Twelve12's Perpetual Grow

Journal Update:

After got the new veg area up between the two flowering tents, I turned the closet into the flowering room. This time I want to try the ScrOG (Screen of Green) with two plants; Hammerhead and Pineapple Chunk. Flipping to 12/12 in two weeks. First time running this setup so will see how it goes.

Also got the ATA Tundra, Early Queen, Super Lemon Haze, and Super Skunk sprouted for the next batch. These will become mothers in 1 month. They are chilling with the clones from the current flowering plants.

Looking good - cool picture of your bloom rooms and the temporary veg space. I like the new name, but I keep getting confused. I'll get it eventually. ;)

man the grows looking great bro. I'm about to add another 600w to my veg room to replace the T5. Hoping for some more bulk from that

That 600w will kick ass. More light = more nutes = more growth!

They're looking nice bro. How's the red dragon coming along? I hope she's having a good recovery.

Not sure how long it takes for the recovery to kick in. I have flushed it with fresh water only, and then added in cal-mag. Still budding nicely.

I like the temporary space how it reminds me of New York City where two side buildings are big while the middle one is small, like it's taking up the available space and put it to good use. So I decided to veg the top only with 3 mothers; 1024, Grapefruit Diesel, and Cheese. While the clones on 5-tier storage shelves system outside of that, and each layer with its own T12 light with few weeks older than the previous tier. Closing in the perpetual to harvesting every 2 weeks.

twelve! dont know why its taken me so long to get over here!
things are looking good brother! love the side by side ... and the mini veg..... and the NEW MOTHER SCROG..... and the SOG... and the FIM... and the LST.... DAMN!
did i miss any of them! you have a serious grouping of experiments going on... im IN!

keep up the good work!
:peace:

Twelve12! Great setup bro! I'm gonna follow along

It's going to be a long ride. Lots of stuff going on. Getting the clone shelves up next week. Need it to preserve the strains collection and new addition. usually I get 5-8 new strain each month. That reminds me, time to research on what to grow next. Oh yes!

Hey shaggie, welcome to my secret operation. Yes, got lots going on. Will play with hydro next month. Waiting for the Super Lemon Haze to be ready so I can chop it and make room for new experiment. So far, I like all the different methods. Setting up the clone section soon, waiting for the 5-tier shelve to arrive. Got a really good deal on it.

Journal Update:

It seemed that my garden have bugs. Every plants has leaves with white spots on them. Thought it was deficiency or pH issue, but it's them bugs!!! They are very small to see but I caught them in action. Munching away at it. Going to spray all the plants down with some neem oil. Bought it long time ago for a day like this. These are from the Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil mix. Always had them but never knew they multiplied that fast and now on the plants. They were always on the top layer soil. So thought it wasn't a big deal. Now they moved up...

Anyone using FFOF soil mix experience something similar? This time the bug issue is red alert. Thought about cooking the soil before using them, but the heat will also kill micro organism too...anyway, neem oil time!

any chance of getting a pic?
do they fly? if so probly white flys
i hope your not dealing with spider mites
i never had any problems with my FFOF.... well i did after it had been sitting in the shed all winter.... it had fungus flys

i hate saying this as i hope its not... but your description sounds like spider mites..... neem oil is good for small infestations.... but i would definitely recommend getting some azamax the other thing i would recommend just adding overall in your hydro sets is SM 90..
it was created to fight Spider mites making the plant taste bad to them.... and the plants like it aswell we just run it in the rez all the time through flowering.

seems like everyone is having pest problems all at the same time.....

Yes, I scanned the leaf at high resolution. Hope you can see it. Was on top of the leaf then it moved towards the back. This is the back side. Not sure what type of bug this is. Sprayed the plants with neem oil this morning. Going to spray again in 3 days for two weeks to get rid of it.

looks like a white fly to me....or a thrip Larvae.....if its only crawling than its the latter
i doubt it is a spider mite from the pic.
might go to you local hydro store and pick up some azamax or one of the SNS lines..
neem works to suppress IME.. the azamax is a neem Based pestiside and the SNS lines are just wonderful.

