I haven't caught a single gnat and I don't see them anymore. It's possible that I blew them out of the tent. I only had one or two.
Alas, I shall remain vigilant. Still getting the BT bits. Ordered those last night.
 
Is it possible that the weirder your dreams get, the better your plants look?

Howdy carcass.
They are getting big fast. I'm pretty pleased so far. The PP and the EC both could be a bit greener. A bit more like the TOg. I'll work on it.

Hopefully the gnats are in hell where they belong. I hate them so.
 
So, I'm concerned that my Pro Mix that I have in the geopots won't dry enough for transplant this weekend.
All I can do is try to fluff it up or poke holes in it. I have a fan going but this stuff really holds water.
I guess maybe I could pull it out of the tent where the rh is lower and stick a fan on them.
 
I'd just let them be until you can get the rootball out whole. Or if it's already root bound it should come out in one piece anyway.

The directions on my lime were to let it activate before planting. The spagnum moss that I added said to rehydrate as well. It was pretty dry.
Did I screw up??
 
OIC! I usually let the lime get active with the water I give the plants. I would do whatever you can do to get it to dry out now. Do you have anywhere to spread it out without upsetting the household? Or into a bigger pot where there would be more surface area?
 
I can figure something out. I have a large bin and some trays. A heat register and a fan should be pretty effective.
 
I stirred it up and isn't as bad as I originally thought. I think it will be ok. I just added another fan.
 
Good morning V. Glad to hear the gnats are gone or leaving. I find if I get the wet/dry cycle going soon enough, if there's anything they like to eat (fungus), it disappears during the dry cycles and they do too. There may always be one single gnat just to remind me to keep vigilant.

Hi Stone.
I am a tired chica today. I couldn't seem stay asleep. One of the kids had night terrors so after the third time he woke me I just stayed up.
Since I couldn't sleep I decided to dry my mix a bit. Gonna transplant the girls in a few minutes. They are beyond ready.

I hear you. Keep plowing forth girl! It's the best we can do today. I'm choppin one! A lil later, Ms Otter's off for a procedure I'll need to care for her later some as well. It's what we do.
