Virgin Ground And The Little Star Asterion

Hello at @InTheShed .
So I'm going to mix some perlite and pro mix. What do you think I should do for ratios?
Is there any other prep other than watering prior to activate the lime?

The chat rep doesn't have access to the "consumer" side of the business, so you're going to have to wing it. My advice is to make it as fluffy as you can. When I was in soil I would go nearly 50/50 even though there was some perlite in it already. Soil is usually pretty dense.

It's hard to overdo perlite as the only downside to more perlite is having to water more often. Much better than soggy pots.

:passitleft:Rinsing perlite sucks. I'll finish tomorrow.
Dropping seeds. True Og, ExoDus Cheese and Purple Punch because the PP can take a chilly room a bit better than the other choices. I bet I can get some good color on her if I sleep with the window open this winter.
Fingers crossed on sprouting these. I only have singles.

Rinsing perlite indoors sucks. Outside it's easy. I pour it into a big plastic plant pot and put that in a bucket with holes in it (you might have one of those) for quick drainage. Then I just grab the hose and start spraying down the perlite.
It so cold out though. Low 30s.

That's cold here. Where you are, it's early spring!
It's still shorts weather for some. Lol.
I've been in a warm room with plants for too long. I get cold easy now.
My feet are like ice cubes.

I lost my imagination suddenly, for unexplained reasons. You may need to demonstrate. I can't quite picture this in my mind. ;)

I don't use perlite anymore but I'd be glad to photoshop something for you if you promise to go outside and rinse the perlite per the diagram. Some folks can be such askholes!

I would never make you do that. I'm sure I can figure it out.

The bottom of the plastic plant pot fits in the top of the bucket but doesn't go all the way in. It keeps the perlite pot off the ground and makes it drain faster as it's suspended in the bucket. The perlite rinse water flows out of the holes in the plant pot, into the bucket, and out of the holes in the bucket.

Does that help?
Immensely. The suspended part especially.
Danke schöen.
