A couple pics after the haircut and move into the new digs...cabinet #2...my Autos (15 days old) will stay in MedCab 1.0 for the duration of their life...might start another journal or post periodic updates on this one...cab2 is designed for photo strains. I'll need to reconfigure bulb layout for just one plant as its currently set up for 2 or 3 plants...anyways, I'll update in a few days with recovery status and cab details.

Thanks DK! I took 11 clones last night so she's not very happy this morning after that+defoil. The new cab has enough space that I'm hoping not to have to prune any more. We'll see!

She has recovered nicely after the branch pruning/cloning. The new cab is much brighter so I had some shock from that also and lost a few leaves but overall I'm loving the improved setup and extra space. I moved the autos in with her because they weren't very happy hanging with the clones. Not sure if I'll move them back or not. The light schedules don't really match for the autos and this sativa but maybe I can get away with 16/8? Anyways, not to ouch going on right now...

Hey DK,

yeah I'm just wondering if that will send the big girl into full flower since she is on 18/6 at the moment. I want to flower her out on 12/12 but don't want to switch the lights to that if the autos stay in there...i wanted to do them 18/6 the whole way...trying to find a middle ground in an effort to grow them all in the same box...the autos will go and be done no matter what so maybe I just keep vegging and pruning this thing for another 4-6weeks until the autos finish. Then I can flip it. Hmmm...

When i saw mites I sprayed my plants once with some very strong chilli water. I haven't seen the mites since but it caused minor damage to some of the leaves. This was about 2 weeks ago and everything seems ok at the moment.

Yeah I don't know what to do. I've been lucky enough to never have mites...of those that I know who have had them, NOBODY has been able to recover and still meet grow goals so they've all been scrapped. I'm so attached to this girl now even though it was just a test plant to dial in my cabs before I started my autos...

It's progressing so fast I can't believe I missed it. I think the stress from all the chopping invited them in. Any n other success stories with mites? Azamax?

I'm still vegging and can do so indefinitely so I'm wondering if I should make this the Mite Get A Harvest journal...see what I did there? Haha

Anyways, wishing you all better luck! And how the hell are spider mites even alive in Eastern Oregon at this time of year!?!? It's the middle of effing winter!

Alright, I'm going in hard. I'm gonna save this lady.

Step 1: ice water/alcohol wiped own with soft sponge on underside of all leaves for manual removal.
Step2: neem oil/pyrethrin spraydown.
Step3: 24 hour recovery
Step4: Tanglefoot around all seams/vents/door
Step5: Azamax

Hopefully will be able to rid my lady of her troubles. Will continue with preventative neem oil application weekly.

Looking good!
Remember the #1 rule of growing with CFLs:
--Keep the lights 2 inches away from the tops of your plants--

The lumens will get absorbed close to 100% at this distance, if you go 8 inches away ur at around 20% absorption. Keep them close, check and move daily! Keep up the good work :)

re: Triggle & the Mrs.-Perpetual CFL/Soil/Coco/Photo/Auto-Medical Madness 2014-&infin

Thanks for stopping by HI. I'm running about 3 inches at the moment. I started around 8" and slowly moved down over about a week. The current cab is much brighter and warmer than the one they were in before and they stressed when first moved. All is well now!

MITE UPDATE:
Well, the mites are gone for now. The damage was pretty extensive and manifested itself slowly day by day. After the cloning and trimming just prior to the infestation and the subsequent trimming of dead and overly - infected fan leaves she's looking kinda slim...soil flush and feeding today. Beginning Open Sesame application as per FF schedule.

Will continue preventative maintenance for mites and I have bumped my humidity up a bit. Plenty of circulation for it.

The Autos: still have the BM and NL autos with the snow...due to the Mitescare I will now have to keep them all together. They did not get any mites though and are looking great. Watering schedules landed on the same day today so I gave them Open Sesame and flush. Pictures to follow whenever I get around to it.

The cab has remained in Veg light schedule despite multiple intentions to make the flip. Tomorrow it really happens. 14/10 until they're all done.

You guys have some journals that are blowing up! I can't seem to keep up but just know I'm swinging by from time to time and it's looking good out there!
