BUUUUT... does your meter speak blurple? A white light meter gives misleading results at best with LED grow lamps--more like useless in my goofing around experiments.

Ahh I have my other lights on too the lamps and what not it may not be the most accurate tool but it's def brighter in here. I had to get sunglasses

Do protect your eyes. I noticed that even with my candy-ass little CFL grow I'd get google-eyed after fussing with the plants for a few minutes without my shades.

Yeah those pink lights are terribly harsh, another reason I love my leds. They aren't so bad. They sell special glasses for this though. Like 10 bucks on amazon. They have the kind that wraps around the side too, so you don't get that glare from the side.

I think that's what those expensive units I was drooling over the other night were. I'm really behind on my instruments...

All I know is led is measured in par where as all other light is measured in lux and lumens. But the same concept applies the higher the par the better.

That sounds about right. If I remember correctly, PAR is measured in moles of photons, which just blows my mind.
