VG's Sponsor Spotlight Starring Atreum LED & Weed Seeds Express

Highya VG,

Very nice looking ladies! I think soil based organic growing is more forgiving. That's why I really like it. Besides, it's more natural. You seem to be getting used to the learning curve! Happy Smokin'

Beautiful roots! And everyone's happy! Nice goings on!
I wish I would have grabbed pics of the Ghost Train. That had some impressive roots!

Hope you're having a lovely Sunday Stone.

Absolutely beautiful !!

That's the type of roots we get excited for here at DYNOMYCO!

Keep it up :peace:
Glad to hear that I'm not the only one excited about roots! :laughtwo:
Your plants are looking good VG.

I was listening to one of the KiS Organic’s pod casts. He said he likes a basic soil mix of 20% EWC, about 33-34% perlite and the rest peat moss, so I think you got it just about right.

Nice looking roots. Do you score them before planting?
My mix is very similar. Probably has a bit less perlite in it. Playing it safe may pay off!

I do tease the roots a bit when I transplant. I don't want them to keep circling and instead search out new areas of the rhizosphere right away.
Three beauties, stellar roots, and not a single mention of any leaf discoloration...I gotta say it is a good day!
There is a little bit on the Sirius Black but she looks like she is rebounding now. I had a nap today. It was a good day for that. It snuck up on me though. Was just snuggling with the pooch on the couch. He has a way to knock me out with his rythmic snoring and radiating warmth.

Highya Bode.
There is a saying...
'Fake it until you make it'.
That's what I'm doing!
I have a lot of reading to do. I'm not really satisfied unless I know what is happening and why. I've always been annoyingly inquisitive and have spent much of my adult life reading.

I am happy, smoking!!!
:passitleft:

Lol. Yes, it does sound like family.
I've gone no contact with most of mine.

I think it's both. Organic soil premixed at the store is pretty moist when you get it. I assumed that they were keeping the microbes alive and not just making a breeding ground for fungus gnats. They need their product to be ready to feed right away.
Don't expect that a lot of folks would buy something that gives yellow plants right off the bat.
I probably don't have the luxury of doing that with my GDP I'm transplanting next but in the future I think kickstarting the soil pre-transplant could change things for the better in my grows.

I was nervous mixing a simple soil for these girls. I think starting off with an uncomplicated mix is the best approach for me. I can get overwhelmed easily. I think the additions of @DYNOMYCO and Earth Alive are paying off!
Looks like it's working....

@Atreum Lighting Ara-41 480 watt fixture is 30,000 lux at the canopy. I'm not pushing them too hard and they aren't stretching too much.
The driver on this fixture is sizeable so it does put off some heat. I asked Atreum what kind of cord they use so I could get a longer one and place the driver outside of the tent. I have ac in this room. It should help with my situation in the tent. It's not terrible in there but it is warmer than I like to run. I like to keep as many terpenes intact as possible and growing in cooler conditions helps with that.
Atreum reminded me that they are one of my sponsors and that they would just send one out to me.
Real nice people.

The @Weed Seeds Express chickies don't look half bad.
The Sirius Black still needs to be topped. I'll do that tomorrow-ish.
She was the last to be transplanted so she's a bit yellow yet. Takes some time for those roots to hook up I guess.

I'm expecting a delivery from my sponsor @GeoFlora Nutrients. I guess the original package was damaged and returned to them.
I hope it comes soon. I'm almost out of the veg formula. It's all of those clones and mom plants. They just gobble the stuff up.

I would really like to try their product in my outdoor veggie garden. If they send enough perhaps I'll do a few tomatoes or pepper plants. I bet it would do a stellar job on leafy greens.

That's it for the quick-n-dirty. Hope y'all are well and enjoying the little things in life.
There can be beauty in even the smallest of things. Don't take them for granted.
Great work mate!! A++ for the effort :thumb:

Hey y'all.
Ghost Train Haze and Skywalker Og Day# 45 since sprout.