Wow twelve12, you have a kick ass setup!!! I am aiming for something very similar, once I start to get back some of my initial investment money... Really like how you have HID, T5 and LED lighting!! I really want to get into LED lighting so hopefully by the time im ready to commit, the prices will be lower and technology even better, I really would like to see more on the sulphur plasma light market as well...seems to have much promise!!

Thanks again for stoppin thru my journal and sharing your advice, comments and positive vibes!!! I feel bad I missed out on the last 7 pages of your journal, I will have to catch up soon...

Thanks for stopping by. Got the screen up hope mine turns out as good as yours. I like the screen a lot even though I just got them in last week. It will be a permanent method for a piece of the garden. Great! Once you get your cash from your stash it's upgrade time. LED is very pricey, will definitely have to save up. I'm planning on getting a 300w LED to replace the 600w hps by the end of the year. Hopefully LED price will go down a bit for us. Sulfur Plasma light you say? Will have to keep a look out for that!

Journal Update:

The two mothers are filling in the screen as the days goes by. I'm extending their growth by bring down the branch allowing the side to become the main colas. Giving another week before flipping to 12/12. During the first few weeks they will continue to stretch, then flower. Usually don't show any pistils until after 10-14 days from 12/12. First time running this setup, got high hopes for this.

The mini veg area (part of the trio action pack) only contain the top shelve slot for 3 mothers; 1024, Cheese, and Grapefruit Diesel. Going to veg these for additional two months then put them under scrog in one of the flowering tents. For now, 2 clones per plant are taken every 2 weeks.

600w hps flowering tent has Super Lemon Haze, Tangerine Dream, and Red Dragon at different stages. This tent has two grow methods; soil hempy, and 2L SOG. The 2L grow slow for me, they've been under 12/12 for a month now and barely just starting to show pistils, while the Red Dragon in 2L is 2 weeks in. They are almost as tall as the matured plants in the soil hempy buckets.

Tangerine Dream. The first run of this strain had light leak and did not finish flowering but was frozen in time between veg and bloom. This is its clone. Flowering nicely, took a while to jump start bloom now she's taking off steady.
MG_0573.jpg

Red Dragon. Low yielded. This one is for personal smoke. Will finish in 3 weeks.
MG_0574.jpg

Super Lemon Haze. Always love this strain. Got a few more in 2L SOG. Then, that's the end of this cycle. Starting a fresh SLH in seed form and will reintroduce the strain again in 3 months. Got 4 SLH plants and they will be ready in 3 weeks.

LED flowering tent. This one I want to try flowering one unit per plant. Pineapple Express and Vanilla Kush! These plants had their LST/Topping/FIM a while back, and it is paying off each plant having 16-20 even top colas. They're in 2nd week of bloom.

Clones and seedlings. My strain collection. Super Lemon Haze, 1024, Hammerhead, Vanilla Kush, Pineapple Express, Pineapple Chunk, Cheese, Grapefruit Diesel, ATA Tundra, Early Queen, Super Skunk, Afghan Kush, Heavy Duty Fruity, Grape God, and Top 44. Adding 5-7 more next month. I like to keep a cycle of different flavors while always have the patient's fav at all harvest.

Next week I'll be working on the clone station to properly grow and train the youngsters into LST beast.

Thanks for tuning in.

The tangerine dream, red dragon, and slh are looking good. My last grow I had a plant that was similar to the red dragon that did not yield so well, but was some good smoke. Wish i would have taken a clone when i had the chance. The red dragon might yield low but might be some great smoke in the end.

Sup PT, I decided not to grow Red Dragon anymore for 2011. Taking up space and not yield enough. Going to try other strain and see how they work out. I will try Red Dragon again in 2012 during the Winter months. Will LST/Topping/FIM combo and a veg for 2 months. What was the strain you grew was similar to my Red Dragon in yield?

The strain was special K from Royal Dutch Genetics, and its a cross of OG Kush and Northern Lights. It had a strong citrusy aroma and taste to it, and had at lot of resin too. Funny thing about it is that in the description of the strain, it say it was a big yielder but not in my case.

Special K? Awesome. Yeah, the description for mine also said it's a big yielder too! I guess my grow is not optimal enough to provide for its full potential. Do you still have that plant in flowering? You can re-veg it after the harvest, and take clones from it once again. That's what I'll be doing for the Red Dragon. Don't want to buy another seed so will just re-veg it into mother once again.
