Tryan2grow1 Second Time Grow - Autos In DWC With Mars-Hydro LED

Since the NL was positioned to the north this opened up the middle. The Blue Mystic was LST'd due north. In fact the top of this lady is dead center square.

Looking good so far brother. I do gotta ask why the cfl lights? The mars is good for two plants easy. Those Lil lights don't really do anything they gotta be like an inch away or some kinda crap. Seems like a waste of energy . if I was you I would grab another 96 and rock 4 of those if u had room

For sure another led is in the works. But as far as room in this tent for more than 2 plants, would need to purchase a new tent. Here is my stinkin' thinkin' for using the cfls. This led light as great as it is pulls 207watts from the wall. Adding the four cfls @ 40 watts each adds an additional 160 watts. These run only pennys a day to run. Heat is a bigger concern. This pushes my watts per square foot from 38 to 67. Those added photons must be of assistance. My growth goal is to at least get .5gr/watt. This would put my dry yield goal at approx 6.5 oz or 183 grams. This method was used on my virgin grow and produced exactly this amount. And you are soooo correct that the daily positioning of the lights is a major pain. So thru this next phase of growth the cfls are being put to use. Perhaps the last month or so without them to allow for a real nice swing in cooler temps. Any and all input on this train of thought for putting these cfls into service greatly appreciated. Thanks to all for following along.

Ive never used them personally . I have seen people use the huge ones and get actually good results . but they are made for growing . the ones like a foot long bent around a 90 degree angle. I dunno about true Watts of the lights your using or the k of them. Spectrum matters. I just can see those lights being close in power to leds . think about it . you have to have light intensity for a plant to thrive.

These cfls are of the spectrum for flowering at 2700k. There is also an inventory here of the veg bulbs in the 5000k but they only put out 20watts. This was the lighting that was used thru the entire veg stage on grow 1. The led was not added until the plants were in flower. Their proof of concept has been witnessed here. Mars recommends additional side lighting in the form of their bar lighting for the corners. Cfls are my supplemental lighting at this juncture. At least until the scrog fills in. BTW, nice set up onewarrior.

Ty very much I planned and built her myself. Now Heres a hint for ya . bloom time those lights need to be at 12 inches to make hand generates. Trust me . Another 96 won't hurt that spot put them side by side . that plant was 13 inches tall and I got a qp dry I swear haha

The lights I dunno nobody can sell me on them . it took everything I had to go led then cob went off. Im sticking with what I have now . and the pics was with a 400 watt hps. I have a thousand now !! Evil pigheaded laugh

Yeah man looking great!! You going to start bending and tying to your screen?

The decision to add this screen was late in coming. This time around the idea is to assist mostly with my height restrictions. For sure it is great for all colas to be the same height as per the ides of a scrog to begin with. The BM was going to give me problems with height but it was too late to top and train once this was realized. As of now the BM has a 90 degree bend to the right of the bucket in the photos. Her top now is a good 8 inches off center. All her tops have been pulled thru the screen. On each plant a few ties were needed the first day or so until the top took off in it's quadrant. After the res change tonight additional tucking was performed. Some tops need just a bit more growth before they will need any further tie down. There is a need to catch these tops at the right time for tucking for these stems harden faster than 2 minute epoxy. Thanks for looking in and participating in this adventure.

Performed the first res change with this screen in place tonight. By lifting the lid the bucket can be pulled forward allowing ample room to extract water, inspect the roots and of course replenish with nutrient rich water. No major malfunctions. The NL stats were again in the perfect range yet the chart did call for a res change with what the BM was hollerin'. Each res was lowered to 2 inches below the net pot. For no other reason than to give the roots a bit more air and that was all the RO water inventory. Gonna need to make up more. Especially with as much as these two drink already. It was much later in the first grow that this amount of water was consumed daily. This week's starting numbers are as follows: PPM 844 PH 6 Rock on team. Thanks to all for following along.

Maybe try a supercrop on 1 or 2 and see if you can twist tie down? That's a feel thing I'm assuming. Haven't tried that myself yet. Just a thought.

There was one top on my first grow that insisted on out growing all others. So it was supercropped. She was carefully rolled between the fingers until you can feel the stem getting mushy. Then very so carefully she was bent and tied. There is a close up in the first journal. For sure it works.

Small packages can sometimes have the largest affects. The Northern Light is trying her best to perform. Perhaps she'll have the spark plug syndrome, Big Bang at the right time. Check her out trying to get frosty. You might say she's flirting.

With the proper training, it is possible to fill up my 5.5sq/ft of space with one plant. One plant grown properly can surely produce just as much yield as two given the same square footage. Hmmm. Maybe next grow just one plant grown to the extreme. Thoughts anyone? And just a quick second to thank the 420mag community for all you do and contribute to this hobby.