Thr Skywalker looks a bit droopy this morning. I think it's the sudden drop in rh.
Mr.Froggy made some really strange sounds a few days ago. I'm going to try to fix him but he's been running for almost three years straight. It may just be his time to retire.
I ordered myself a new fancy humidifier. It should be much easier to clean and I won't have to take it out if the tent to fill it either. I'm always afraid of dropping them on my plants and in fact did once.
The new one is a top-fill unit with a stone filter so I can use tap water without issue. It is also programmable so I can keep my rh in check much easier. I can even turn off the display so it goes completely dark. Stupid thing even has a remote that I doubt I'll use.
I know, I seem way too excited for a new humidifier. Look what growing has done to me! :laughtwo:
Back to the plants.

Day#39 for the Sirius Black. She went from the runt to looking quite nice.

All the ladies in the club!!!

I had a delivery yesterday. :slide:
A couple of 8lb bags of Veg and Bloom as well as some desperately needed 1/2 gallon and 3 gallon GeoPots!
Thanks to my sponsor @GeoFlora Nutrients !!!
Just in time for this week's feedings!

I went out and picked up a dedicated set of measuring spoons and cups. I didn't realize until I got home and opened the package that they were missing both 1/3 cup and 1/3 tsp. What the f...!?!

They all look like winners, VG!

Can you PM me more info. about your new humidifier? It sounds like something I could use.

To me they are all lovely looking plants in the morning. :yummy: Nice care V.G.
I was smiling this morning when I opened the tent. Then it smelled a bit poopy and my smile faded a bit but not fully. It's always like that right after topdressing day. Maybe not the best type of nutrients for a bedroom grow.
It reminds me of my grandpa's farm
(fresh dairy air...derrière?)so I get used to it pretty fast.
It only stinks for a day or two and if you're running carbon, then it doesn't really stink at all.
I'm sure that you're familiar.

Cool looking humidifier, right? Lol

I hope this grow will be a bit of an improvement over the first run with Geo. I also hope to find a @$#& 1/3 cup measure. I just happen to favor 3 gallon pots.
Stupid Murphy and his stupid"law".
Why did this measuring set not come with one!?!? Why!?!?
I'm ok..... Pinky swear.

The plants are looking happy as pigs in [nutes that smell like] shit! And congrats on the new bags and bags. Noice. :)

FTFY
My poor feet....I blame gravity.
I'd better knock on wood. It's been a few weeks since my last incident.

Guess that my grows are going from tan to black. I've only had tan GeoPots until now except for the 1/2 gallons. I already have a couple of those. They are my favorite pots of any that I've used.

I'm grateful to have some new ones. I've put the tan ones through a lot and they've held up beautifully. I just didn't have enough of them since I'm growing mostly in 3s these days.
I've had to wait on transplanting a few times until a pot is freed up. This should help a lot.

Yeah, it is! Please let me know how it works for you. :Rasta:
I got it today.
It's super fancy and seems to be working well.
I will post a little info about it on my main journal (first link in my signature) a bit later.
I didn't realize that it had a temp readout on it or a five year warranty.
My last one had a 60 day warranty.
Hi V! Chickies are looking lovely!
They have been missing the humidity.
They still look good but they seem a bit droopy from the sudden change.
Hopefully the new one will perk them back up a bit.

:passitleft:
I've had a busy day. Time to chill.

They do so much better with a RH in the zone!

Someone screwed up...
Just a little. All is not lost.

So I think I had a brain fart about five days ago. I turned my light down for pics and then back up. The issue is that I adjusted to full it without thinking. This isn't my old HLG but I adjusted it like it was....ugh.
I had 480 watts going in my 2x4. I think I was only at around 280-300 before.
You can see from the following pics that the Skywalker Og and the Ghost Train Haze took it the worst and look a bit washed out. The Sirius Black looks fine to me.

They should green up over the next few days and them I'm flipping. I don't want to wait any longer.

Highya VG,

I thought I was the only one who could think up new ways to screw up!! HaHa. They look fine to me! I'm sure they'll straighten out now that you turned the light down. No harm, no foul! Happy Smokin'
