The posts come in different sizes, 3 and 5 feet I think. I use the 3 foot version but those are incorporated into the fence itself.

I like them because they're a sturdy base to tie the uprights to. And the cross pieces can be set to whatever height I want them and can easily slide them up and down to where I need them.

Ok gotcha, I’m taking notes and preparing for a design.

You’ve been working hard it this week
Yeah brother getting the setup dialed. I got lots and lots of condensation and precipitation obviously from the 2 side openings, it’s not a fully enclosed greenhouse so I can expect high high RH, the hope is on having so many plants going at the same time they will soak up most of the RH… I yet to find out.

I got keep working but pretty happy where it’s at.

How you doing bro?

Put a exhaust fan high in one of the gables , it will suck a lot of Rh out, you’d be amazed
Yeah I got 3 of the bathroom exhaust vents I’m gonna okay around with, I can have them 24/7 moving air out.

It’s gonna get real equatorial in here once summer gets going.

What's your plans for when it starts to get hot outside

Major swing in RH,
Yeah, I been checking the numbers at 6 in the morning 5-7 Celsius and 80-90 RH, mid day it’s insane upper 30s and RH in the 30s and after 6 pm it slowly starts to go up again RH and temperature drops. So big swings but also the greenhouse is empty at the moment.
I have a fan going 24/7 moving air inside.

Let’s see what happens as days get longer and hotter.

Good question Joe, for now I can only guess it will be very hot and dry inside the greenhouse. But eventually there will lots and lots of plants (veggies and other), so lots more biomass needing more water and absorbing light so I wanna believe the RH won’t be so low when time comes, for the scorching heat I will have to open both doors and allow the air to flow. 1/3 of the greenhouse can be opened fully.
The most susceptible to change would be the cannabis, so I will have them in pots so I can dolly them around to give them a break from heat. Once I set up the trellis/screen I will have to figure that out since I won’t be able to move them.

There’s gonna be tomatos and peppers so we like the idea of really hot and dry.

Also Dani if you have Access to some scrap cars you can use the heater motors and electric fans off the radiators , hooked to a 12 volt batteries and a charger or solar panel to keep electric costs down, You can install a home dimmer switch to regulate speed and consumption

I've had a greenhouse for over 25 years & found a shade cloth works best, for the hot sun
Tomato won't set fruit, if too hot. To humid peppers won't set also
I have spray painted poly with chrome paint before , now use P auto white translucent tarps

Hardest part is keeping it warm when it's cold & cool when it's hot
I'll add to Jonny5, I have a 55-gal barrel of water in my greenhouse for a heat sink
Black plastic hose, that runs back & forth in the peak of my GH. Then I have a 12v windshield washer motor that pumps water thru & warms my 55 gal Also bunch of 5 gal pails of rainwater

@Jonny5 Trying to stay warm was -25c at night last few warmth is coming :woohoo:

Hey Dani boy, also as the summer gets hotter you can modify the sides to roll up 2-3 feet for ventilation and good air flow,,But she’s looking good brother, Your up and running,

Thank you guys, I am taking notes and all this will come handy, I have access to some scrap cars too, and possibly the cloth for the top of the greenhouse.

Have a good one
