Really good turn around Vet. It is nice it is clearly on the mend, did you reach any conclusions on what the cause of the failing leaves was, and what the primary correction factor has been?

I think the bottom feeding was causing a build up of salts and an anaerobic situation in the media. I was chatting to my hydro shop guy at the weekend and he doesn't think the Autopots are great. Said the bigger ones are alright with soil and they're good for veggies but not great for what I was doing. It was worth a try.

I'm seriously considering biting the bullet and cutting a hole in the ceiling to run the extraction ducting out into the loft. I reckon it would make my humidity management quite a bit easier and remove some noise from the cupboard. Shouldn't be too hard to patch up when we leave.

Feed now is 5 litres with 2.5ml calmag, 5ml each of A&B, 5ml boost & 2.5ml PK.

Good idea you know thats how i got my setup going.
I vent out to loft and in frrom loft.
As i have an old gas fire flute/ducting to vent in from.
Both 6 inch fans are in the loft and flitter.
It helps alot i would not manage without it how i sqeeze things in.
The min i hit 12/12 and they get 12 hours of dark that r/h starts a rising.
Still have the cut outs ready to put back up.

Yeah I think I'll have to do similar. The Mrs isn't keen on me cutting any holes so I might have to settle for just venting up there. Will make a difference though I'm sure. I need to get up there and see what power outlets are available to plug the fan in. Job for the weekend.

I'm talking myself out of buying a new tent and just working with what I've got. I have 5 tents of various sizes and don't need to be storing more.

I am thinking I could spend a little money more wisely setting up a drip system for coco and a good method of catching and clearing run-off. I have most of the bits needed from the hempy grow I did. I do want to run coco a few more times before deciding on which media to settle with.

I'm also thinking about minimising my growing activities. We don't consume anywhere near as much as I'm producing and it's going to waste. Plus I'm getting a bit more paranoid about it with my 10 year old starting to notice things. I can explain stuff to him but he has a big gob and might let something slip. A few small autos should produce enough and give the variety I like to keep. I might even just run one decent sized plant of something I know I like, with a couple of micro plants of new strains to try.

To add. What I don't like about coco is the amount of waste water and nutrients.

I went for it and cut a hole in the ceiling today. Now venting into the loft. I can already feel the difference in the room without the warm humid air venting out into it. Temp and rh has dropped in the tent too. Much better. I'm contemplating putting a filter either end. My fan is only ever on setting 3 or 4 and I think it goes up to 7. Would have to work a bit harder but I think it will handle it. Will have to see how loud the fan is at the top speed though.

Anyway, here's some assorted pics from tonight. Reckon I could lower the nutrients?

I did. But I've seen a handy trick to filling the hole using a cut out of new plasterboard. Cut it carefully out of a square piece and keep the paper on one side. It's like a smooth patch then and is easy to skim over and paint. Hopefully as easy as the video made it look.
