Tweed/Spectrum Cannabis Variety Karolyn

That all looks great! What did the outside plants do? And I love how they are cleverly disguised as ferns!
I’ll assume you mean in weight? Well I did lose the big haul to some bud rot. But let’s say that harvest was in 2017 and I’m still picking away. I personally for whatever reason that seems unpopular prefer indoor smoke a lot more than outdoor. No clue why, it makes no sense to me. Soo I like to use it for edibles.

Big argument over what is better indoor or outdoor. Both are great. In the end being able to control everything in a grow room gives it the advantage. The advantage is only there if you keep that indoor environment right.

I prefer indoor because outdoor here is a pain in the ass LMAO.

We have maybe 4 frost free months here so indoor has really been the only way. The auto's however should work here in the summer, so I am going to have one ready for the middle of May and see what happens.

So Spectrum/Tweed is going to resume selling seed, they just had to repackage for the new regulations. Here in Canada at my local pot store I can get a Tweed Sativa called Donegal, that is a 20% thc and one of the very few varieties that can still give an old frequent flyer like me the giggles! 15 g for $118 Canuk Bucks. So not to bad. What does this have to do with the Karolyn variety? Well, as they sell it as proprietary, and the Karolyn seems well adapted for a commercial low maintenance grow, it occured to me that maybe the Karolyn was the same plant as the Donegal, and while I have no real proof I did find this:

HouseofNames: Name Histories, Coats of Arms & Family Crests karolyn: The Irish name Karolyn claims descent from the O'Connors in Donegal where " Carlan" (from the Irish "carla" meaning a "wool-comb" and "an" meaning "one"...

Most likely its just owned by some Irish descendants honouring their heritage but now I am really looking forward to harvest to compare!!

This Girl continues to amaze me.... @ 23 days from flip.

So Tweed/ Spectrum has resumed selling this seed, so I am going to order some to set aside as it's quite the sativa!

Looking great. Very nice strain from the looks of her.
Yeah, she's now getting quite pungent, and sticky, especially late in the day when the room goes to 80F. Very well suited for my lazy a** style of growing as she has basically filled in a square meter, reasonably level, without me doing much of anything other than tipping her twice.

Karolyn @ 5 weeks from flip. 113 days old. Clones well, and is easy to pick out of the crowd!

hello! I have been trying to decide if it was worth it to pick up these seeds(lack of information sucks) I wonder if you are near me and would consider trading a few? I am South GTA (I have 3 i am working with currently)

Hi Arkem, I am a flatlander from the Queen City, and not close. I am told that Tweed will be selling seed in their stores soon, and if you're a medical grower with Tweed/Spectrum, you can order some there as they have resumed selling. I am very impressed with this variety as it really suits my style of growing, and as you can see above, one plant can really produce!! I only have two seeds left and I am ordering another three in case they stop selling it or I have to ditch the mother!

Some updates, @ 6 weeks pistils turning, buds are swelling a lot, some 1/4 inch in diameter. Having to run strings as some buds are to heavy to support themselves, and there is 2-4 weeks left!!

So at a day shy of 7 weeks the Karolyn is almost done!! Milky trichomes with some brown on the uppermost and largest buds! Another reason I supsect this is one of their product lines as finishing in 7 weeks is awesome! I actually like to harvest a bit bright, I figure why wait till there is brown trichomes that is already converted from thc to cbd, unless cbd is what your after. Only thing is its just been a week on the flush so I will wait at least another couple days.

I decided to go with Spectrum as my Legal provider as well, pretty limited. Out of the 3 diesel 1 cracked . they gave no warranty and the conversation stopped there. on the bright side the plants are now huge. I just ordered The karolyn CBD to harvest for oil. Really hope they turn out as nice as those examples.IMO its pretty ridiculous they dont want to give strain information. Like its a secret sauce. I wonder if tweed knows that there are actively thousands of seed companies and the more info the better for the consumer. Sometimes i think that these illuminati have hearts , but then i just have a chuckle. Nice plants !
