Troy's 2nd - Autos - DP Ultimate & Euphoria, Meph Alien v Tangle, RQS Diesel

Hey...you got silver reflectors.... I got white.....interesting. Their website says the white is more efficient...I wonder why.

Nice in there...if you get lost in there, I'll smoke my way in to save you. Or just use a drone to drop you a pipe, and a lighter.:ganjamon: :bongrip:

On my first COB - the 2X4 Kit came with the white reflectors (Extra Wide). My second COB setup I intentionally purchased the Wide Reflector.

The Extra Wide are White and the Wide are Silver. I purposely wanted the narrower angle for my individual controlled COBS as I have one over each plant and didn't want to concentrate my light into a smaller footprint.

Very impressive Troy
Those cobs are making a huge difference
The seedlings are looking great... filling in nicely

Thanks Hector. The COB lights seem to do a great job. I like that you can control the output. I cranked them up a little yesterday and think I see a little light burn on Carol - who is way in the back and not as tall as the canopy yet. I raise the light a little.

I think you meant you did want to concentrate your light into a smaller area to one plant..... I think I got that....and it makes sense. :thumb:

Yes ... you are correct. Not sure if I see much of a difference between the two to be honest. Maybe I should swap a couple out and see if it makes a difference. Actually I guess I could use my light meter and see.

With 6 plants (well technically 7 since I have a seedling in there) is too tight and will probably reduce the per plant yield.
I don't think it will affect your overall production, it may actually increase it as you are definitely using every square inch! How about an upward shot of your lighting setup?

I'm not sure how visible it is as I had to shut the lights off to take a picture.

I have one array with 5 COBS on a Frame.

I have 4 COBs - controlled by a separate driver that are individually hung so they can be adjusted individually for height and location.

Your garden has jungle fever, and the director is TRICH LEE...hahahaha

I think my new hope is Mrs. G rev1, she makes me think I can do anything, even when the odds are stacked against us.

:)

Believe me Lady G anything is possible even when the odds are against you. My daughter has survived 3 terminal illnesses an is kicking on all 4 cylinders after a transplant 15 years ago. I just thank my higher power for giving me lots of one more day at a time. She is the namesake of Alison way in the back. Slow started but kicking ass now.

Hey, thanks for posting those pix so quick! Not really familiar with cobs, I'm using a digital 600 w MH in a 16 sq foot space, how many watts do those lights consume in your 16 sq feet?

I'm running at about 50% and drawing 175 true watts for the 5 COB and 145 on the 4 Solos. If I go much higher I start burning the plants.

Picture of the COBS looking downward. I swapped out a couple wide angle for extra wide angle reflectors to see if it makes much of a difference.

Most of my lights are at about 18-24 inches from the tops of the plants. One thing you will learn with your COBS is the distance will also vary according to how high you have them cranked up. I would definitely make sure you buy a driver that is adjustable. They are marginally more expensive but give you full control.

For seedlings I would keep it at about 36-48" until they get adjusted then slowly lower until you are comfortable.

I was thinking of using my burple during the seedling stage and switch to cobs at about 2-3 weeks

Mrs G - Day 48 - Stretched about 3/4" since yesterday

Mrs G - Rev 1 (the clone) has started to grow at long last. I will have to see when the clone was knocked off Mrs G.

Briar Rose - Day 56 Even though a week older than her sister she is almost the same size as Mrs G.
