Vetsmoke's Mars Hydro Hempy Happening - Powered By The FC3000

8 weeks in. Decided to start them on the finishing products so they're only being fed active boost and dragonforce now. I love how frosty the Godfather OG and Platinum Cookies are.

Disaster struck on the Pungent Skunk. Lost the best part of a cola.😭 I knew it would happen. That cola wasn't getting enough airflow on it. Ah well, shit happens. I'll know for next time. This time of year in the garage is not easy to control humidity.

I was going for the Love reaction until you got to the mold. :(

What's left in there looks amazing and I hope it's smooth sailing from here on out. ⛵
If there's no more rot issues we'll still have more than enough. At least I got a really good smell of her after cutting that bud off. Beautiful. All I can describe it as is old school hash. Solid, as we called it. Nostalgic.

I still love it. :yummy:
At least you caught it when you did, could have been worse.
Exactly that. Things can always be worse. To be fair I could lose half the crop and still have enough weed to last. It's just a little annoying.

Thinking the garage isn't the place for my setup. Maybe start some autos out there in spring when it starts to warm a little. Think I'll go back to the walk-in wardrobe for the next run. Possibly just do two in soil in the 2X3 tent.

I have issues just the same my friend in doors.
I always push my space and in flower always need my dehumidifier.
I think if i left two ladies smaller in my space i wouldnt need it tbh.
Hope you caught it all still looking good :)

My humidity runs high and I counter it the best I can with fans. My sensors are up high, above the lights so they may read higher than in the canopy. The box fan beats the hell out of the limbs in front of it. The fan from above doesn't damage the tops cosmetically but I think it has blown some of the weaker limbs over but since the grow is thick they only bend so far before they run out of room to bend. I am on my 13th grow and only had bud rot once, and that was before the high mounted fan and I only got decent ACs last season. I also think the bud rot started from hot spots created by my HPS light killing some areas of bud. It occurred in the same area on different grows. Later I would LST the buds in that area and not let them get as close to that light.

No pics tonight as I was just too pissed off. Lost another chunk of Pungent Skunk and two of the Platinum Cookies tops. They just turned over night. Might have to pull some of these a bit early. I've added another fan I managed to find too. I scoped the Godfather OG a few days ago and she looked mainly cloudy.

Shite, that's a real bum deal Vet - fek, fek, and double-fek
I've only had that happen once or twice, but that's enough, gutting

I got a good dehumidifier that runs at 35w which I put by the intake - it was about a ton, but I've never had any problems since; also bought a 22w ionizer/carbon/HEPA filter which keeps the air really clean fo £30 on Zon
PM me if you are interested

Are you gonna try H2O2 soak and use it for edibles? Or just f*k it off in disgust, as I probably would?

I'll just sack it off. I don't need it all exactly so I won't bother with it. Frustrating but one of those things I guess. Lesson learnt.
Feel for ya vet.
A semi outdoor space like a garage this time of year is a challenge mate..hope you get them across the finish line.
Was hoping they'd have been done by now but they were a bit slow to get going. Thinking of setting up my little 40x40 tent alongside the 2x3 in the wardrobe, so I can get a couple of autos started while whatever survives this grow is drying in the bigger tent. Might squeeze in another harvest before Christmas then. Maybe.

I know you're pissed off mate, but I'd be wondering about the airflow setup
Is it drawing bottom to top?
I vaguely remember you saying there was a reason for the way you have it set up but I can't remember why

Sorry to hear about the rot Vet. :(

I don't believe H2O2 will kill botrytis:
"...the fungus was able to develop in the presence of quite high peroxide concentrations."

Decarbing for a long enough time might do it but that's a whole other question. I'd toss it like you would.
Cheers Shed - what is 'quite high'? :hookah:

That's why I posted the source link. ;)

"Spores of Botrytis cinerea can germinate in the presence of up to 180 mM hydrogen peroxide and its mycelium can develop in the presence of even higher concentrations.

"The concentration of the hydrogen peroxide solution used in all the experiments (Merck, 30% medical extra pure, stabilized) was determined by titration with KMnO4 as described by Meiattini [9]. The concentration of the 30% hydrogen peroxide solution, determined by titration, was 6.4 M."

:ciao: Shed
Sorry but I don't understand any of that, I just spray it on mold and watch it fizzle away

It's drawing from fairly low. The intakes are setup like that to avoid light leaks. I think it's just too cold and damp in the garage now.
Best get the seeds soaking then..chop chop.
What strains you got in mind?
Think I got a few auto seeds at product earth so will have to look back and see what they were.
