Virgin Ground And The Little Star Asterion

Not to everyone?
No. I usually smash mine and feed it to the bunnies and squirrels.

My pumpkin is fully intact sitting on my counter since the last week in September. Google says 2-3 months....Google is wrong!!! Lol.

I feel obligated to keep it until it rots, although I'm not sure why. I'm not going to eat it but it still feels like wasting food .

Oh, sometimes mine sit unnoticed on the front porch all winter until my wife says what the hell are we still doing with pumpkins in March and then wtf I pick them up and the bottoms are black and stuck to the brick and it's a shit show cleaning it all off.

Pumpkins are a Halloween prop, not food ;).

Lmao. I'll try to remind you this next November.

Lol, we smashed ours and left them in the side yard. I just looked this past weekend and the only thing left is the top stem! :laughtwo: Does that count as composting?
Bet you have some well fed field mice.

I haven’t ever seen any mice. We live somewhat close to a bird refuge, do birds eat pumpkin?
Yes.

I don't see mice around my place but know they are there. Trash pandas will scale a fence no prob for some pumpkin.

Good Morning VG & HH !
Possums are the scavengers around here..they'll even come into the house if they find a way in.
I had to lasso one that hid under the bathtub quite a few years ago- just so ya know, if you do lasso a possum in the house, they start pooping, and keep it up all the way to the front door...

I raised some babies when I was in high school. They just really like pooping.
