Your welcome buddy glad your back on track your going to have to water like that for now on its a pain in the a** i know but its worth it in the long run... next time just do what u did till you get some run off and please check your ppm if you can bc you dont wanna run into your soil getting hot..

Looking good buddy you might have to defoliate a lil bit the lower canopy atleast itll help with bud development do 10 leafs a day and you wont cause any stress at all and she will thank you for it

10 leaves a day?! That seams like a lot right? I’ve heard that the plant stores necessary shugars in the leaves. Ive heard of defoliating leaves (I’ve taken off at least 20 leaves since seed). But you’ve been right so far.

Dont plan on flushing its a waste, me in abunch of other growers dont flush theres no need.. most who follow my journal doesnt flush read this thread follow the science not the hype..

A critical look at preharvest flushing

Buds do not take up nutrients. The plant uses the nutrients you give it to create the sugars that the buds use to bulk up and create the weight that you want at harvest. There is no logical reason to starve your plant just when it should be producing the biggest buds. It's the dry and the cure that create the smoothness and the taste that people think is created by flushing.

Now for 10 leafs till you get light penetration towards lower branches is not going to hurt at all.. autos dont mind defoliation just have to go slow with it... but if you like popcorn kernal size buds instead of golf ball size buds on lower branches then leave the leafs lol...but she will explode on her bottom canopy with about 20 leafs gone if it makes you fill better do 5 a day till you get to 20 leafs cut off in if not enough do 5 more mine loved defoliation and was thanking me for it... read the article i posted science doesnt lie..........

Awesome! I will keep all of that into consideration. What you said about not flushing makes sense honestly .

I defoliated 10 yesterday and five today. But I started from the bottom going up. There were a lot of leaves at the bottom that weren’t getting any light so I figured those were the best to go first. What do you think?

Id work around in the middle but id stop around about 25 leafs in then do it again in about another 2/3 weeks

Harvest is in 3 weeks. Just started week 7 today. I’m pretty sure the life span of an auto is like 9 weeks right?

I wouldnt count on that 3 weeks... id aim more towards 4/5 weeks till harvest!!! the breeders never get it right its always extended by 2 weeks if not more..buy you a 10x magnify loupe like what i use i can send you the link for it if you like? the trichomes let you know when to harvest never go by what the breeders say its always wrong ....your environment is toatally different from theres and your watering schedule and everything , they cut it shy for a selling point! so you think you will have bud quicker its a selling point for them and thats how they market there flowering times all mine where extended for 2 weeks and judging by your last pics you posted you have way more then 3 weeks my friend i promise you on that and youll want more time more time means bigger buds bigger buds equals more jars..

So I’ve taken of about 20 leaves total. How long before I can defoliate again. I plan on harvesting on Jan 4th (beginning of week 10). My ppm meter is broken but my runoff was 6.2 ph. I’m gonna get a new one.

Run off ph doesnt matter bc its gonna be totally different from what the soil actually is.. id buy sometime to check trichomes too

I’ll buy a 10x jewlers loop. That do you think about my last question. I’ve taken about 30 leaves off (there’s still a lot of leaves left). How long should I wait to defoliate again?

I have a 20x I think. It was very cheap like 5$ but I’ll post the best quality pics I can find.

When your checking dont look at the leafs look at the calyxes itself.. youll have to play with it and zoom in on your phone thats why i really like my microbrite i can get 20 trichomes in the view window and get a perfect look at them like as if im a piss ant sitting on the bud looking at them lmaoi wouldnt touch the buds to much your still atleast 4 weeks away from harvest your hairs havent even started to turn yet.. the more you touch the buds the more terpenoids you lose and the potency is killed also.. get us some pics bro id like to see her??

I don’t do lights out. I’m on a 24 hour light schedule since it’s a auto. I’m in a miracle grow potting mix. I’ve heard it not the best but it’s been working great up till now. I also raised my lights about 8-10 inches and turned humidity up from 55% to 65%. Nothing has really changed. The twisted growth hasn’t grown at all since I’ve noticed it.

I used MG when I started and it worked great, till the fungus gnats moved in. (hence the curling leafs) the only thing that worked was a 1 inch layer of play sand on top, cuz the gnats live and lay their eggs in the soil...good luck and they look good
