I did do some reading on GTH when I started this grow and I think you could do better with her if you remember that this strain likes warm temps and low (40% or below) humidity. I had neither so she had a bit of a struggle at times.
When I grow her again I'll run her with compatable strains and get a better haul.
I'll also probably run her during the winter when my heat is on constantly. It gets super dry and warm in my room.

SB should have some great looking buds. I agree.

Wonder how bad she will be to trim?
I'll be making dry ice keif or bubble hash with the fans. It will be my first attempt at it but I have plenty of folks around here that I bet are willing to help me.
I did see that. Well, all three of these strains claim to like the "Mediterranean" climate that so many seedbanks believe tell you what the hell that means. Lol. I live as far south in this country as pretty much you can, so warmth is never an issue. However, keeping the humidity that low WHILE the temps are say in the 78-82 degree range is a different story. My current dehumidifier will definitely NOT do that. So I'm gonna have to up my dehumidifier game, but that's doable. Thanks for the heads up. I would prefer to always have this capability anyway, so now I have an excuse. In theory though, all three strains are environmentally compatible. As I said, I am stupidly breaking my own rule cuz I get bored with one strain so fast, and it's especially dumb since I have enough multiples of seeds to do a dedicated grow with any of these strains. Lol. But hey - it's more fun this way. If I wanted complete autopilot I can spend way too much money on one of those idiot "put the seed in and go away and in four months you have a perfect plant" machines with the rollers and crap. Gimme a break. The worry is part of the fun! Besides, I like to test my skills to see where I'm at. So we'll see soon enough if I actually learned anything on this last grow or not. Lmao.

I know you weren't intentionally trying to be funny but the conversation is.
I have some "personality quirks" that some find tragic, hilarious or annoying.
One of them is my aversion to bananas. I'll often give other growers a hard time if I see a banana plant in their grow. It's all in good fun I can assure you.
I expect them to retaliate accordingly.

My other and much more serious issue is caterpillars. I thought I should mention this now. I have PTSD from them and just seeing a pic of one will send me into a panic attack. Not joking at all.
I have even thrown my phone across the room in an involuntary fit. It's not a pretty sight.

:Namaste: Always looking out for me.

Close actually.

Hey darlin'.
I only found the one this morning. I'll keep a lookout though. May not have seen it at all if it wasn't for two things. It was on a purple plant and now having a scope.

The Skywalker is gonna have some porn-worthy buds. I can wait for the photoshoot! She has a bit of a blue tint creeping in. Contrasts beautifully with the green and rust.

I'm trying to keep her going but she's yellowing pretty fast despite my best attempts to alleviate the situation using supplemental feedings. I'm having the same issue with the GTH and to a much lesser extent the SB.

Guess I'll enjoy the fade...
Buds are gonna be fantastic.
They are flopping all over from the bud weight.

Looks like o even have a little color on the GTH.
Really happy with my @Weed Seeds Express girls!!!
Sorry about your rather humorous and unfortunate freak out things. Mine are more like spiders and sharks - things that could potentially actually kill me. Lol. Maybe you were super potassium intolerant in a former life and died from eating a ban-n-. As far as the C word, I like them but much prefer them after they leave the cocoon. They make good bait, I can tell you that. If it would help you, next time I skewer one on a hook I'll send a picture. :laughtwo:

Grand Daddy Black is one funny dude.

Sorry for all the above, but I couldn't resist. Lol!

Those machines aren't worth their weight imo. You can grow one plant and some of the grow capsules (or whatever you want to call them)can cost $1200.
I could set up quite a grow space with that much cash.

I don't necessarily get bored with a strain. I either keep it for meds or move along and never grow it again. I have way too many strains that I'd like to grow out.
I have to be close to 90 or 100 by now.
I have to think that there is some hidden magic just waiting to be sprouted. I've found one magical (for me) migraine reliever that I'm growing for the second time. Just dropped a seed yesterday. I have to keep that one in rotation.

Make sure that if you are using any type of carbon that you aren't running it at rh over 70%. It will saturate the carbon and put strain on your extraction fan motor. Not sure if you were aware or not?

