I think you got that turned around Meds ? The 3000k and 2700k are the warm white ones which are more red and the 6000k or 5000k are cool white and daylight which is more blue

My current and first grow is with only cfl and floro tubes . Now in week 9 of flower and using the warm white 2700 k bulbs and 2 58 w faylight 6500k tubes

Thanks for the input. I do have 2 5000K CFL bulbs on hand, but fear I'll push the breaker's limit. Lol

I may try it out though.

Worldgrow thanks. I had the numbers right and the color wrong. I went back and fixed that post. Here is the chart. 2700 or 3000 will give plant more stretch, help get them tops caught up.

Wow vex she's looking awesome, I love how she looks now she's growing up towards the light. The fan is a nice addition, will keep good airflow underneath that pretty looking girlie!

Trying to keep an even canopy is a chore. Lol

Yea, the oscillating fan was needed. May leave it there for now, sitting on an 8" fan. Big fan blows up, small fan spreads the air left and right. .

Revisiting my leaf issues. I read that too much Potassium can cause Magnesium lockout. I wonder if I should hold off on Mammoth P until Flower?

Haha, it most certainly is, but you're doing a great job of it pal. Looking nice and even to me. Can't wait to see some buds on her now.

Ahh nice, I like that, little fan spreading the air from the big fan. That's definitely going to give some good circulation.

I have also read that potassium can cause a lock out of magnesium, I don't know to much about mammoth p though, apart from its supposed to be great. Does it have a extra potassium in? I thought it was a sort of beneficial bacteria? I'm sure someone in this thread will be able to point you in the correct direction, fingers crossed!

Yes, I'm using Advanced Nutrients Sensi Base, Cal Mag Extra, and B52. Also using Mammoth P and Z7.

I stopped adding Voodoo Juice, Microbial Munch, and Rhino Skin, as I felt I had used them longer than recommended.

Maybe she just loved that previous nute mix? Lush. Lol

Vex, If you have not seen them, on You Tube search for "Harley Smith" has 3-4 videos on Nutes. Some of them are long but very interesting. If you ignore what they are selling, which does sound very good, there is some good tips and advice there that may help you make a decision.

It's been a battle, lol. I still have the 2 lower tops on the far left to work on. May just add my dual CFL bulb setup I had during seedling phase.


I'm really happy on how the middle 8 tops turned out. .

I think it would be impossible to keep them all dead even. Just look at all you had to do in veg to keep each side equal. All you can do is pull out all the tricks you can muster for encouraging growth on them and slowing others. Open up that bag of tricks lets see what you got. Hell a list of them here will keep my attention even more along with others I bet.

Let Tricks of Canopy Management 101 begin. Scissors for hair cut do not count.

* Decrease Blue light to area you wish to stretch more.
*Pinch stems of nodes you wish to slow down.

Thinking out loud here ..... Could a single strand from 110 stranded wire be rapped around the heavy growers to create a girdle. This could be unwrapped in a few days/weeks to let them grow again. This is not the place to try unless someone knows it works. But a thought.

The arms aren't long enough, unfortunately. If I unclipped them, they move in, smashing up against the farthest left middle tops. Lets see how they grow for the next 2 weeks....haha
