Now, if you decide that saving that pollen is something you want to try, don't get the pollen wet. Collect it before you wash. The wetness will deactivate it.
What we do, is use 3 - 5 gallon buckets with r/o water. Tap water works just fine also. The first bucket is the wash bucket it gets 1 c. Baking soda and 1c. Lemon juice. The bottled lemon juice is fine. The next two buckets are for rinsing. You can have just one rinse, but two seems to help, especially if you use foliar sprays. The water shouldn't be too cold or too warm. We like a luke warm water.I've never heard of washing so i would love one.