There are very poisonous c-pillars in this world. Just makes them that much more vile.

if the last yr and a half hasn't taught you there are super small things that can kill you nothing will ...

edit : to be fair, the bananas have to evolve a bit to take over. the martians may get there first ... :p

Highya VG,

I'm surprised by your statement about caterpillers. Julie is deathly afraid of them also! I was very surprised when I first found out. Since then, I clear the way so she doesn't get so jumpy outdoors! Happy Smokin'

Thanks very much. No, I haven't yet graduated to CO2. That's next. I have to move after this grow and then I'll be in a more permanent space. CO2 system is my first order of business. I know I will never get the big fat amazing buds I dream about until I'm using it. The max ppm you want to shoot for, as I understand it, is around 1500 ppm, yes? (I also assume there's a lot of strain specific in that number?)

as I understand it, is around 1500 ppm, yes?
nobodyhere ran it in his room, and he did this:
I turned on the CO2 at 1140 to charge the tent, let it get to 2500ppm, then turned the tank off. Still above 1000ppm. Vents off and temps got to 86 in tent and 79 outside tent with lights at 190w.
as well as mentioning this:
You can still burn bud using CO2. Plants will tolerate more heat and light wattage or ppfd.

What is 'manageable' and what is 'danger zone' in the temps yall see?

I would not rec anyone blindly run co2 inside a house unsupervised and without multiple monitors. These monitors cost quite a bit as well as a controller that is not a POS. A QB is cheaper than the shit needed to run co2. Not using a controller or monitor, well It's a good way to die.

I run co2 firs thing in the morning and a couple times before lights out, then it's off for most of the day. Each time I turn it on, I cut the exhaust to the tent and let it steep for an hour or two, temps get to the low 90s. Plants look peachy, even happy. RH climbs and it starts raining. I then turn the vent on and crank it....afternoon temps low around 81-82. Overnight to the 70s in the summer.

Hope that helps.

A misunderstanding. I was talking about carbon filters for smell.
I have no experience with C02. My room doesn't get hot enough to justify the expense.

I run my girls on the cool side. High 60s to low-mid 70s. Plant esters and various other compounds start to volatilize at around 80 °. I try to keep them intact. Not the best for every strain but most do quite well.

THANKS. Yes that helps a lot. And I know it's an expensive thing to do safely. I have tons of research to do.

Ah, I see. I do the same with my temps. The Sour Apple hasn't and won't see 80 again now that she's no longer outdoors. Without CO2, my daytime is usually mid to upper 70s and night is mid to even low 60s in budding. In veg I keep the night/day a bit closer to one another. No need to cold them out at night during veg.

Duh that was my fault I didn't read closely enough. Yes I use carbon. But I wouldn't dream of having an RH of 70 after the first two weeks of the plants life under any circumstances. I never get near that once they have leaves. I like it between 55 and upper 60s max RH during veg after week 2, and I shoot for 35-45 during flower although I have not yet been able to achieve anything sustainable in the 30s. 43% is the best I could bud Sadie at and she did okay. But no, I did not know that and thanks, useful info in case the situation arises.

I like Julie more and more.
Thanks for taking care of the cater-ps for her. The struggle is real!
You have a new attitude! :goodjob:

Did you ever think you'd need taller bamboo? Nice looking plant, can't wait to see it upside down!
I did think that I would need taller bamboo right before I bought some. I have 6 footers that I cut down to 5.5 footers.

I have so many other things on my mind that enjoying a fade sounds less detrimental to my mental health.

I try to follow this VPD chart.

I often go 60-70% rh until flower. Then I drop it down based upon my temps.

but no butterflies without caterpillars ....
no cabbage moths either .. but still !

caterpillars are just misunderstood. the most chill alice in wonderland creature was the caterpillar, who knew enough to hang out on mushrooms all day. and pull hits from a water pipe when needed .. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Problem should be solved by this weekend.

The only thing that I watch the pistils for is to see how close the time when I should start scoping is.
Thanks for the recommendation on the scope. Hope I can figure it out. I am not really that tech savvy.

Especially on the Skywalker. She has loads of time.

Plus, if I harvest now I'm gonna miss the Sirius Black changing color.

The other @Weed Seeds Express chickies look pretty good as well....

Not that I'm playing favorites or anything. Lol

I'm not sure what my plans are after this run. I was planning on trying some more autoflower plants. It's something that I need to mull over for sure.
Amazing pictures mate!

I've picked up a few things over the last three years. Still consider myself a noob.

I'm ok with that. Butterflies are more disgusting than you think. They prefer rotten meat over nectar. Nectar is just more readily available to them.

You must be talking about Carroll's version.
The one from the Disney movie was an ill-tempered snob. He red-faced screamed at and abused a polite young girl.
0% chill.
In the novel he irritated her but I don't remember him being overly rude. A bit dismissive but he was talking to Alice, who could be a bit thick at times.

Amazing pictures mate!
I so pleased that you approve.
I've been working hard on these girls.
I can't wait for the big payoff at the end.
Harvest time is getting close.
