Never a real day off??mentioned in another thread - work long then short wks on shift, with a day off in the middle. i pretty much sleep through that day, and the first day off at the end of the cycle.
i also take care of an older house cut in to a four-plex, and give my parents as much help as i can. today i'm off, it is shovel day everywhere after feeding the plants... -41c

told her exactly what they were, and to use them if her level of discomfort warranted. she decided to freeze them today for storing. being the maypole marple she is, she trimmed the edges to make them picture presentable.
of course she ate the trimmings...
by the time i got over there to shovel my dad was near on the floor laughing at her, and he didn't eat any...
spent most of the day over there just to be sure all was good
oh yeah, still have to shovel there tomorrow some..
