Thanks to you all. You were all correct!

For a variety of reasons, I've haven't taken the time to post here in a while.

I took down the Fat Bastard#2 on the 19th, on her 138th day above soil. The FB#1 went down at 130 days.

I didn't take time to take any pics or measure wet weight. I just gave the plant a very rough trim and put her in the fridge. I plan on running her through the bowl-trimmer once she's dry.

She was a somewhat heavy plant and really sticky. Very similar to her sister (Duh).

I took her out and gauged her today (after 9 days in the fridge) and she's at 74% RH.

I've currently got her splayed on a table under a ceiling fan (in the dark). I'll leave her out for 4-5 hours and then back in the fridge she goes.

So here I offer the only proof that any of what I've said this evening has actually happened:

Hey GDP!

Great harvest! And of course Happy Holidays, NY! Reading about it I was like “Oh yeah fridge drying!”

I have two Autos close to finish, they were labelled as Photos and were free seeds, but I have no where I can think of to dry them. No dehuey spare either.

They look like 4-5oz and 4oz maybe? I have many fridges but they’re all full! I do have a chest freezer though. What do reckon to a bit of feather leaf plucking and bag them in that?

I had a brief search but “freeze drying cannabis” seem to suggest buying a commercial food freeze drying machine and whilst I haven’t looked down the back of the couch yet, prettybsure there’s not $30k there

What do you reckon?

I took advantage of the Atrix giveaway and have some refillable vape cartridges on the way. I'm going to use my rosin to make some vape pens. (That's the "plan" anyway. )

Anyone who knows of a good tutorial link please share it with me!

I'm wondering if I'm drying out the tops of my buds at their late stage of growth. It seems that my weed does not end up as frosty as a lot of the stuff I see on 420.

I've grown some frosty stuff in the past, but under what I believe were lights that were inferior to the ones I have now. So I'm wondering if I need to gradually reduce the light intensity as I near the end of a grow.

Here's a pic of one of the FB#2 buds:

Not more strain related i know my FB is not as frosty as say my blackberry moon rock and hell fire.

Cheers dude - yeah after posting I found that one. Really old though eh?

I figured out an alternative more classical style so I might do one plant like that and the other just put on a tray in the freezer.

They’re like surprise buds anyway! Nearly done and only flipping the others tomorrow We don’t normally veg half as long but were using the flower room as a drying room and now that’s ooph!

I found a freeze dry machine, small one for $10,000 delivered from China - actually lots proper commercial ones

But “slow” freeze drying works then I’d be better off buying two big commercial shelf freezers for $1k each. At the moment we use a 400s/ft room with AC and a dehuey. Anything gotta be chesper then that

also curious on the weight you got off a plant or if buds are all mixed both plants, mine is actually a good day time high & fairly strong but more of a sativa high which kinnda sucks its not the best for pain i might try the Blimburn FB next winter as they seem more on the indica side

Apples and oranges since those branches can be 7 feet long and 3 pounds wet! I love an outdoor grow but there's nothing like a good tent grow for many reasons! Look at those Fat Bastards!

I've learned to make it for the carts too. I do use a liquidizer. Don't know how to make it work without it.

My empty carts are one gram size.
I put about a gram of rosin in a glass shot glass, add about a dozen or so drops of liquidizer.
Put it in the microwave for ten seconds on high. Take it out and stir it.
Probably put it back in the microwave for another 10 seconds and stir again.
Add a few more drops of liquidizer as needed. I just do it a few drops at a time and stir, don't want to use more than necessary.
After I've got it a good viscosity, I set it in the dark for a while.
Come back later and check it's viscosity. It will keep hardening back up after it cools back down. Just stirring it, heats it enough to change viscosity.

When I finally come back to a rested shot glass and the viscosity is where I want it, I fill the little syringe with juice very very slowly, as it's still quite thick and won't run up the straw that fast.

I have the cart positioned in a way that my wrist are supported for a fine injection of juice into the cart. The less you spill the better.

Put the cart in the device and go.
