mentioned in another thread - work long then short wks on shift, with a day off in the middle. i pretty much sleep through that day, and the first day off at the end of the cycle.

i also take care of an older house cut in to a four-plex, and give my parents as much help as i can. today i'm off, it is shovel day everywhere after feeding the plants... -41c :laughtwo:

Never a real day off??
Make sure you remember your PE drugs. Don't think you'd forget though.

never. literally mental health as much as anything.

Hmmm got boring in here

Too many cookies hun

reminds me... gave my mom some brownies.

told her exactly what they were, and to use them if her level of discomfort warranted. she decided to freeze them today for storing. being the maypole marple she is, she trimmed the edges to make them picture presentable.

of course she ate the trimmings...

by the time i got over there to shovel my dad was near on the floor laughing at her, and he didn't eat any... :cheesygrinsmiley:
spent most of the day over there just to be sure all was good

oh yeah, still have to shovel there tomorrow some..

Did she get really giggly??
I do when I consume edibles.
I bet she was funny.

Snow removal is a drag. Are you shoveling or using a blower??

kinda. pretty confused. kept deciding she felt great, and should get busy doing something, then would forget what she wanted to do. or why. or how. lol.

she had no point of reference. so she kept describing it as drunk. but not not drunk .... :laughtwo:

use a shovel. i have an electric snow blower. super meh. its kind of like baby's first snow blower... :cheesygrinsmiley:

Right. Looks like slurry tests for me today. Need to grab some distilled water.

I have a problem that's showing on the Purple Punch. She has signs of k and mag def. I thought it was a bit of nute burn but its along the leaf serrations.

It will likely take me into the afternoon before I have any kind of feedback for y'all. If my pH is ok then it is probably my lights or temps. My environment is a little on the cool side at night 66°. If the ambient temp is 66° I'm betting that my actual soil temp is a few degrees cooler.
That's at the temps that mag problems start showing.
It's been really cold here lately. My gut tells me that it's temps for the mag problem. Still have the slight K problem.

You may have to zoom in to see the affected leaf serrations.

Good eyes V! I can't see anything yet from here.
Funny you should say that Stone.
I stepped on my glasses this morning. I'm semi-blind.
Seems that I'm not having an easy week.

I really should have caught it yesterday. Was a bit preoccupied. I think it actually started two days ago when I was ill.

Maybe with the increased watering they are a bit too wet??

Still doing a slurry because I'm curious. Will get a good look at the roots then as well.
Going forward ,I will bring the temp up tonight somehow and let them dry out.
They are at 6.5gr/ gal MC. They should have everything they need. This makes me think too wet and cold. Anaerobic conditions will lower pH and bring about these sorts of problems.

I'll say! Only accept the easy things from here on. There ya go. Don't you wish huh? Well next week you won't even remember this so c'mon clock. Wait what? Right oh crap sorry about your glasses.

Cold and wet will definitely mess with your uptake. In terms of potassium, I think that burning edges and tips with otherwise healthy leaves would be toxicity, but the same thing with yellowing leaves would be deficiency. Of course, adding wet and cold could create lockout of other nutes and mess with a bunch all at once!

If you can't read this I can have Garrett Morris shout it at you...

Plans got derailed. Not surprising.
BF just got back with water. Won't get to slurry testing until tomorrow. Lights are only on for another 20 minutes. Fooey.

Mornin y'all.

Managed to keep the tent at 68° last night. Had to keep the bottom of the tent open all night and cranked the heat up to 80°.
I opened the geopots to have a look at the roots. I expected some air pruning to be happening. It doesn't look like the roots on the PP have made it into the fabric at all. I'm almost certain now that it's cold temps. I'll still do a slurry later anyway.
On a positive note....they are starting to look like buds.

they look good vg.

mine have gotten as low as 12c / 54f without them being killed. everything stops at about 14c / 57f and they just kind of sit dormant. 65f is 18c so they probably just stalled ..

it helps to get them high up as you can, the colder air hugs the floor. if you have issues with a cold floor, cut a piece of styro insulation, and put it under the tent when you can. doesn't have to be thick.
