but it takes a long time, my average is 6 hours to run a 700 ml batch
Don't have to do anything but important to keep an eye on it
Speed ends up burning it

I'll go 24 hrs if that's best.
